Great ambiance and food. Their white pizza is amazing and Fried Oreos are a hit if you need something sweet. Hang out with the cool street art and video games while you wait!

The staff was rude to me on the phone when trying to get an update my order. I ordered at 1:15an and my delivery got here 3:30am even though they said 2:30am would be its arrival time. In addition when my my24 representative was being very helpful to talk to the restaurant for me, the restaurant said«well it’s a 2 ½hr wait time, take it or leave it»… I paraphrased what the said but their demeanor and attitude made it’s point that they have a bad reputation for a reason and I do not recommend ordering delivery from here. Ended up cancelling.

Best late night food in town! Great beer specials… PBR tall boys are killer. The chicken bacon ranch was so good I rethought my entire existence. If you don’t like Spinelli’s you should move to Canada. A subterranean oasis unparalleled in the underground slice game.

A co-worker and I went ot Spinelli’s for lunch(a little before 1 on a work day), hoping it wouldn’t be too crowded. He had told me he wanted to try the place again because he heard they did something different with their sausage. As always, I was down for PIZZA! Spinelli’s is located in the basement of a building, so it can be missed if you aren’t looking for it. Go down the stairs right off the street, through two doors, then you enter the little pizza joint. As we walked in, a driver told us to take a seat anywhere… as we were seated, he came back and apologized. We needed to order at the counter. There was only one person working. who also happened to be the cook. I felt really bad, because even though it wasn’t busy inside, you can tell there were a few delivery orders — my guess because people didn’t want to walk in the cold. With no menus to go off of, I just ordered one slice of pepperoni and a fountain drink… for less than $ 6. Let me tell you… the slices are HUGE!!! I swear my slice was a quarter of an entire pizza. My co-worker, who ordered two(because he’s a «big boy»), had to get a box for his second slice. The pizza was okay. A little greasy for my taste, so I dabbed the excess oil off. We dined in and chatted, whicle catching news on the few televisions they have around. Overall, cheap, okay pizza. I was just a little disappointed that they only had one person working around the counter.

Sorry guys. A street musician recommended this place. We were warned that the atmosphere was«different». The entrance is dark, scary and reminded me of a carnival haunted house. Still, we bravely went in. Could not find anyone. Period. High noon and no one in the kitchen. On our way out, we found a server passed out in one of the booths. She didn’t want to wake up for us. Not much more to add. Pretty pathetic operation

If you like thin crust pizza with slices the size of your head, you’ll be down with Spinelli’s. I do often think they are a bit pricy… but it is still better than Papa John’s or Pizza Hut or Domino’s… This particular location was close to us they day we ordered. To save $ 7, I volunteered to pick up the pizza instead of having it delivered. And it is… a strange location. They are not spooky steps into a murder basement in downtown Louisville… they are spooky steps into a basement restaurant. So… only a little less unnerving :-P Pizza was just fine.

Perhaps being from NY, we are accustomed to delicious pizza. This was our first time in Louisville & this place was recommended because of its late hours & «great pizza». The pizza wasn’t awful but it wasn’t really good either. The crust seemed undercooked and mediocre overall. However, our server, Liz, was very friendly!

«yay! I’m a fan» because they have several locations and offer delivery until 5AM, I believe 7 days a week. The Philly cheese sub with provolone, dressed with lettuce and tomato, is good. The pizza we got last year was pretty good. I can’t recommend the appetizer trio(French fries, fried mozzarella and fried ravioli). The fries were ok, and the rest of the trio *is* edible, it just wasn’t as good as others I’ve had. Thanks Spinelli’s for quick delivery service for late night metal heads after the Louder Than Life festival. :-)

Unfortunately the other evening when I purchased the only spinellis pizza that I actually enjoy, the breakfast pizza, I got a mouth full of dust. Spinellis has by no means ever been considered a favorite or delicious part of Louisville but the occasional bfast pizza had been a treat. Until I took my first bite and coughed up dust. The entire bottom of the pizza was coated in thick dust and even if you tried to wipe it off it was still like a dry, tasteless dust cake! I was coughing, my friend was coughing, my cat had inhaled some of the dust and ran away. It was the spinellis dust bowl of 2015. Besides the dry dust the pizza was good.

This is my second time at this location, and fourth pie from Spinelli’s. The pizza is consistently good and floppy East Philly style. The service is consistently uneven. I’m not even forty, but I’m always left with the impression«Where are the adults? Who left ask these punks in charge?» But, honestly, that’s also a big part of the appeal of this ultimate late-night slice haven. They always have good beer specials, from $ 1PBR tall boys to $ 2 better brews, you’ll always have plenty to drink to go with your pizza. But again, make sure you double and triple check your order.

This is the second time I stopped in for a slice of pizza as I traveled from Lexington, KY back to Chicago. Favorite place to stop in Louisville. Made to order slice today: pineapple, Canadian bacon and jalapeños. Delicious and quick service. Huge slices, made fresh to order, interesting to say the least atmosphere and speedy service

Fried Oreos? Chicken and Waffle Pizza? Are you kidding me? This place will put the south in your MOUF! It’s a solid late night place with character. Perfect for a late night slice or a lunch time pie! Spinelli’s in your mouth! Oh so good!!!

Convenient late night hours with a specialty of delivery service. But skip the restaurant visit. Pizza itself is average at best. Employees are youthful and disorganized.

Definitely not great or even good pizza but it’s edible and they’re open really late. They have the vibe of an 80s arcade that hasn’t been cleaned much since then. The pizza by the slice looked old and a little sketch so we ordered a pizza. It’s okay if you’re out late and need a bite but I’d go elsewhere during the day.

Pizza is huge and banging plus they have PBR! It’s a great place that is open until 5am plus they have air hockey and a chair to see how sexy you are.

For late night pizza, it’s what you would expect. In a basement of a building with spray paint all over the walls — this establishment supplies what you need at 4 am. Pizza and places to sit. Ignore the bright fluorescent lighting and feed your hunger. **They deliver until 5am apparently. Well-played Spinelli… well-played.

Hmmm… this place is quite the dungeon. It reminds me of the classic 80’s Pizzaria inside with some arcade machines and old booths straight out of the movies. I’m not sure if this place is going for that nostalgic feel, or if it is just very old. Anyway, most likely you are coming here for Pizza and don’t care about the ambiance. We ordered a large cheese pizza and a large cheese bread. There were 6 people in the group, all hungry after a night on the town. The food came out pretty quick, no complaints there. The Pizza was decent, not great but not bad. If you think of any generic(non-chain) pizza place, this is it. I think if it wasn’t for the cheese bread and the outdated dank environment, this place would have 3 stars from me, but that cheese bread. ugh… how is that still on the menu. It was dry, had barely any cheese(besides the middle, some reason had a ton in the middle) and was just all around flavorless. How can you get bread and cheese wrong? booo. Anyway, this is a good late night munchies place, but there are so many better pizza places to go if you are looking to make it dinner.

I was hesitant about getting a slice from here after reading the reviews but alas its one of the few options that’s open late around this area. This is not a place to go if you’re in a hurry or looking for an unforgettable slice. Instead, this will hit the spot if you need some sustenance after a night of beer and bourbon. we ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese on a Monday night. They girl taking the orders was in no hurry to do her job. the action Bronson fellow in tbe back was cool and got things going as soon as the blonde rate limiting step did her thing. Onto the food: The slices are huge similar to the pies I had at Rutgers in NJ. I suspect our slices were sitting out a while and were reheated not surprising for a Monday night. Had these been fresh they probably would’ve awesome. Seeing as the options are so limited in this area late night I would probably go back, I hope they step up their service game as this has the potential to be a underground gem.
