Dooleys is awesome. Great food and great people. Not to mention the lunch deal they have. Any Cold Deli sandwich and a small drink for $ 3.99! Plus I like that its a local place staffed by very gracious staff. Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for a REAL bagel, or breakfast sandwich.

Dear Dooleys, I remember when you had more locations than the furthest-flung regions of Louisville. I remember when I could stop by your downtown location and pick up a bunch of bagels and use it as an excuse as to why I was late for work and not the fact I delayed getting out of bed because I am ultra-lazy. You saved me many times from lectures on time management from my boss. I have a card for a free bagel, still sitting in my glove compartment for seven months. Your bagels are delicious, but not so delicious that I am willing to drive so far from a free bagel. That being said, your staff is super awesome when I come in. Keep up the good work and consider coming back toward civilization again.

Unfortunately, the only thing memorable for me at Dooley’s was the cashier gentleman’s sweet hat, equally sweet mustache and flair covered vest. He looked like an adventurer of sorts and seemed like a decent guy. I got the salmon with capers, tomato and cream cheese on a plain bagel. I asked for the bagel to be toasted but I’m not sure if it was. It was chewier than I like. Maybe the cream cheese should have been flavored, or I should have went with a flavored bagel, I don’t know, but it all seemed a bit bland as well. I’d check them out again if I were in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way.

One tip, if you are going in there for bagels, go in the morning. I went in the afternoon for a late lunch last Friday and it was slim pickings. I had the Dooley Original Pannini which has ham, salami, Pepperoni, red pepper, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. It was very tasty. The chicken noodle soup was good too. I wanted to bring home some bagels but there wasn’t too many kinds to chose from. Next time, I will get there early! If they are as good as the pannini, I am sure they are awesome!

This is a chain so I do not like to comment specifically on most chains. I do however comment on store and staff and this location is always clean and the staff is very friendly.

Hey, this place is really tasty! I don’t know if I’d ever even noticed this little bagel and deli shop before, but last week after the tornados when a bunch of restaurants on Brownsboro were out of power(and thus closed), some coworkers and I ended up here– just because their OPEN sign was lit. Coming in, we saw a lot of bagels to choose from, a nice varied sandwich menu for lunches with bagels, wraps, hot and cold sandwiches(on bagels or buns) and some soups and desserts like cookies and muffins. The $ 3.99 special really was up my alley though– a cold sandwich on a bun or bagel and a fountain drink = $ 4.23 inc. tax. That gave about 5 options of sandwich types such turkey with cole slaw, cheese and thousand island or a turkey and jalapeño crème cheese, both with lettuce and tomato. Roast beef was also on a sandwich or two. On the bagel type of your choice(toasted if requested) and YUM, those bagels were the real deal. Regular menu prices were about $ 5 – 6 for sandwiches and wraps, some hot and some cold. The sandwiches were well stuffed and a bit messy(a good thing). Yeah, so two of the four people who went the one day returned the next day for lunch again because we just had to try more sandwich and bagel types… another very good lunch was had. 4 stars for good quality food, fairly fast service, good prices and a great selection of quality bagels.

Best bagel place I have been to in a while. Real bagels with freshly fried eggs and that fresh baked taste you just don’t find outside of non Jewish delis. I went here almost every morning during my visit to Kentucky and wish they had one here in Denver too! It’s super cheap too, and better than other, chain bagel places.
