This taco truck is walking distance from my house and somewhat cheap so, other than them forgetting my husbands burrito lol, I was not disappointed. I will be back next week. :)

If you order a burrito make sure to tell them to go easy on the beans. I might as well should have ordered a bean burrito because that’s exactly what I tasted, instead of tasting some carne asada and rice. Oh and according to their menu, they put guacamole on the burritos but I just saw like 3 tiny pieces of avocado. I was really disappointed especially because I’ve had their tortas before and they were full of meat and delicious. I guess they are measuring the amount of meat they put on the food now since my coworker got a torta and it was pretty flat not much inside of the 2 bread buns. Their green salsa was gross but I liked their red one. I think that in the future, I’ll stick to Tacos Gavilan instead.

This place was across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel so it came in handy when my boyfriend and I got a little hungry before the Halloween party that we were attending. This place is kind of hidden and so it was nice to find this place. It’s like finding a hidden treasure on the street covered by a few cars on the street, haha. There weren’t many people while we were here. The tacos are pretty cheap but are highly quality. They tasted great. The customer service wasn’t that great but the fact that it’s kind of like a taco food truck, it makes sense. The tacos here are pretty legit. When you see this place, come try it. It’s worth it.

This wasn’t one of my intentions during my trip to LA but in this town it’s hard to avoid taco trucks it seems. LOL Just as I parked and was headed for ice cream I was lured to this truck by the heavenly aroma. This truck has all the trademarks of a great taco truck. Very limited menu of items, no frills, fast, fresh and cheap. Their flavours are spot on and well balanced. Nicely caramelized meat with fresh herbs, spices and acidity. The ratio of filling to shell is also perfect. Not too messy and wet but at the same time just enough so you don’t feel like you’re chewing on tarp. Amazingly, there’s even seating available and you can help yourself too it. To round out the experience, the guy taking our order was pleasant, patient and helpful. I would’t recommend planning a trip out this place but definitely stop by for a snack/meal if you’re nearby. One of the better tacos I’ve had in LA.

My taco spot. I love coming here. Having recently moved here Hollywood from Ktown and being used to Flaming Taco truck, I needed to find a closer alternative. This was my choice out of 2 spots since El Gavilan is at the corner. I came here once… and have been coming back here ever since. I love the tacos, burritos, quesadillas, mulitas, everything. I always get a burritlo(asada) + 2 tacos(chorizo or al pastor, whatever strikes my mood), all with everything on it, extra sauce. So legit. The burrito was really good… til I read another review from a guy Daniel. I’ve been ordering half asada half chorizo ever since. Best advice I’ve taken for a taco joint. They should, however, add carne asada fries to their menu, or at least carne nachos. Also, lengua. But I def recommend

I feel so blessed that I’m in LA, very hungry at midnight and not wanting to spend too much money. Heaven(aka Unilocal) sent me here since it was a block from my friends house. No line at all when I got here and ordered 4 tacos right away. Chorizo, carnitas, Asada and mixed meat as another Unilocaler suggested on another review. All tacos were great and the meat was awesome. Flavors were there and they were only $ 1.50 each!!! This is definitely NOT the place to bring someone on a first date since it’s literally a stand in the middle of a parking lot, but if you’re looking to get some good and cheap food in LA this should be it.

I cannot give this food truck enough stars! I came into town from Chicago looking for some of the famous«Mexican» places in LA and nothing quite satisfied. Then I accidentally ran into this truck on the way out of a bar and my whole world changed. I ordered the three taco special — my tacos were a tad bit on the small side but grilled to perfection. Each one with its own individual flavor. The birria was on special for the night and it was BOMB! The carne asada and pastor were pretty freaking good too! We got a complimentary soup that was just hot and spicy enough to warm us up in the cold. My friend ordered the quesadillas and got a huge serving of deliciously melted cheeses and sauces. Felt like i was sitting back in a legitimate Mexican BBQ. The chef came out to ask us if everything was okay. Just wonderful service and amazing food!

The King of Grill tacos are ok, after a night of partying and dancing. Not my first choice in taco trucks, but their food will get the job done when needed. I would’ve given them three stars, if the sever hadn’t been very rude. Not everyone in our group ordered food, and a couple of us were standing in front of the truck but we weren’t blocking or keeping others from ordering. The sever came out of the truck and asked if we wanted food. When we answered no, he asked(in a sarcastic tone) if we just liked hanging out in front of food trucks. When I became obviously upset and answered in Spanish that we were with the big group who had just placed a large order, his tone changed and he acted as if he’d been joking. He quickly brought out extra chairs for the rest of us to sit. But I didn’t buy his sudden change of attitude for a second.

I’m a constant regular to this place. Taco tip: order your taco with half Carne Asada half Chorizo.(You’re welcome) and if you are in the mood for something different: order a «Sope». It’s like eating two tacos. Because its Open late it’s my default place for a recovery meal after a night of drinking. Parking is easy access too. Good quality meat and a humble area to sit, you don’t need much more. Also a Great place to people watch on a friday/Sat. Night. I cannot vouch for this place more, it beats any sit in Mexican food restaurant/bar when it comes to Mexican street food authenticity. And to top it off, Why pay $ 3.50 for a taco when you can pay $ 1.50!

This place is awesome! $ 6 for a burrito any meat you want, freshly made and they accept credit cards. Burrito was savory. Minimal charge of 50 cents for cheese and sour cream. A great off the tourist spot for lunch.

I seek out taco spots constantly and this is one I return to weekly. They’re open Monday through Saturday and they stay till 2 am so they’re great late night. $ 1.50 tacos with everything on it. $ 6 burritos loaded and grilled crispy. Great staff and quick service considering it’s always grilled to order. Don’t forget the complimentary radishes, spicy onion slices, grilled whole onions or grilled chilis. When you need a quick cheap taco fix on la brea this is the spot.

This taco truck is always good :) I had 3 tacos: chicken, carnitas, and al pastor with everything on it — green salsa, res salsa(spicy) onions, and sour cream. The tacos were fresh and delicious– my favorite is «al pastor» which is pork so flavorful and tender! Prices are fair, service is good and quick.
