When there are so many tailors in LA to choose from, the search to find a quality tailor can be hit or miss. As a steady customer for the past few years, I’ve never once been disappointed with the quality of tailoring or had to bring back an item for additional alterations because it wasn’t done right the first time. Since I’m pretty petite and do the majority of my shopping online, I’ve gotten a ton of things altered here — pants taken in at the waist; pants and dresses hemmed; straps on dresses taken up; etc. I’ll bring in my clothes to try on and discuss the alterations with the owner, David, beforehand. One tip — you must only talk to David about your alterations. I’ve only shown up once when he wasn’t there and couldn’t leave my dress to be hemmed since it seems that he’s the only one who can discuss the alterations. Whenever I go here, I can expect David to be pleasant, friendly and patient. TLC definitely gets a gold star for its quality tailoring!
And while there is a parking lot (for sure, a plus), during peak times in the day, it may be hard to get a spot. In the same mini shopping center is a martial arts school, El Pollo Loco, Radio Shack, Fatburger, and Subway, among other stores. More or less, peak times are when the martial arts school has classes (parents are picking up or dropping off their kids) and around dinner time.

I have tried a lot of drycleaners in LA, and can say that TLC is the best by FAR. They always handle my laundry and dry cleaning with care and have everything ready on time. Unlike many other dry cleaners, they NEVER lose my clothing or damage my clothing. David is always a pleasure to deal with. I also highly recommend TLC for alterations. I can say I have had over 70 articles of clothing tailored there and everything is always perfect — David makes sure every customer is happy. The location of this business is also great and there is plenty of parking. I suggest everyone try TLC out — they won’t be sorry. This business deserves much more than 5 stars. Thank you TLC!

My old favorite dry cleaner is out of business, so my neighbors recommended TLC.
David, the owner is a super nice and personable guy. It’s like going to see a friend when you go there.
They do very good work. It’s not cheap: $ 7.75 for a men’s sportcoat, $ 4.85 for men’s slacks, $ 3.50 for a tie, and $ 2.50 for men’s laundered shirts. The end result is good, though, so you get what you pay for.
If you want to be sure your stuff is done right, and you want to be treated right, this is a great place.
It’s in a small strip mall and parking is sometimes a challenge, but the parking is free.

TLC is great!!! The owner really cares about his customers and always checks up on how important things in my life are going. I love how quickly I get my clothes back, and they always do a stellar job. It also doesn’t hurt that they are one of the few locations in Mid-​Wilshire with available parking. Keep doing you, TLC.

Just walked in to get my shirt pressed. The guy was on his cell phone and when I asked him if he could press it for me, he said he’s all shut down right now. He never cared to get off his cell phone. Terrible service. TLC my ass.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. I have been bringing my clothese to TLC since I moved to the neighborhood about 15 years ago. In all these years, not one article of clothing has ever been lost, which I think is quite impressive. Prices are reasonable and service is great. The owner, David, makes a point of building a relationship with his customers and is always in a good mood.
Great dry cleaner. So long as things don’t change, I don’t plan to go to another one for at least the next 15 years.

David the owner is GREAT! I have had other cleaners destroy my clothes – NEVER here! He treats your clothes as if they are his and he goes that extra mile if you are missing a button he will put one one – one that matches. I have been going to him for about 15 years and still go there even though I live in Santa Monica now!

I wish I found David and TLC sooner. There are many dry cleaners in the area and I’m glad I happened to walk into TLC after some bad experiences (high prices and poor customer service) at other cleaners. I needed to get my sofa cushions cleaned so I called a few places and either didn’t get a response or just a ‘no’ and then dial tone. I walked in and David was more than willing to help. David is very nice and personable and prices are very reasonable.

The owner, Dave, is amazing, friendly, professional and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with the work. TLC will pick/​up & deliver, and always has the clothes done on time. I’m the worst culprit of needing things same day and it is ready with a smile.
