This place is cool, the tea selection here is incredible… But, almost $ 4 for a tea is a bit high and it took like, 5 minutes to brew… so I just kinda walked around in circles in the store waiting for what was supposed to be a quick tea run. I get what they’re doing in the store, but for me, tea is tea. I could go to Starbucks and get a $ 2 tea in about a minute.

I’m in LOVE with David’s Tea!!! It’s a terrible obsession because I already have way too much tea and I can’t stop buying more from David! I drink about three pots daily and have tried so many of their 150+ flavors. Everything I’ve tried has been so so good so you really can’t go wrong! If you are a tea purist, this may not be for you as most teas are flavored, but it’s oh so much fun! Here are my current faves: Forever Nuts– must try! (Also, you must try this as a tea latte! And I much prefer the way I make it rather than the way they make it in house. Try this: heat up a small pot of vanilla almond milk, whisking every so often. Once almost boiled, turn to low and pour in your tea leaves. Continue to whisk and brew for a few minutes. Add any desired sweeteners and then strain into a mug. You can thank me later. The in house way by the way is to add frothed milk to brewed tea. Good, but skimpy on flavor) Strawberry rhubarb parfait(amazing hot and iced) Cream of earl grey Toasted walnut Banana nut bread Blueberry jam Cardamom French Toast Yogi berry(so good iced!) I really can go on and on. I highly recommend you buy a tea sampler and to try several and see what you like. Here are the ones I love: Sweet indulgence Tea of the month collection David’s top 12 Also every one who works here is super friendly and passionate about the tea they sell. They also have tons of fun tea accessories like pots for one and tea filters. You can also buy an iced tea, hot tea, or tea latte to drink on the spot. Tips: –Ask for a tea menu to take home! It’s a giant list of all their teas plus descriptions and indicates which are best iced and which are best as lattes. –Sign up for a frequent steeper card! It’s their free loyalty system, where you can earn free teas! –Ask for samples! They have brewed ones you can try and little pouches of loose leaf you can take home. Happy tea drinking!

This was my first time coming into David’s Tea and I must say it was very welcoming. There were two girls working and helping other people. They acknowledged us and said they would grab us a sample of their tea. I looked around a little bit and talked to one of the employees(I didn’t get her name) and was pleasantly surprised to find that she knew her stuff about tea. If you have any questions or are looking for your cup of tea then id recommend coming here because if you don’t fine it here then I’m not sure where else you’ll find it. I ended up buying a very small portion of tea just to try. I love it! So I will definitely be back to restock! Thank you David’s Tea!

I’ve been a fan of David’s Tea house for a while and have been wishing for a local store in SoCal because the nearest one was up north so I would usually resort to online ordering. David’s Tea is essentially a tea house, loose leaf. You know, life Teavana. However their take on tea has a little less serious connotation to it. They’re more playful, with hints of fruit, candy etc etc. They do have the serious stuff too though like your traditional Earl Grey, oolongs, dragon tea etc. If you’re around the area definitely stop by and take a gander, even sip of their tea and I swear you won’t regret. I think their associates aren’t as pushy as Teavana associates and they don’t oversell, overpour the tea in the bag = $$$. But David’s Tea is reasonably cheaper than Teavana to begin with. They’re also really nice and personable, just tell them your preference and they can find a tea-match for you. You can also do tea to order if you’re parched and need a refreshing cup of iced tea(white nectarine and lime gelato are my faves) or when it’s chilly outside and you want a cuppa Chai or Green Tea Latte!

I saw the name and HAD to come! I am so glad I did! Their staff/team was amazing and they really are a team! They were so helpful and patient they took the time to share their favorites and help me find some amazing read that I am beyond excited to try!!! I really appreciate their time they told me all about the teas and which ones they loved and why and they have the best kids for smelling and seeing — it is a little try so they are constantly opening the tea and exposing it to germs from people sticking their noses on and breathing all over it – well played David(who ever you are, I’m guessing the mastermind is David since it Davids Tea) I honestly am so beyond excited to get home and start brewing and sipping! They have adorable tea accessories and I just couldn’t help myself! If you are a tea lover or tea-curious you should def stop by!

Something about their colorful wall that really makes you want to buy their teas. Plus, they are super friendly and have good suggestions. I signed up for their frequent steeper program to earn free loose leaf tea/birthday drink. So far, I have tried the following out of their 150+ teas: dragon pearls(green tea)(*) butterfly jasmine silk dragon jasmine love tea#7 crème caramel rooibos the earl’s valentine organic mighty aphrodite dark chocolate delight mint chocolate rooibos honey, i dew Read my lips Coco chai rooibos Green passionfruit(*) If you had to pick one for your first time, go with dragon pearls. It is delicious. Can’t wait to try more teas later :) I am looking forward to trying out buddha’s blend, hangover helper, grilled pineapple, citron oolong, green & fruity, cold 911 Helpful tips: 1 tbsp=perfect spoon 2 oz is approximately 12 tea filters Do buy the tea filters! Definitely get the 100 for $ 12 since you average about $.12 per filter. Buying 4 oz gets you a free silver tin. Otherwise, it’s $ 3 for the color tins I bought the tea and immediately put them in individual tea filters so we don’t need to measure later on — more user friendly. I was able to get 16 tea filters into a tin can and 7 tea filters into the silver bag. I Happy steeping!

The short of it: — tea store brand from Canada — great variety of teas — can get pricey — located in the village — unique flavors, great for tea lovers! — Favs: Buddha’s blend, green and fruity rooibos tea The long of it: My first experience with DAVIDsTEA was on a trip to Canada while I was in Toronto. I thought it was a great shop and hoped that one day it would come to LA. And that day has finally come! This store location is in the Village shopping center. Immediately when you walk in you can feel the nice and fun ambiance. I love their range of teas, yes there may be artificial flavorings in some of them, but its a great alternative if your bored of your generic teas and want something unique and tasty. Some of the teas even have candy pieces, great fun way to just have a nice treat for yourself once in a while. The concept is similar to Teavana but I happen to like DAVIDsTEA better. In my experience it seems just a tad cheaper and the sales associates don’t seem to pushy. You can buy tea here by the ounce and there’s no minimum weight of tea you have to purchase like Teavana. I like having the freedom to purchase as much or as little as I want. Aside from purchasing loose tea, they have lots of sets, or sachet options as well. You can also purchase a cup of hot/iced tea here to go. There’s a lot of tea options to choose from but I went with Buddha’s blend and the green and fruity rooibos tea. Both are great fragrant teas. Looking forward to building my tea collection and getting some dessert type teas here!

Absolutely incredible! I’ve recently become obsessed with DavidsTea, but had only been ordering online. I decided to make the 40 minute drive out to Toping just to visit this shop. I’m so glad I did. The lovely girl associate that helped me was so patient and friendly as I listed off about 10 different teas that I came in to purchase. Can’t wait to go back!

I love this new location at the Village. The people who work there are so nice and helpful. They seem to really enjoy their jobs and want to help you find the best tea. They have a decent amount of tea in their shop and you can also get brewed tea for 3.50 and I think a tea latte for a dollar more. You can pick any of their teas to make. They will let you smell any tea that you want, not sure if they will let you sample the actual tea before you buy it. They have a small collection of tea pots and tea tumblers, etc which all make great gifts or splurges on yourself. I think everything is reasonably priced, maybe more pricy than getting a tea pot at Target but I think you get better quality and more selection. They also have a Frequent Steepers card where you can get free tea, etc. Their location is great because parking is free for two hours and right outside you can sit and enjoy your tea by a fire pit or walk around and window shop.

So I’ve been debating on whether or not I should write a review but I figured the store and other consumers should know. I came in to purchase tea last week. I was greeted by what I thought seemed like a nice salesperson at first but by the end he seemed annoyed because I was making him work a bit(wanted to smell more than a few teas and ended up purchasing over 10 different teas). At the end he asked if my boyfriend I wanted a sample of one of their teas and we said«sure». To our surprise we were charged $ 7 for both tea«samples». I also noticed that he had measured and charged me incorrectly for the tea. I wanted to go back but my boyfriend was in a hurry to pick up his kids. The entire experience wasn’t pleasant and I think others should know.

First time in this mall yesterday, and stumbled in here since I love tea. Brittany greeted us and offered a sample tea. I tired the banana nut, so delicious! We smelled bunch of teas, and i ended up getting cute glass tea pot, and some teas. Dropped 40.00. I like their teas better than Teavana, and prices are way more reasonable! Brittany gave us some coupons for hot cup of tea in Jan. I had a cop of the peanut butter tea and it was pretty good. My friend had the apple crisp, and it was like eating apple pie. Yum! Cute location and Brittany is awesome! Will be back!

Great teas at tea shop prices. Has a good selection and not only loose but bagged too for those who don’t want to bother with those steepers and things that leave tea leaves in your cup. They have a large selection of gifts and home goods also at thsi store. Sales associates were helpful in finding a good tea when my boyfriend was under the weather.

I fell in love with this place the moment I walked in! All the workers here are super friendly and helpful. They’ll pull down the whole shelf just so you could smell the teas. They have a menu that sorts the type of teas too so it makes it a little easier. Right now my favorite tea is the Buddha’s blend. And because I’ve been sick, I’ve been drinking Cold 911. It smells really intense but I like it. I carry my tumblr that I got there almost everyday. David’s tea… you can have my whole paycheck!

I had no tea stash & desperately needed to get more tea other than my usual Lipton black tea from the grocery store. Plus, I needed to find an herbal/no caffeine tea as I was on a no caffeine diet for 2 weeks. Enter DavidsTea. The rooibos tea was heavenly! Customer service was impeccable. The store is a delight. And I love the ambiance. Worth every penny. And they have seasonal teas. Selection is great. I am soooo happy that I found my tea place.

Holy. Crap. I’ve been waiting for this moment for three years and it did not disappoint! I first fell in love with DAVIDsTEA in San Fran so I was super stoked to find that they opened a location much closer! The selection is amazing as always. And their sessional teas are to die for. The staff is also incredibly helpful and super friendly so it was a huge plus! This is going to be my new spot from now on. Hands down. They got straight teas, flavored, and all different types from blacks, greens, reds to tea flavored chocolate. It’s awesome.
