Great food. Always great food and great customer service! Brisket is my go to, I haven’t tried anything else.

the beers were cold and the moist brisket, pork ribs and sample of smoked turkey were well worth the visit. The cobbler was great but the coleslaw was a bit on the bland side thus the 4 stars instead of 5. I’d come back.

Just finished lunch here today. I ordered ¼ lb moist brisket, one pork rib and a ½ jalapeño sausage with a side of Rudy’s beans. Everything was excellent except the beans. They just weren’t my style with all the black pepper flavor in them. Other than that, my experience was a lot better than expected! Before I leave, I’ll fill up my gas tank and buy a 6-pack of beer! What a cool concept!

The food is amazing. I’d give them 5 stars, but I prefer corn bread to white bread and the pulled pork is greasier than I am accustomed to. The lean brisket… YUM! My husband had the sausage… wasn’t offered a taste, so it must have been really good! Lol! We had take outs, so will go back and review the entire menu and dining experience at a later date. On a side note… they spell sauce… sause. Kinda cute. ;)

This place has always been and still is just ok. It is convenient and easy and the flavor isn’t too and the sides are good. That being said, there are plenty of occasions where the meat is quite dry, particularly the chicken, but in a recent visit the brisket was also quite tough. This state is the capital of brisket bbq, this is a hard sin to overlook in these parts.

Man, what can I say? I love this place. It is a chain restaurant, and I should act snooty and sway you into embracing the culture and finding a local BBQ joint, but this place is just that good. The place is a gas station/BBQ joint. Two great worlds colliding. As soon as you walk in, your adventures to carnivore-land is directed through ice coolers filled with soft drinks and beer. At the counter, an employee takes your order while yelling your meat wishes to another employee standing behind a butcher table with an apron and knives, like a scene out of «Texas Chainsaw Massacre». Good ol’ Texas USA. The food is great. Big portions, big taste. And, it is especially fun to eat on picnic tables and bench seating with actual paper for plates and oversized bottles of BBQ sauce, both«sissy» and regular, right there on the table for your overuse. Stuff your face and get messy just like you did as a kid. Great place. Worth every penny.

Wonderful BAR-B-Q spot without a doubt. Had lunch selection of extra lean brisket and turkey. Delicious, fresh and tasty. Service was great and very pleasant. Even though I was a novice attending young lady provided me samples and walked me through process. Definitely recommend and will return.

Rudy’s is a chain and I shouldn’t like it. «The Real World San Francisco» is a stupid reality TV show and shouldn’t like that either but I like both. Rudy’s is not the best BBQ but it’s not the worst. No one watches«The Real World» for Judd people watch for Puck. What’s Puck going to do next? People want the villain«The Heel» but The Heel is nothing without the Face. Rudy’s BBQ is the Judd of BBQ Joints. Rudy’s is the face. Rudy’s is consistent and there is something to be said about consistency. Rudy’s is also next the place that I get my haircut and after the traumatic experience of getting a haircut you want to hang out with Judd. If you are cool with getting C’s then this is the place for you. If you seek danger and are watching«The Real World» waiting for Puck to get kicked out of the house then head to local BBQ joint. I always get the pork loin sandwich, Lays sour cream & onion chips, and small coke. It’s good, consistent, and fine every once in a while but I will never hang out with Judd on the weekends. Puck for life!

I was in Texas for a business trip and stop by here since my cousin recommend it. Since this was first time they gave a bit of the lean brisket and turkey to sample. They were a little dry so i wasn’t impress. I got ½ of moist brisket(again recommend by my cuz) and a few sides. When I took my first bite of the moist brisket… WOW! It was the bomb! Tender like pot roast! I could have eating a lb or two of this. Definitely come back for this! Don’t see how people order anything else from here.

Although Rudy’s is a chain you wouldn’t be able to tell by their BBQ. I lived in Austin for several years and I was a Rudy’s fan then, and I still am! The feel of the restaurant is exactly the same as the one in Austin. Let me start from the beginning. I’ve been here twice. The first time, the food was really disappointing. I went on a weekday, in the middle of the day. The BBQ was dry. even the moist brisket. I swore never to come back. But I did, and I’m glad! The second time I came on a Sunday during dinner time. I ordered baby back ribs, moist brisket, sausage, and cream of corn. Everything was SOMOIST and seasoned perfectly. The dry rub on the ribs was so good that sauce wasn’t needed(although the sauce is really good). Brisket melted in my mouth and the sausage had a nice bite to it. Everything had a nice smokey flavor. So, moral of the story is, come during peak hours. If you come when its slow, you may end up with dried out BBQ. The service was okay. The girl who took my order seemed to hate her job. I guess I would too if i had to smell all that BBQ and not eat it!

Yanno what one of the best things about Texas is? Rudy’s. Love the pulled pork, & ribs. The moist brisket is to-die-for, definitely one of my favorite things. Especially when you got a hangover. The potato salad is probably favorite side. One of these times, I’m gunna have to try the chicken & turkey… I’ve been saying that for years though. Haha.
