I’ve been here twice while up in VT on a ski trip, and the chai is FANTASTIC. I’m a huge chai latte fan, and you know a place will be good when they have a separate section of the menu for chai options. Definitely recommend this for great coffee, food selection, and a fun atmosphere!

A good place to get great coffee in Ludlaw. The shortbread cookies and breakfast sandwiches were great too. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice coffee shop/café. Large selection of food and full coffee bar. I got a self serve drip coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Both were very good. The sitting area is large with a wide variety of tables. It was not crowded when I ordered but I noticed a short time later it was packed. I would definitely come back here if I were in the area again.

We ordered a couple breakfast sandwiches to go and waited at least 15 minutes. Perhaps my standards are a little high for Vermont, but the service here seems slow across the board at most places I visited. The sign even says«slow food» for what it’s worth… On a better note the staff was very polite and attentive. The restaurant had a nice local coffee shop vibe and smelled great. I love the hand written chalk boards! As for the food, the eggs were cooked a little too much and the bacon was very disappointing. I’m fairly certain it was Oscar Meyer microwaveable bacon. I ordered extra and I didn’t really notice because the slices were so thin and lacking substance. I saw that they had a selection of pizzas and other great menu items, which I look forward to trying on my subsequent trips back to Okemo. It’s at the base of the entrance and you cannot argue against this locations convenience.

We absolutely loved Java Baba’s. We were looking for pizza in Ludlow, and none of the other options looked great so we checked out this café. They have options for everyone. Their 18″ pizzas are enormous, more than enough for two people. I shared the Tuscan with a friend, and I really liked the thin crunchy crust. The staff is very friendly! Our order took a little long because they had a lot of take out orders so Donny offered us free desserts! Totally recommend trying this place out!

Great little joint for a quick lunch! Deli style sandwiches, soups, wraps, homemade pizza, hummus & quiche. Lots of organic teas & coffees to choose from — beautiful stop on route 100 if you like to look at fall leaves!

Got a make your own turkey sandwich. Bread choices were just sliced bread or a French roll, got the French roll because the price was pretty high and I couldn’t justify spending $ 9 on a regular bread sandwich. Had turkey, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayo and cheese. Turkey was dry as a bone and old tasting. Construction of the sandwich was horrific– had to take it all apart and rebuild just to get in my mouth. Got maybe 5 ruffled chips with my sandwich, my neighbor had a huge mound. Over not impressed. Will not go back.

We’ve been here a couple of times over just one weekend. Personable staff, good service. Sandwiches are quite good, and a decent value. Specials like the quiche were excellent. The ice cream — yes! «Deep Sea Treasure» is highly recommended.

This is everything you want from a cheap eatery. They provide wholesome food from a friendly staff. From pizza to sandwiches to ice cream and coffee, they’ve got it all. I was very impressed with their chicken pesto sandwich on a freshly baked French baguette. The pizza had great flavor, and was spiced and baked correctly.

I have to say that for a place at the bottom of the mountain where one would think you don’t necessarily have to be good to stick around if you have the right location, this place was a welcome surprise. The southwest steak wrap was delicious, juicy and well seasoned. The coconut hazelnut coffee was particularly good and I had to go back for seconds. Try it, you’ll like it Mikey. Lol

Conveniently located in the strip plaza directly opposite the entry road to Okemo, this somewhat dimly lit, haphazard space does offer a reasonable selection of breakfast and lunch items for before or after the slopes. The breakfast sandwiches are freshly made to order, better than a lot of the ski area grab and go foil wrapped soggy varieties that are so common. Coffee is decent and prices reasonable.

Excellent lattes Great sandwiches: try the Hot Ham Wammy — Bob’s Way; or fried egg on a grilled roll with bacon and cheese among many others The soups are always good And someone who loves desert makes these things: they are all Good The young people who take your order(and deliver it to your table!) are universally very personable and welcoming. If you go, you’ll like it.

A longtime favorite, Java Baba’s delivers good wraps and a mean cinnamon role. The gazpacho soup remains quite good as well. It’s not fancy but its solid, reliable and a good place in town for a cup of Joe.

A local favorite, went here twice this past weekend, truly an Okemo Mtn staple. After a full day on the slopes and a much needed post slopes glass of wine in the hot tubs I was looking like I was going to be asleep by the early bird special hour of 7 pm. Cue Java Baba’s Macchiato to the rescue. Located at the base of the mountain right at the main turn to the Okemo resort it is über convenient to get to and next to two very great snowboard and ski rental shops, read this as a morning one stop shop. Post Java I was back up and running in no time for dinner and even hung in there for some 2 am sledding. The following day we came to Java Baba’s for lunch at the recommendation of the guy at the Nordic Center. He said the soup and ½ sandwich** could not be missed and he was correct. Small bowl of tomato basil with parm and a hammy whammy(get it baba’s style with the onions!) was pretty much heaven sent after getting my physical fitness on all morning long. In true green Vermont fashion they have tons of recycling options and yes they even have soy milk, horray. The staff is super nice, free wifi and local art on the walls. This place has everything a big group of people could ever want. Healthy route, soups, sandwiches or pizza. Tons and tons of specialty drinks in the cold fridge, local baked goods, teas, and even home made ice cream. **Note — everything is bigger in VT. ** A HALF sandwich looks like a regular sandwich, cut in half and you get both halves. I saw a FULL sandwich and it looks like what a lumberjack’s wife might pack him before he sets out into the woods for a solid 8 hour shift… This made me smile.
