this is right next door to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffle.. so you can check out your lottery tickets here before brunch (to pay for the exorbitant prices at Roscoe’s) or come here afterwards to buy booze to wash away the pain of having dropped seventy bucks on breakfast for two.

DO NOT BUY WINE HERE. I bought a bottle that turned out to be SPOILED and could not get a refund. Probably I was not given a receipt, as I could not find one — but regardless the wine was not common and clearly came from them. It was Rancho Sisquoc 2011 Flood Family Cabernet — purchased this weekend in April 2015. It’s not like that’s a wine you can find across the street at Rite Aid. And the price marking clearly matched the other ones on the shelves. But the clerk could/​would not refund me or call the owner. He said to come back 4+ hours later, when someone would have a key to review the video. But I was leaving for home almost immediately. TRAVELERS BEWARE as this place has crappy wine, poorly kept (I should have noticed the dust on the bottles farther back on the shelf), and makes refunds difficult.

Everyone at Oligarc is super nice and friendly. They carry everything i’ve ever looked for and if they don’t have something, they will make sure to get it to fit their customers’ needs. This place is conveniently located on Sunset and Gower next to Roscoe’s Chicken and waffles and it honestly never has any issues with parking. I have been a customer of thiers since they opened, and will continue to be because of their love for what they do and their appreciation for their customers.
