I’ve gone two several locations Sunset and Pasadena. Amazing food, really good quality, home made food!

This is one is one of the newest location. My faves are chicken tarna plate and chicken tarna wrap and of course the garlic paste is to die for! This one has the cleanest and spacious dining area I’ve been aside from the one in um Toluca Lake. I come here when I’m in the area and order my usual. So if you feel like eating healthier from time-to-time and and in this area, check it out fo sho!

This Zankou Chicken branch is the best for me because the Shawarma is really tasty and less fat than others branches. Quick service. clean place, price awesome, and tasty food. All I can say 5 stars!!!

This particular restaurant does not have the full menu the other Zankou Chicken restaurant has on the other side of Sunset blvd. in Little Armenia. You can’t get the dolmas(stuffed grape leaf) for instance and other things the other restaurant has that I like to order. But other than that its a great restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. If you like Lebanese style of Middle Eastern food you will love Zankou Chicken for sure.

Top notch service and food! Their food is really delicious and the restaurant looked clean from inside! Plenty of seats are available. Parking is free and always available. I would come back for sure.

I’ve been eating Zankou Chicken all of my life at the various LA locations. Thursday was my first time getting food from this Zankou location. I bought takeout and ate the food at home. Unfortunately, the pickled radishes tasted awful and rancid. Lo and behold, I have some form of food poisoning. Had I eaten the food in store, I would’ve given it right back. Sadly, I’m stuck with this condition now until it passes.

I first discovered this place in the 90’s. I always went to the location on Lankershim. My boyfriend at the time introduced it to me. I moved out of the area and for the past 16 years I have not had the pleasure of eating here. On a whirlwind trip to Southern California I made a special trip. I ended up eating at the Sunset location. Oh my god. It was just as I remember. DELICIOUS! The Tarna with the garlic sauce was heavenly. The pickles were tangy and yummy. The Hummus was creamy and nutty. The restaurant was clean. The customer service was very good. I miss it already.

The food here is amazing and THIS Zankou is super clean. You can get two falafels for like $ 1.50 if you order any dish(including sandwiches) here. The last time I came here I was able to find parking in the lot they share with the liquor store. I think it was a holiday. Usually there is some asshole taking up two parking spaces. In any case the food and cleanliness makes this a great Zankou even if you have to park at a meter on Sunset.

Lawd Jesus, the chickens are lining up to taste this good. Do yourself a favor and get the family meal. Ask for an extra garlic. Then book the next 24 hours on your calendar, sit on the couch, and get a box wine. Dunk the chicken in the garlic. Dunk the pita in the garlic. Dunk your fingers in the garlic. Dunk your tongue in the garlic. Its intoxicating. Your burps will be the worst thing in the world for the next 2 hours. After that, you’re breath is going to stink for 18 – 20 hours. Flatulance? You bet. Call the boss, you’re WFH today, partner. You’re welcome.

Worst customer service ever! After the first bite we found a half chopped up fly in the salad. I take to the cash regsiter and tell them discreetly that there is a bug in my plate. Obviously I have lost my appetite and ask for the refund. The lady says you already ate it so no refund but I can get you a new plate. WTF? No apologies … as if they are not too surprised about finding a half copped up fly. So I say find give me a new plate. After 1 minute she calls me back and the palate is the one I have to her and all she did was replace the chicken with a new one. And added more salad. THESAMEPLATETHEBUGWAS!!! DISGUSTING! ! Quick and delicious food. Not the largest menu, but you’re not likely to be disappointed. I had the steak kabob plate. The meat was very well cooked, with so much flavor. It also comes with rice, onions, 2 slices of pita, a grilled tomato and garlic butter if wanted. All of it was very good. For dinner time they were pretty busy. It looks like plenty of people are order to go. I wouldn’t expect to wait more than 10 minutes for your food. I’m sure they have most of it ready. The seating area inside isn’t very big, which makes sense because the parking lot is tiny. Probably much easier to park on the street or across at the chase lot. Just not enough spots to accommodate customers when it’s busy. I’m wondering if this place could be a bit more eco friendly. They could easily use paper plates or real plates to serve all these items. Instead, they’re using styrofoam containers for all of it. The average person finishes the food or dumps it. Not sure why they’re in to go boxes.

I’ve tried it for a first time last night, the place was not busy at around 6.30−40, so I’ve got my food pretty fast, well done and very delicious. I’ve ordered a plate of chichcken and steak combination with rice, babaganush and salad with pita bread. The meat was delicious! So fresh, tasty, hot, crispy. I really enjoyed my first meal there and actually I am thinking to go back there tonight for dinner.

The service was great. The girl was sweet, especially due to the fact it was my first time trying Zankou and I had no idea how I wanted to order since everything looked so good! I ordered 2 kebab plates with 2 chicken, 1 lule(ground steak, pronounced loo-lay) and 1 shish(steak). It came with hummus, veggies, rice, 4 total pitas and onions. On the side they gave 1 garlic sauce each, which is more like a paste consistency.(Love the garlic sauce!) I added a small Taboouleh salad and Falafel special(2 falafel and side of tahini). Keep in mind, whe. You order kebab, it takes about 10 minutes for them to make your order. Sooo much food! All this came to about $ 30 which isn not bad for the quantity of food this was. My ravenous boyfriend and I made a huge dent in this dinner and still have some left over for a full meal and a half. We loved the idea of picking up «fast food» without it having to be your typical, unhealthy burger-and-fries type of thing. The chicken was delish but I have to say, the shish(steak) really was the star for me, cooked perfectly, smokey and tender… yum! The lule was decent but will not order it again… lacked flavor and was a little dry. We will definitely be back. Probably weekly haha… no, really.

Went to the Zankou Chicken with a couple friends last night(around 10 pm) and I have to say, it was better than I expected. This place is set up like a fast food restaurant but the food quality is far above any fast food I’ve had. I ordered the Lule plate with tabouli, hummus and basmati rice(it included 2 pieces of pita bread). All the sides were great, the tabloui’s ingredients were great quality product and the hummus was topped with a paprika that was a little spicier than I’ve had previously and I love it. The lule was flavorful but dry, but hey, what do you want when you order ground beef grilled on a stick and the restaurant has«chicken» in it’s name. I’ll order the chicken next time like someone who isn’t an idiot. Portions were very generous, a plate could definitely be shared between two people.(it came to about 13 bucks, no drink) Bonus: the pickled radish goes great with everything. Load up on it.

I love their food, but their apparent disdain for the environment keeps me from coming back. There is such a thing as recyclable styrofoam, sadly you won’t find that at Zankou. Also their giant plastic takeout bags could easily be paper instead. All the plastic utensils could be the biodegradable kind instead. The vast majority of people would pay another .50 cents a meal to know their meal wasn’t adding to our environmental problems. Clean up your act Zankou so that I can come back & enjoy the delicious food.

The best place for chicken! All their food is fresh and never frozen!!! Zankou was born in the city of Beirut, Lebanon. It’s so good. And I am glad they opened a Zankou chicken on this side of town. So far I have only tried their plate specials but their wraps look great. If you on Sunset blvd and craving good chicken go here! It’s a must!

Small space. Clean. At least 6 employees behind the counter but the entire time we were there dining in, countless patrons waited over 20 min per order. We were told 15 min and it ended up being 25. Good kebab combo plate. We shared the chicken and beef kebabs which did not look like much but had great flavor. The hummus was so-so as well as the rice.

I am now officially a huge fan of Zankou Chicken. My favorites are the beef shwarma, with rice, Hummus, garlic sauce, side salad, and taboule. It was just insanely tasty. Everyone at my office was so thrilled. It’s such a great flavor and it’s really hard to stop eating. I ordered catering for my office for over 20 people and there was so much food. It was perfect. There was even plenty for the next day and extra for me to bring some home. Definitely worth getting catering from this location!

I am the SHAWARMAQUEEN, so it might leave you shocked when I tell you that this was my first EVER visit to Zankou! So many people have told me that I need to go, especially since I’m constantly mentioning how I bathe in shawarma at least twice a week, so since I was left with making the lunch decisions this go-round, I pulled into Zankou! Clean place, however I definitely wouldn’t recommend eating off the floor. We ordered our food, grabbed some water and planted ourselves at a vacant table only to have our name called 5 seconds later. So far so good Zankou, I am ALLABOUTTHEQUICKSERVICE! My only complaint is that the salad wasn’t that big, yet there were two giant portions of hummus… So not necessary for me, however my dining companion could have used more for he COMPLAINED that the chicken was really dry and he wound up not even finishing his meal… I on the other hand essentially kicked my styrofoam box clean and was so tempted to rip into his leftovers but controlled myself… Like a lady? So is Zankou really as FANTASTIC as everyone says? Eh, it’s clear to me that not many people have had amazing shawarma in their lives, however I am shocked that one of my Persian friends even finds it good… Hmm! I mean it wasn’t bad, but I definitely will be making the trek to Skaf’s and Hayat’s Kitchen to curb my shawarma cravings in the near future! One thing I highly recommend you DONTDO: eat a hot pepper! First of all, it BURTS all over your clothing and secondly, it leaves you feeling as though you just visited a TERRIBLE lip plastic surgeon because my lips were on fire and puffy for at least an hour after I stupidly(yet ballsily) munched on it!
