Daphne’s California Greek

Always SPOT-​ON customer service here. Every time I have been here, the staff is super helpful. Michael rocks! And whoever is managing this place is doing a great job. Solid food too! Love it. Thanks guys!

Service was super, however gyros was room temp & chic shawarma was cooked way ahead of time and served cool.

Man have I been curious about Daphne’s for quite some time… AND I FINALLY GOT MY WISH to try it…
I think you can tell by my eclipses that… I was QUITE UNDERWHELMED and honestly, for the first time in a long while, truly disgusted with the food. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Mix & Match (2 sides of shawarma, side salad and grilled veggies)… Now when my meal arrived, I was super excited because I could smell a sweet cinnamon shawarma-​esque flavor that I truly savor… But once I started digging in, I realized that this «chicken» was shredded hunks of chicken fat, and at times I questioned whether or not it was even chicken to begin with… As for the sides: the grilled veggies were just fine, as was my plain salad… But they couldn’t make up for the «shawarma» I got, really, not shawarma at all.
My dining companion seemed to be ok with his beef gyro, and French fries though, so at least he was content… But even though I finished my plate (I’m the QUEEN of the CLEAN PLATE CLUB, and I hate wasting food), I was very unsatisfied and remember thinking how I wish I just ate lung at home…
Never again will I return to Daphne’s but at the same time, I’m glad I went so I could SHUT THE DOOR on my curiosity!
**I will commend this place on offering healthy options though! I do love Greek food… Perhaps the chicken kabob is better?

I am not sure if it is just this location, this was my first time at a Daphne’s, but I ate there on Thursday and the food was terrible. The rice was rice pilaf, The Shwarma a was microwave reheated, the chicken was extremely fatty. Total waste of money.

Okay so I got some vouchers to try Daphne’s again. I was so scarred by my experience that I took all this time to try it again. I got a steak kabob ala cartel and some fries. The employees (the same ones from before were there) they were very nice and helpful. My food was hot already relatively quickly. The cashier warned my that steak takes longer. It was a pleasant experience and I would go back in I were in the mood for the steak. That chicken not so much. I’m giving four stars cause the customer service really was pretty good.

I think the guy who was working is the owner of this branch. He’s a nice guy :)
However…
— The plate of food is so small for how much is paid. Like very small… I was not satisfied
— The food is average.
On the plus side: that lemon soup is amazing!!!

The food is not bad. I usually get take out from here. Its not too heavy (so this cuts down on the guilt) and the portions are decent. They usually mail out coupons which help with the cost. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is garage parking which makes life easier as well. There is outdoor seating so its a nice place to hang out and people watch.

This place use to be good a couple years ago. Now unfortunately it’s sucks, due to new management. The menu has completely changed. They use to offer things like pita burger, bbq chicken flat beard and many other delicious items. I’ve tired the new items and frankly have not been impressed. I also believe it is overpriced for what it is. I would love if they brought the old menu back and started handing out some coupons or something.

Amazing food and absolutely above and beyond customer service Salomon from the moment we walked in welcomed us with a smile. The cook Javier also deserves lots of credit for the delicious plates will be back. Prices affordable

I ordered a side of fries and waited 20 minutes for them. I finally decided to ask the guy where my food was, he turned to the cook and the cook pointed to the counter where my food was waiting and the server didn’t even notice.
people who came in after me were already eating. just because I didn’t spend $ 50 doesn’t mean they can forget about my food.
he didn’t apologize either. I’ve never ventured into this place before and I must have been desperate when I did today.
2 stars because it was edible.

I eat here every couple of weeks. The food is consistent. The last couple times the customer service has been outstanding. Michael was making sure everyone was taken care of. He was busy, and still managed to make sure that the restaurant was running smoothly and customers were taken care of. As usual, the food was very tasty. I’m giving them five stars today because of the outstanding customer service, that unfortunately is harder and harder to come by out there these days.

This place is great! Our food always tastes great, arrives quickly, is priced well, and the main guy who is here every time we come in is extremely friendly and accommodating! He seems so happy to be working, and his attitude is something we talk about leaving. Great stop for a healthy, quick Greek meal.

I feel bad for the people that work here. Everybody is so nice and they provide great customer service. However, the quality of the food and the menu has been in decline over the last year.
Today was kind of the last straw for me. I ordered the mix and match meal with «Fresh Carved Gyros.» I didn’t actually receive any Gyros though. To Daphne’s «Gyros» is a pile of meat not a sandwich. They call a Gyro sandwich «The Classic Pita.» I’m pretty sure you can’t pluralize meat unless there are different varieties. I wouldn’t say try my fresh carved plate of chickens.
So to recap:
A Gyro in the rest of the world is a sandwich, but at Daphne’s it’s a pile of meat.
A pita in the rest of the world is bread, but at Daphne’s it’s a sandwich.
I would avoid the plates and go with a sandwich or the soup.

Very disappointing and overpriced meal. I had a gyro and beef kabob combo meal. It can with four incredibly tiny triangle shaped pita pieces that tasted doughy and cheap. Then a small pile of gyro meat, kabob, rice, and salad. The meat was super salty, the tzatziki was watery and small, the rice wasn’t evenly cooked and the salad was wet…
Never coming back here again.

Manager Richard W. Contacted me and made up for the inconvenience I incurred during last visit. Appreciate a manager who cares enough to reach out and contact those with legitimate complaints.

The lamb gyros here are great. The yogurt and Greek side salad are also really good. The falafel is weird. It had whole chucks of chick peas and is kind of dry. Wasn’t a big fan of the falafel but I would definitely suggest getting the lamb gyro.

Meh, flavor was okay. If you’ve eaten a lot of american Greek, it’ll taste typical. Cali-​greek bowl with chicken was decent. Daphne’s is a good greek fix. It’s not bad– the meat was tender, sauce was good but it was a whole bunch of meh. Portions are also small (I’ll just keep my falafel meals to the stands).
$ 1.50 street pitas are where it’s at though, I can’t believe I came too early for a lunch special.
Service wise– they’re pretty fast. Quick preparation and nice people. I should be paying gratuity for this service haha.

Was at Best Buy couple days ago and decided to get a quick lunch before heading home. I got the new sundried tomato wrap, and made a combo with fire-​roasted vegetables and a drink.
The wrap was not too bad. Of course, seeing that it’s Greek fast food and the cheap prices, I wasn’t expecting a lot. For what it’s worth, it’s actually not bad at all. I would probably say ditch the fire-​roasted vegetables and choose something else if you are looking for a side. The vegetables I had were literally roasted to death, and was all mushy and soft.
On the plus side, service was really nice. The guy over the counter (whom I assumed was either the manager or the owner because he seemed to be telling the other staff what to do) was friendly, brought our food to us and even came around and asked if we needed anything else. Props on customer service.
3.5 stars.

This place was so close to school when I use to go down there. I freaking loved the food and the Hummus was really good! My favorite was the Hummus burgers. I felt like I was in a food comma right after. If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should!
