Five stars for prompt and courteous service. This is the best place for coffee on the island! Situated on the somewhat quieter Market street on Mackinac Island, this café has a terrific atmosphere. The music in the background could be 1940’s era, or jazz, or something else equally pleasant, as you sip delicious coffee. My personal favorites are the Honey Bear, or the Betty White. If it’s hot outside, a mango smoothie is just the thing! Check this place out! And before you leave, look over their fine selection of travel mugs and t-shirts.

One of my favorite coffee shops in all of the country. Most delicious latte. Amazing staff. Good backed goods. Fabulously located away from the hustle and bustle yet just the right amount of local/tourist people watching from the street or inside. Nice prices.

Lucky Bean Coffeehouse was great! The staff was very friendly and the drinks were tasty. I got a specialty drink, the«Honey Bear.» It was a chai latte with honey and a shot of espresso. My boyfriend got a classic latte. Both were excellent and we would get them again.

We spent 4 nights on the island and made this part of our morning routine. With three little ones in tow, the baristas were so wonderful in making us feel welcome. Carolyn was especially sweet in creating a warm atmosphere for us. They made child friendly temp hot chocolates. Their smoothies were amazing – we had the strawberry-banana and the peach. The cinnamon buns were super yummy! Finally, the coffee… they make an awesome drink called the Dirty Hippy(chai with espresso) that was super tasty. They have several«Island Originals» and the Caramel Sea Salt was excellent both hot and iced. Bottom line… this is a great small café with a «mom and pop» feel that is a nice slap in the face of places like Starbucks. Way to go Lucky Bean! We’ll be back!

Not into LB. Had the same experience the second time. Dudes working here are chatty in a silly way that seems forced and inauthentic. Barista asks me how I wanted my cappuccino. I said dry and instead got 11oz of fluid in a 12 oz cup. I normally don’t request how my drink is made but if you’re asking — you should deliver. Instead I didn’t even get a cappuccino but a milk heavy latte.

I’ve been to the island 3 times and this is the first time I felt that I stepped into a local place. I ordered a pumpkin chai and an asiago bagel. Both were delicious and I have to say the pumpkin chai was the best I’ve ever had. My fiancé, who usually doesn’t like hot drinks or teas, kept sneaking sips when I was munching on my bagel. The bagel was very fluffy which I enjoyed. The overall feel of the place is very local. I enjoyed looking at the local community bulletin board and seeing all the fun things going on in the community like sports leagues, AA meetings, and jam tastings. I loved that, and because of the vibes, I’ll definitely go on all my annual visits!

Cute little coffee shop located just off Main Street. Unique drinks on the menu and other milk alternatives like almond and soy. Loved my experience at Lucky Bean.

No complaint about starbucks, but if you slightly turn around a corner, you will find this small but pleasant cozy coffee shop with great coffee flavor. Strongly recommend to try it.

Wonderfully friendly employees and an authentic coffee shop. Grab a latte and enjoy the unique flavors and names. Be sure to grab a bag of coffee to take home as well. This shop is not to be missed and is locally owned.

Great coffee, great service! Best coffee on Mackinac Island! Good view of the street for entertainment. Inside seating is adequate. Place where the locals go.

This is a tiny coffee shop located next block from the main street. it was crowded… the service is kinda slow. there were more people working in the station than a Starbucks coffee. but its service is slower than a Starbucks coffee shop… but that doesn’t prevent me from buying a coffee from them… the wait was worth it. It offers a great variety of coffee… ordered salted caramel latte. latte is not too sweet. great flavor.

Just one street behind the touristy strip; located right where it should be. It’s quiet, quaint and a little Bohemian. Perfect place to get away from the«Fudgies,» & enjoy a cup of Joe.

This is a good coffeehouse. I’m not sure if they prepare the coffee any differently during peak season vs offpeak season. I was here in late July and the coffee was in thermoses like Starbucks. I tried their medium roast called Panama. I liked it, pretty smooth and good flavor. They also have a good variety of pastries and a few different types of bagels. They would be even better if they brewed the coffee on demand.

I got a small regular coffee for $ 1.85. I believe it was the«local favorite» flavor. It was super good. My girlfriend got a Chia latte Frappuccino that she really liked as well. Kind of a small awkward little place with limited seating and no room for lines, but it is a legit place to get coffee. Anything other than the diarrhea from Starbucks.

Super friendly staff! I asked for a cold brew and they didn’t have any; came back the next day and they had made some for me! Great coffee! Skip the Starbucks downtown and buy local, you won’t regret it!

Wonderful expresso with the turtle blend. Found them on our way to Starbucks and stopped in. Had to go back the following day for another. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and remembered us!!!

We ordered cappuccino there. 20oz for $ 5.00 They use portafilter machines and do all the stuff fresh from scratch. Pretty delicious.

This place was suggested to us while in another shop and I was greatful for the recommendation. They had some great cold brew coffee that was perfect after biking around the island twice. They had a wide variety of coffee beans along with your typical coffee drinks. This place is owned by «islanders» so you can feel good about supporting the local economy(you don’t need another shirt).

My wife and I stopped by Lucky Bean Coffee Shop on a beautiful Sunday morning. I ordered a Dirty Hippie, which was delicious. She ordered the Honey Bear special — light on flavor with extra shot of espresso. The presentation was flawless, the drink flavorful but not bitter. She also ordered an Oatmeal Raspberry muffin, which was moist and tasty. We definitely plan on coming back.

We got coffee here on the last day of our vacation on the island, just before heading back on the ferry, and it was a good way to end the trip. This cute little place offered delicious hot drinks and friendly service. My only complaint is that they were a little slow. It was a busy morning, and the two baristas worked as quickly as they could, but it still took over 20 mins for us to get our coffee. But was it worth the wait? Hell yes. Thanks for a lovely cup of coffee, Lucky Bean! We’ll be back.
