I’m not sure why I’m bothering to write a reivew, since this restaurant will still have a «CLOSED» label in the title. The owner’s must be pretty clueless. The previous restaurant in this location was the Viceroy of India. It was bad. Apparently the current owners either bought Viceroy, or they changed the name of the place. Either way, to change a failing business requires actual change. The menu has not changed, and in fact they are using the same menus(3 months after opening) which duct tape on the front to tape over the«Viceroy» logo. I uploaded some photos if you don’t believe me. It’s pretty embarrassing. We got the jaipur samosas to start. They used crispy spring roll wrappers, which is nice, but the filling was just strange and did not taste well. I half expected to have some stomach issues later as noted by the previous reviewer. We ordered the Vindaloo, spicy. Apparently there are a few levels of spice here: mild, medium, hot, Indian hot, and inedible. They decided to go with inedible. The food could have been flavorful but who knows. We had to pour raita into it to cool it off. And trust me, I’m as tolerant of spice as they come, so this is saying a lot. The atmosphere was depressing. The place is large and there were only 3 tables on a Friday night. It’s sad, but I can confidently say that Delhi Darbar will be the next in a string of transient restaurants to fail in this same location.

New restaurant. Three months old in Louisville. Samosas were too salty, too many potatoes with limited spices. Lamb Saag was okay. Consistency nasty, but tasted good. Naan bread looked and tasted like pizza crust. May give another chance. But not overly impressed. Switched to 1 star due to the nausea, throwing up, and diarrhea. Don’t go here.
