SNOWED in for our sons wedding during January 2016 blizzard. The hotel gracefully endured Her families and our families as we played cards, watched tv, ate and made merry as of we were in someone’s home. All staff was so gracious the four nights we stayed while we waited for the city to clear the snow. As far as accommodations. Bed was wonderful, no back pains whatsoever. 2 closets. Breakfasts were fantastic. Suzanne rocks her kitchen!!! Staff was stuck in house as well, she graciously helped us prepare our impromptu wedding rehearsal dinner. Thank you sincerely, David and Carolyn Ellsworth.

Nice property, and very pleasant staff. Located right there the local airport, and just down the road from Liberty University, there’s a lot going on in this area. My room was spartan, just the way I like it — with a decent breakfast in the morning, as well. You’d be advised to stay at this hotel, if you’re ever in Lynchburg, VA

Great experience! The staff was extremely friendly and willing to whatever they could to make sure we had a great vacation. They made arrangements to accommodate our room requests for certain floors and views. I would recommend requesting the top floor if you are bothered by any noise. We didn’t hear much from the rooms around us, but the people above us walked with a very heavy step and it was bothersome at times. Other than that, found everything very clean and in good condition. I would definitely recommend.

Very pleased with my recent stay(end of September 2013). Friends had stayed here in Aug, and didn’t have good things to say. Since we already had reservations, and other places were booked up, we decided to give it a shot. Our room was VERY clean, and all staff members we came in contact with were VERY friendly. I will stay again.

I’ve travel all the time and stay at properties at all different price and service points with all the major chains, and I can tell you that having your room made up every day is not optional at any of them… except apparently at this place. I came here with my family for a two night pleasure trip and upon returning from my outing at 10pm on the second night I opened the door to a room that had been untouched by housekeeping. This is AFTER they knocked on my door that morning and I told them to return in about five minutes when my family and I would be gone for the day. Perhaps they heard five days and not minutes regardless, making up a room every morning is hotel keeping 101 and they failed. Their management team tried to make it right with fresh towels brought up that night and an apologetic manager speaking to me at the front desk in the morning. It was only because of their sincere apology and attempts to make amends that earn them two stars as opposed to one. The rest of the property is what you would expect from this brand of Marriott property. The pool was exceptionally small, but they did have new looking dumbbells that are good enough to give you a pre-dinner pump. Basic stuff for a basic stay.

I am a fan. As some folks have commented, it is showing some age in places, but the staff was very friendly check in was quick & our room was clean. If you are traveling with boys — stay here. The suites allow one to sleep on ‘his’ bed & one to sleep on the sleeper sofa. Also, it is barely a suite, but the one kid who ended up on the sofa got to stay up late on his computer(wireless is free) and didn’t bother us, we could sleep. And it has a good sized fridge, again something great for cooling drinks off if you are just passing through or if you want to save some bucks and stock it up for a couple of days. Good breakfast in the morning, they made sure everything was out and stocked. Will stay here again

Three year old hotel across from the airport. I am not impressed. There was a burn mark on the carpet in the sink area… I got startled at first cauz I thought it was a bug… or dog poop… which actually made me happy it was a burn mark… but really… yuck. The carpet in the room are«carpet squares». To fix that burn mark all they have to do is lift one square to fix it. The furniture reminded me of IKEA type furniture. There was a long lime green sofa with sectional pillows that did not fit the sofa properly. The worst part of my stay was the bed and pillows reeked of cigarette smoke. It was NASTY! I wish I got in bed earlier than 1 am because I would have switched rooms. The stench kept me fighting to fall asleep and It was about 3am when I think I finally did! Had to get up at 6am & I had a long day the next day and I was exhausted! When I handed in my key the two front desk girls asked me how my stay was. I explained how terrible it was. Nothing was offered and the one girl told me to «try to have a nice day since I did not get any sleep.» I don’t think she meant that in a bad way but I do think she realized how stupid it was that she said that!!! As my long work day progressed and lack of sleep made it more challenging! I started to get more annoyed. Time to take action. I called Marriott customer care center and explained my situation. I forgot to mention… I am a PLATINUM status member! Luckily my room was credited to me and that did make me feel better. I know it is not the fault of Marriott that rude guests smoking in a non smoking room but I have to question if the pillow cases and sheets were even changed!!! Besides, it is NOT my fault either!

Two words: Chupa Chups. Any place that gives away unlimited free Chupa Chups has won my business. The front desk gave outstanding customer service and the lobby was clean. There is a well-stocked mini-market right there with plenty of whatever you wanted(though I didn’t see any beer, which I suspect may be due to its proximity to Liberty Univ). The room was clean, the beds comfy, and the bathroom well-designed so someone can shower or use the toilet and not interrupt any sink or mirror operations. The water pressure was good. Daughter said the room’s wi-fi was a little slow, but I found it the standard speed I’ve experienced at any hotel… The breakfast was okay, with waffles, scrambled egg patties, sausage patties and other standard continental brekky fare. Coffee was good and did the job of getting the blood flowing. There is a small outdoor pool and exercise room. They have a late checkout of 1PM.

By far, the best hotel in the Lynchburg area. Close to everything(not walking though)… Super clean, excellent staff!

It’s a hotel. It’s clean. I wouldn’t say it’s anything special, but it’s a good place to sleep while in Lynchburg. The rooms are well appointed, the beds comfortable enough, and there is a nicely sized LCD screen, a microwave, and a fridge — meets all my qualifications. It’s also right next to the most awesome bar in Lynchburg(Marilyn’s) and it’s totally ok, no matter what the staff of the hotel says(it seems they have a strange bias to the place). It’s close to the airport, but a bit of a drive from anything else. There are a couple of crappy chain restaurants in near proximity(Logan’s, Olive Garden, Etc.) If you want anything with character, you’re going to have to drive 10 minutes to downtown. The three star rating of «A-OK» sums it up perfectly. Normal rate: $ 129. Prepaid rate: $ 109.

Place seems fairly new and full of business travellers. Room is the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Clean, fresh, spacious, and the free wifi is a definite plus. Breakfast is included as well. Nice buffet with warm options such as waffles, eggs, sausage, and also healthier choices of fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereals. The staff are all super friendly, easy in and out, and even treadmills that seem like they were actually purchased in the 2000s.
