Had a meatball sub there two nights ago. It was my first visit. Probably the best meatball sub I’ve ever eaten. The Meatballs were big and flavorful, but the best part was the marinara, which tasted home made, with chunks of tomato. So Fresh. So I went back last night and got the Chicken Alfredo dinner which comes with a salad and breadstick. Excellent food and friendly staff. Will try a pizza next week. This is a new favorite place. The price is very reasonable, considering fast food costs about the same. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Open space, modern and very clean. Love this place.

The worst service ever. Waited over an hour and still no food. Ordered a pizza and salad. When I asked when it will be out, they said they weren’t sure because they didn’t know what back there, WTH? When we finally got it, it was barely warm. Keep walking…

Literally the best pizza ever. Seriously you can’t even imagine how amazing this pizza is. I have yet to come here hungry but I always have the need to finish the whole pizza because it’s so addicting. Nothing even compares! I’m so full but it was so worth it. Get the pizza and get the salad with their house dressing. It will BLOW your mind!

Visited during Thunder over Kentucky festival. It was right around the corner from my hotel. They were busy, but nice enough. They didn’t know how to use the chip card reader which caused my transaction to decline, but I digress. Ordered a ten inch ultimate which is loaded with everything and a corona. Sat myself at a table, my beer was brought to. It was cold and good. My Pizza came out smoking get hot with stringy gooey cheese. The veggies and meats were good. Sauce wasn’t to Heaven and the crust has that new York Pizza chew. I’d do it again. Try. ot you might like.

Five stars because the staff is just as amazing as the food, and the food is out of this world! === === === === After watching a concert at the Louisville Palace just a couple of doors down, our group decided we were hungry and would love some pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni, and a medium pepperoni & mushroom. For five of us, I figured that we would have some left over. Not so much. We ended up gobbling all of it up — crusts and all. I was shocked. The crust is a bit crisp on the bottom and the dough is perfectly chewy. With a perfect amount of sauce, freshly shredded cheese, and tasty toppings, it was truly delicious. One of the members in our group is highly allergic to latex, and when the two pizzas arrived, they were delivered by a staff member wearing latex gloves. The good news is that he was wearing the gloves to deliver the pizza and she was able to catch it, but the bad news was she wasn’t able to eat anything he brought to the table. I convinced her to let me talk to the staff to see if they could accommodate her allergy. As it were, the manager was more than helpful in making sure we were taken care of this visit. He went to the kitchen, asked the pizza maker to take off his gloves, wash his hands, and remake a small pepperoni pizza for us. I offered to pay for the remake, and he wouldn’t let me. About 8 minutes alter, he personally delivered the pizza to our table and apologized to our friend for the issue — which at this point was really nice, but not needed. He did everything he could and we appreciated it. So, if you are in Louisville and want an amazing pizza, you have to give this place a try! I am quite certain that you will fall in love with it like all of us did.

great late night drunk food and cheap. Pizza is in no way sicilian as it’s round but it’s decent. like local upscale pizza hut with sammich choices.

The food is ok and the service is 10 times worse! We ordered a salad and a medium pizza the rest of our party ordered a pizza 2 salads and a calzone. After all of their food came out(we ordered first) I asked if our food was almost done he said let me go check. Then came back and said in 5 mins we will have it out I’m sorry we had an issue with the printer.(Accidents happen so it’s understandable) 30 mins later they bring our salad 15 mins after that they bring the pizza. the guy asked if we had a pizza and I said I think that’s it we ordered a while ago he literally just laughed shook his head and walked away. All he had to do was say I’m sorry. So because the workers are super rude and the food is mediocre 1 star is the best rating I could possibly give.

I have had pizza from this joint several times before, both dine in and delivery. I always find the service to be friendly and the food is consistent. I enjoy the pizza… especially the thin crust! Yum! I could eat their thin crust pizza all the time! The crust is nice and chewy with a crunch too. They have a decent selection of bottled beers too, if you are planning to dine in. Along with pizza they have sandwiches, calzones and salads too. I have never tried the sandwiches but they look delicious! My friend sometimes walks from the L&N Building just to grab one for lunch. I am sure I will dig into one as soon as I can stay away from the delicious thin crust pizza! Perfect location downtown near lots of other fun stuff. They even have some al fresco dining options when the weather is nice.

This pizza joint is very laid back & welcoming. The staff makes jokes & were friendly. The atmosphere & the staff is a solid 5 stars. The food I would say is a 3 star. There was nothing wrong with the food but also nothing spectacular either. Good ingredients, the pizza crust was kind of doughy(not my preference but maybe is someone else’s), but the breadsticks were yummy. Also, if you are planning on having a group larger than 4 or 5 people, a wise choice would be to call ahead. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I would mind coming again when I’m in Louisville.

Bourbon chicken pizza. Awesome. Best part was the crust. They tasted like breadsticks. Very good texture and flavor. I’m more of a thick crust guy, but as far as thin crust goes, this is very good.

This pizza is seriously the best pizza in town with the best price. I’ve lived in Louisville my whole life, and am sad I’ve only recently been turned on to this place. They have delicious crust, salted perfectly, and fresh ingredients piled on masterfully. I’m excited just thinking about it. Seriously. My husband knows that a sure fire way to my heart(and elsewhere) is with a leftover slice of Sicilian’s pizza.

I am always a fan of trying restaurants that are not part of chains. Local dives are just my style. The pizza here is extremely flavorful, and the staff is very friendly. By luck I live close enough to not really need them to deliver. When I called I was told it would be two hours for delivery, and I was able to walk there in less than ten minutes. Despite other reviews discussing subpar food, that was not my experience at all. It was definitely good, but a bit over priced.

I was staying at the Brown Hotel and walked over for a late lunch. They did not have by the slice so I opted for a calzone. The calzone that was sub-par. It was thick with the crust and not much toppings. The seasoning on top was good, but there was a lot of breading. It came out on a pizza pan with sauce, no plate. I asked for silverware and was directed to a counter by the register that had foam plate, plastic utensils and napkins. If you’re close and really want pizza I would recommend it, otherwise I would go for something different.

I’ve dined in during lunch hours, as well as carried out a pizza late in the evening. Never attempted delivery because it sounds like a nightmare according to other reviews. During lunch, this place can get pretty busy. When you eat in, you order at the counter and your food is brought to you. I’ve seen lines out the door. When I’ve dined it, it’s always taken noticeably longer than other lunch places downtown. Personally, I think carryout is the way to go here, since you can do your waiting elsewhere. Taste-wise, the pizza is pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but a bit above average. It wouldn’t be my first(or even tenth) choice for pizza in Louisville, but I wouldn’t be opposed to eating here if it was suggested.

The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is because if we’d gone in and ordered the same pizza it would have been amazing. That said, I’m currently eating pizza that barely passes for warm, and took a whopping two hours to be delivered. We’re in Louisville for the weekend for a «just because» trip and decided to order in for the night. Sicilian was the best rated pizza place that delivered to our hotel, and the Unilocal reviews made it sound fantastic. I know it’s a busy weekend, but I’m pretty sure these guys saw an out-of-town number and decided to dial down the«give a damn» to about 1.5. I want to be able to recommend these guys to friends who come to Louisville, but I just don’t think that will be possible.

I work downtown and was hungry and in the mood for some pizza. Being worn out on the run of the mill chains, I searched the net and found this place delivers. That is a definite plus since my lunch would be over by the time I got to my car and drove there. I ordered a small 10″ pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon and basil with extra cheese. In hindsight, I should have taken a picture of it. I was beautiful and tasted the same. Just the right amount of sauce and toppings on a crisp base of very tasty dough. I didn’t order anything to dip my crust in, and realized that this crust didn’t need it, not one bit! Delivery was quoted at 45 — 50 minutes(which is about what I expected for a order placed right in the midst of busy lunch rush). My pizza actually was delivered in 40 minutes, so they exceeded my expectation there as well. Food was good and hot. I will be ordering from this place again and plan to visit in person so I can have that«right out of the oven» experience.

This place is good. I am always skeptical about trying local restaurants and today was no different. However, I am traveling for work and this is a great little eatery. First of all, the place is clean. It’s a small restaurant on 4th and the surrounding and outside doesn’t look that pleasant, but it is nice on the inside. I ordered the one topping special and let me tell you, it was good. I ordered the sausage pizza and it was delicious the dough was so fresh and so was the sauce. It didn’t take too long to get the pizza which was good because I was super hungry. My co worker ordered the Greek salad and it was huge. She said it was delicious and the lettuce looked very fresh. I gave them 4 stars only because, although the pizza was delicious, the sixes were not that large. The dough was thick and maybe if it would have been cut into bigger and longer slices then it wouldn’t have been too misleading. There were like 8 little slices and I ate it all, but if the slices were normal sizes there may have only be 2, maybe 3 slices. I think this will be a regular for me since I’m here so often.

I have been coming to Sicilians for years now since its within walking distance of my college dorm. Overall, my experience with Sicilians has been fantastic with only a few hiccups along the way. The staff is pretty friendly and, while their delivery can take a while to get to you, it’s pretty great for those days you don’t feel like going out to get anything. The pizza at Sicilians is so deliciously distinct that it ranks up in my favorites. There are so many fantastic options to choose from that you’ll be hard pressed to find a pizza you didn’t like. Their calzones are pretty great as well. Pizza not your thing? No worries! They have a wide selection of other foods on their menu. They offer several varieties of salads for those wanting a healthier option and their wings tend to be a favorite among my friends. They also have phenomenal sub sandwiches that are among my favorites to order. Another one of my favorites is their pasta and breadstick dinner. If you’re ever walking down fourth street or seeing a show at the Louisville Palace then you should definitely check out Sicilians.
