The lamb vindaloo was delicious and very authentic. I have been disappointed in other establishments with a generic approach to vindaloo. They don’t deliver the wussy American version of spicy, which is probably my favorite aspect. When you ask for medium spice it’s Indian medium. I’ll be coming back to try some other dishes, most certainly.

We hadn’t eaten here since moving out of the area about 15 years ago. We were in the area and decided to stop in for dinner. The restaurant has nice upscale décor and has obviously been updated since our last visit. Service was good and our food was good. Hubby and I both had Malai Kofta and our son had Vegetable Korma and of course, we had naan and various chutneys as well. If you’re in the area, check them out!

I really appreciate good Indian food and this place has a great variety and quality of food. The first time I came we have the buffet and the food was excellent. Then when we got the bill I couldn’t believe how cheep it was, I was in heaven. An all you can eat buffet for a cheep price was outstanding. I love finding Indian food places to feed my fix, but I sometimes get discouraged by the price. This place is a winner in my book. Plus I like the decorations and the servers are nice too.

I’ve been going to Taj Mahal in Louisville for so many years, my kids were small and now that they are teenagers, they are totally hooked on the chicken Masala, I think my son has ordered that same dish for over ten years… I can’t blame him, the Masala is delicious. So it’s no surprise that last night, for his 18th birthday, my son chose the Taj to Celebrate. Basically everything I have tasted there, from Saag Paneer to the moist and tasty Biryani is perfect, I can’t remember a dish that disappointed me. They also have a great buffet for lunch. Perfect when with kids, they get to taste a little of everything and decide what they like. Over the years, the restaurant’s atmosphere has evolved, from white bare walls years ago to a very nicely decorated place. The staff is always professional and friendly. And the best part, it’s only a couple minutes from my house, how lucky!

I love the Taj! They are super friendly to families and have great customer service. This place has killer naan, the absolute tastiest tandoori chicken I’ve had outside of India, and the vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious– especially the bharta makhni. The lunch buffet is amazing and SO cheap– it comes to $ 21.98 for my myself, my husband and my 4 yo daughter(because she’s a light eater and they never charge her). This is our weekend brunch happy place, but we also love to take our out-of-town visitors here for a proper dinner. You just can’t go wrong at the Taj!

This is probably in the top 3 if not the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever eaten and I’m pretty well travelled. You must try the chicken Korma! The entire staff’s customer service was great. Nice atmosphere and really REALLY good food!

I love this restaurant! I have been dining here for 15 years. Their tandoori wings are amazing, as well as the chicken tikka masala and their chicken vindaloo. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite. I usually get it as take out, and each time I do they include a bomber of beer free of charge. Definitely check this place out, it is well worth it!

Food is pretty good, but service is horrible! I only saw waitors but extremely unfriendly and didn’t even check on us once.

By far the best Indian restaurant that we’ve ever been to. The restaurant was nice and clean and the service was on point. The food was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. We had the Chicken Mahkta, Chicken Korma, Combination Biryani, and garlic Naan. We did not have any left overs! I have a picky 5 year old son… and he absolutely loved the Chicken Mahkta with the Garlic Naan. They also give out a complimentary rice pudding dessert — a light dessert with the right amount of sweetness. We’re from San Diego and while being here in Colorado we heavily rely on Unilocal reviews to find a good restaurant that would satisfy our cravings… Unilocal food reviews in Colorado have been disappointing up until now after eating at this restaurant. The reviews are true — delicious food, friendly/fast service, nice ambiance. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDEATINGHERE!(We can’t wait to come back and try the lunch buffet)

This place has excellent Indian food and a nice décor. We tried the chicken tikka masala, the dahl, another chicken dish, the assorted appetizer and naan. All were delicious, although there were only four different things on the assorted platter and it would have been nice to have a few more. This will be our Indian place.

This restaurant always makes it on our list of places to stop while visiting Lafayette. Just note, that they close after the lunch rush and open again for dinner. The buffet is filled with vegetarian and no-vegetarian options. The chai has endless refills and the nan is always beautifully made. Would it there everyday if I lived nearby. The staff is really friendly too.

We have been going to the Taj Mahal for 20 years. It’s the only place we even bother to go to for Indian food. Every time we dine here we are welcomed by name and the service is wonderful. We took our new son-in-law and his family here and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. There is a smile and amazing food waiting for us each time.

Consistently excellent food and service. We usually order take out for a Indian feast at home but enjoy the atmosphere and service when we eat at the restaurant.

I went to Taj Mahal tonight to have dinner with some friends however we found it close earlier than normal hours, why? They were cleaning at food serving hours. The only thing we could do is to order to go orders. We ordered lamb baryani, chicken baryani, chicken Tikka Masala and white rice, Naan bread. Me and my friends were really upset. I think the service is going down.
