Well 1st night of 2 for Musical night. Jake, Becky and I went to see Green Day’s American Idiot being preformed by Acting Against Cancer. WOWWOWWOW. Amazing job, they did such a wonderful job putting on this EPIC Musical. I saw the Broadway Version of this last year with Mark, Bryan and the Kids. I must say AAC did such a wonderful job doing this. Becky and I had 2 drinks both(St. Jimmy) was yummy. After show we were able to greet the full cast. All so friendly smile emoticon We sat next to father of young man playing Tunny(he was perfect) His Father very nice gentleman and nice talking too. While Becky and I went to restroom during intermission we had another actors mother standing behind us. She is the Mother of young woman playing(what’s her name). The whole show was great, and looking forward to Saturday nights show when I go with Kayla, Erica, Linda and Justin. After the show Becky, Jake and I walked a bit then had some sushi and sake at Sapporo on 4th street. but that is another story in its self tongue emoticon. #aacIDIOT #EPIC #AMAZING #StJimmyDrinkisGreat #LoveStJimmy

A few weeks ago I attended a Women in Philanthropy event in a main hall. The setting and catered luncheon was fabulous. I’ve also, attended theater there performed by a gay theater troupe and it was fabulous in an old and small auditorium. You can’t go wrong by planning an event that The Henry Clay… you will not regret your choice!

I can’t say anything for the process of renting for an event, but I attended a birthday celebration for a friend here recently and wanted to attest to the wonderful space this venue offers. Walking up to the building is one of the best parts. This classical and regal exterior in downtown Louisville really stands out as a nice piece of history amidst the assortment of commercial and modern buildings. The Henry Clay was originally built in the 1920’s as an Elk Lodge and then was converted to The Henry Clay Hotel and later turned into a YWCA. We were in one of the rooms on the fourth floor and had a lovely view of the city. The Henry Clay’s whole thing about being a historic setting with modern amenities was very apt and that juxtaposition brings a lot of charm to the atmosphere.
