Indigo Salon & Day Spa

Very nice Spa/​Salon. Super friendly staff and all are very accommodating. A little pricey for certain services but is a nice treat for once in a while.

This is the worst salon. Horrible service, expensive and the manager is the worst manager I have ever met. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. Beware! Stay away. There are plenty of good salons in the area. Go somewhere else and you will be much happier and less stressed.

Megan will tell you the truth about what is and trendy and what would make you look your best. I traded in Newbury Street for the same quality of skill and a much better vibe. My hair looks great and I actually enjoy going to the salon instead of putting up with it.

Lori is an insanely talented hairstylist… an artist really! I travel from Newton to Lowell just to have my hair done by her! I’ve never left Indigo unsatisfied… I’ve always left THRILLED! I get tons of compliments on my hair cut, color and style no matter where I go! I like to have fun with my hair color and Lori is always making suggestions or doing something different that just comes out more amazing than the last time! I used to have unruly hair and issues with my skin. Since coming to Indigo and using the products that Lori recommended… I look forward to showing off how amazing my hair and skin look and feel! I’ve been waxed a few times and had facials as well. The girls have always listened to my wants and needs and provided above and beyond service to make sure I got what I wanted… and then some.
The spa itself is beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. I find Newbury Street and NYC to not only be overpriced, but the salons and spas I’ve been in have felt uptight and not always welcoming. Indigo has the right amount of value for the money… you get incredible service and results without having to empty your wallet.
My husband also makes the trip to come for his hair and massages. He looks more handsome each time I see him! (love you honey!) Seeing my hair and hearing me rave about Lori made all my local friends make the trip to Lowell as well and get the experience that I have and they won’t go anywhere else now either!
No matter how crazy my day gets I can always look in the mirror and love my hair and as silly as that may sound… some days it’s just enough!

Had my first facial in 6 yrs! Just coming around to taking care of my skin again… Skeptical cuz I haven’t found one I really like… Then got on Unilocal saw Indigo Salon and Spa, saw rating and review… Thought I’d give it a try… Called and booked my appointment… Arrived there and was greeted by one of the girl… Since it was Monday, the place was quiet with soft music playing from the embedded speakers in the ceiling… Filled out my client card and soon my aesthetician name Marcy came and greeted me, took me to my facial room… as she started on my facial, I felt really relaxed and comfortable… She took her time giving me a great facial and my skin just glowed right after… Very happy with the result… I booked another appointment for 2 weeks for a basic facial…
I’m also an aesthetician (but haven’t been practicing it for awhile) and hair stylist, so I am pretty picky and have higher expectation cuz I know what it should be like.

I used to go to indigo once every two months. I had a great experience, but I’m not happy with their spa service anymore. The service has change… I’m assuming new management. I always go for the facials, but techniques and time limit is shorter.
Will not return.

Fist visit to meet Megan this weekend and loved her and the salon! Fabulous advice, cut and price all in one luxurious setting.

I wish I could give Indigo more than 5 stars, which is why I’m choosing to write a second updated review.
As mentioned in my first review, I started coming to Indigo only to get a haircut with Lori. I had always dyed my hair red with henna at home, and was a little afraid of standard dye. Once I decided to go for it, Lori’s color expertise made it easy and fun (two things I could never say about DIY henna!) — and affordable. I know that for the same level of quality and service, I’d EASILY pay double the price tag in Boston. I get so many compliments on my color and cut — at least a few a week! All thanks to Lori!
I’ve also started getting regular mani/​pedis with Lisette — and I look forward to them almost more than anything else! She’s fun and personable, but also makes my heels soft and smooth while helping me pick out awesome glitter polishes. What more could you ask for?
I also do brow waxes and an occasional facial, all of which have gone smoothly.
All of the staff I interact with on a regular basis have been friendly, courteous, and professional. I always feel pampered and appreciated. Needless to say, I enjoy and look forward to my appointments at Indigo Salon and Day Spa… and I won’t be going anywhere else.

My wife and I have both had a number of massages here. We have enjoyed them very much and have returned a number of times.
