This place is good to shop at the majority of the time. The people who work at the JCP Hair Salon in here are nice and seem to really know what they are doing. The people who run the clothing and furniture departments can be very nice but last time I went here to get clothes the stockers and cashiers seemed to have attitude problems. I picked a shirt off the rack, went to the dressing room, tried it on and decided I didn’t like it, put it up, and the lady that was stocking clothes just rolled hers eyes at me as if I had done something bad by putting it back where it had been. Most people will just leave the item on some random rack or just throw it on the floor and those are the people that you should be mad at. After that happened the lady who was my cashier tried to make up an excuse on why she couldn’t wait on us then when she finally gave in and did her job she refused to scan our coupon. I had to calm my boyfriend down and stop him from yelling at her because she was really starting to push our buttons with the way she treated us and the lady before us.
But, I’m not going to let one awful experience ruin how I feel about this place. I have never had a bad experience here before and I just love their clothes, salon, & furniture! If you ever are looking for someone to dye/​cut your hair then I recommend going to Renee who works in the salon downstairs which is near the shoes.

Just left this store as their lines grew longer and longer. Tried to alert the manger of the long lines and was told that my calling had actually pulled someone away from a register to answer the phone. Too bad there is no respect for the customer at this store. I will find another place to shop and hope others do the same.

Seems to be the larges Penneys store in Louisville… including more housewares and furniture than the other stores.
Overall, it’s about average compared to the other stores. In regard to mens closing, they variety is quite large… prep, urban, grunge, professional… it’s all here at a good price.
My check out experiences have always been good to above average at this location. A fella at the register was ultra-​polite once… got called «Sir» a lot… not used to that. :o)
Like other Penneys… the merchandise is almost always on sale… making the prices good, but not necessarily «special.»
