The Silver Spoon

My wife and I were had our wedding reception at the Henry Clay in October 2013. Silver Spoon is the exclusive caters for the Henry Clay. Day of the reception, the food was good and the staff was fabulous. The staff made everyone feel right at home. There was even a staff member assigned to my wife and I and to the wedding party to make sure that we always had a drink or food if we needed it. However, leading up to the reception is a different story. The office staff were a nightmare to work with at times. Once we signed the contract they were slow to return my emails, they were rude to our decorator, they were not accommodating with how we wanted the layout and decoration of the event space. It appears that they are very set in their ways and if you try to do something different you will get some resistance. However, I must say that we were able to decorate and layout the space how we wanted, but it took pushing back.

They were very helpful. I expected the presentation of the food to be a little better (we never had a tasting as they were unavailable to do one, which would probably be my one complaint… they were difficult to schedule with) but they took care of a lot of odds and ends and made the day run more smoothly and more enjoyable.
