What a fun experience! I have been to 4 cooking classes so far at this location. And I am looking forward to taking many more! While I have been to various culinary schools, I have never been formally trained and employed as a Chef. Of the many schools and classes I have attended, Sur La Table ranks right at the top. The classroom location is in the back of the Sur La Table retail store at the new Village at Topanga Mall. Parking is so easy! I recommend parking in the structure by the Costco. Park on the North side of the structure and your class is less than 100 yards away. Only down side is parking gets expensive if you plan on taking back to back classes. The class sizes will vary depending on demand. I have been in a packed class of 15, and the next day taken a class with just two of us. The Chef Instructors are awesome. Head Chef Lynn Warnesky runs a great set of classes at this location. I was fortunate enough to have her as the instructor in the class with only two of us… She was amazing. I strongly recommend some of the ‘Date Night’ classes. It’s great to bring your partner with you and have fun cooking a meal while learning in a very relaxed atmosphere. And the best part is, you get to eat what you make! Class schedules change every month, so there is always something of interest on the calendar. Great home Chefs and cooking rookies will love the classes at Sur La Table!
