Nothing like the first $ 4 happy hour glass of wine to remind you what’s important in life, and the third to help you forget what’s not. Spacious and airy this grape stomping Hollywood wino loft offers a great selection of reasonably priced vintages with something for everyone. You can save some cash on the $ 7 varietal or really impress your date and splurge a couple bucks more on $ 9 glass. Dig in for some appetizers too… I’m a fan of the artichoke and tomato bruschetta, although they make you stack the toppings yourself. Presentation is nice, sure, but really, please understand that I have zero aptitude for coercing diced tomatoes to stay in one place on toasted baguette rounds. It’s a delicious catastrophe… tomatoes EVERYWHERE! So, please consider building my bruschetta for me, thanks. I’ll have another glass of Pinot please…

Loved the ambiance & the décor! I had a travelzoo deal($ 29 for 4 glasses of wine + 2 food items) to use & I’m glad I ended up at this location vs. the Pasadena one because this place is super spacious(with two large sectional couches — comfy!) and also empty on a Sunday night. I got 2 glasses of their bubbly Moscato Rose which was super sweet and delicious(good for newbie wine drinkers who strictly stick with the sweet stuff) and bf also tried their dessert port(he liked it, but the alcohol content for that is a bit higher). For food: we tried the tomato & artichoke bruschetta(which I LOVED) and the mushroom/pepperoni pizza(I thought it was meh because the mozzarella was super heavy handed and all i could really taste was cheese… bf liked it though and gobbled up most of it). Portion size was good enough for dinner for 2(I was expecting things to be bite sized). Both of those items are on their happy hr menu. I would definitely consider making a stop here before watching a show at Pantages in the future! Metro friendly! Red line — exit Hollywood/Vine

THANKYOUBODEGA! Well, I have been eyeing Bodega for quite awhile. Occasionally looking at the menu and dreaming one day Id be in the house. Yeah sometimes its slow at work. Yesterday was my birthday and I was hungry and Bodega is where I was. It was early(by wine bat standards) which was perfect for me. I was alone, and sometimes you want to remain alone even while in public. So I got a seat at the bar, and did a few glance-overs of the menu. Is it just me or do you actually just look at the menu a few times before you actually read it? I got the Everything is Better with Bacon Flatbread and a Side Order of Bacon Covered dates. Also, a glass of the house red. The Flatbread. Dear Baby Jesus it was delicious. I dog walked that flatbread(dog walk — ate with a vengeance). It was so good. Chicken, Cheese, Red Pepper… and BACON! The Date — the date was good also, but the size ratio of the date and bacon were off. Which made it more sweet. Maybe some sort of cheese with it would be great. Just my opinion. And as any Birthday girl would do I mentioned it was my birthday and got a free cookie. The bartender was cute and nice… I think his name was Kevin. Can’t wait to come back… Mmmmm Bacon.

Happy hour!!! My friend and i split a bottle of the pinot grigio, the white cheddar and pepperoni platter, and the artichoke and bruschetta plate. We came out of Bodega happy, full, and ready for our show at the Pantages(it’s like a 5 minute walk from the theatre!) White cheddar and pepperoni platter — came with warm toast pieces. Delicious! The white cheddar was TODIEFOR. The pepperoni was good, but a little on the greasy side. artichoke and bruschetta dip plate — the artichoke tapenade was good, but i think I preferred the bruschetta better. Both were good though. The sommelier recommended the pinot grigio after we told her what we wanted, so we happily ordered a bottle($ 8 off during happy hour) and started drinking away. The pinot grigio was a little sweet for my taste, but good nonetheless. For $ 20, i think Bodega’s happy hour is definitely the biggest bang for your buck. Come!

My Review is based on a Tuesday night visit. This is a great bar. After protesting when my friend suggested it, I am very glad we ended up there for drinks after dinner. We sat at the bar and my companion ordered a wine and I ordered a soju drink. I have had soju before and don’t remember liking it, so we asked the bartender a couple of questions about it. The awesome bartender(Travis) was really nice and outgoing. He brought over our drinks and as my companion and I were chatting he brought me a shot of soju, so I could see what it tastes like on it’s own. I thought that was awesome. I sipped it and we discussed the comparison between it and other spirits. Long story short, we stayed there about 2 hours longer than we expected to and drank more drinks because we were having such a great time. We chatted it up with Travis, two regulars and I had a great chat with the doorman when I was having a smoke outside. Whoever was in charge of hiring definitely knew what they were doing.

Love the ambiance; hate the parking situation Love the bold flavors of the grilled cheese with BBQ beef; hate its tiny portion size Love the Travelzoo deal I bought($ 29 for 4 glasses of wine or beer and 2 food items); hate the regular non-HH pricing

After dinner at Tender Greens, my friend and I decided the best way to ruin the health streak was with drinks and dessert next door at Bodega! We both got the moscato d’asti, which was perfectly sweet and refreshing, and split the white chocolate bread pudding — equally delicious. The pudding came with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. YUM! Also, 2 shots of sake on the house, and I got to drink my friend’s since she was driving. Yep, definitely had a good experience here! Parking is free for the first hour and then it’s a $ 5 flat rate after that.

What’s NOT to like about Bodega? They have a great selection of wine(by glass and bottle, whites and reds, @ diff price points), beer(incl. international ones), cozy seating and the best, most entertaining bartenders in Hollywood. They’re easy on the eyes, too. Looking forward to our next bet Travis & Charles!

I came here for a friend’s birthday and the staff were very accommodating with our large group and they had a reserved a section for us. Bodega has a nice modern, dimly-lit décor. Great place to chill and have a few drinks with friends. Drinks: I can’t remember what I drank! There was such a variety and large, great selection of wines, sake, soju cocktails and beer that I had to try every type of drink. ranging in red and white wines, sake, and beer. Everything tasted delicious and went down smoothly even in the beginning. The downside of trying so many types of drinks is that eventually you won’t remember much. Service: 5⁄5 stars Excellent! Bartenders and servers are very friendly and frequent the tables to see if you need anything. The manager was very inviting and made sure that we were being taken care of. Probably one of the best services I received at a bar. Parking: Valet at night. Valet closes at 12, so you have to get your cars before then, but the bar doesn’t close till later. This was pretty inconvenient.

Top 5 reasons to hit up Bodega: 1. Plush, comfy couches. 2. Swanky without being snobby. 3. Laid back, spacious environment. 4. Knowledgeable & friendly bartenders. 5. House. Red. Wine. You’re welcome.

This is one of my new favorite Wine Bars in LA and I’ll tell you why! From the outside Bodega may look a little upscale, but once you walk inside you’ll really feel at ease. The place went all out with décor and really has a nice modern/comtemporary ambience and feel to it. The staff is friendly and happy hour prices are very reasonable. Yes, there’s even happy hour on weekends. The last time I went our bartender totally hooked it up too with extra drinks and sake bombs for our party as well. Bodega is great to meet up with friends, take a date or chat about business. They even have board games that you can borrow and use Apple DJ here so if you have an iPhone you can pick and vote on what songs you’d like to hear next. If you’re hungry for some bites, try the bruschetta and olive tapenade or margherita pizza.

3.5 stars I had a Groupon for Bodega Wine Bar so made a visit last weekend during happy hour. They have happy hour everyday from 5 – 7, which is always a nice treat. We arrived at Bodega around 6pm, which is pretty early for a place like this. There were only a couple people there. Moderate sized lounge with seating at the bar, tables, and couches. The happy hour menu is pretty small. They only have a couple of appetizers that ranged from $ 5-$ 7. We ordered the pepperoni mushroom pizza and fingerling potatoes. Both dishes were pretty good. The happy hour menu also consisted of some beers, wine, and soju cocktails that were a couple dollars cheaper than their regular menu. I couldn’t really get a feel of the true atmosphere of this place because it was so early. Valet parking available.

My husband and I attended a birthday party here over the weekend. I’m usually disappointed in any place chosen for a birthday party due to a couple of factors. Firstly the organization of large groups tends to suck both cost-wise and seating-wise. And secondly, I am kind of picky when it comes to my food and am rarely impressed by the places that others choose. I was expecting the worst and my experience with Bodega was extremely pleasant. The organization was fantastic. Especially given how many people were in attendance at this party. There must have been 25 or 30 people there. The ladies in charge of organizing things had reserved us two long tables and arranged for a selection of passed appetizers. Everyone chipped in $ 20 for food and there was PLENTY of food. For drinks we each opened our own tabs. It was so easy! Also the tables arrangement was fantastic. We could all mix and mingle in the space and didn’t feel confined to one seat so you didn’t end up just chatting with one person the whole evening. The food was fantastic. We had plates of cheese, with various fruits, quince paste, and crackers, hummus and pita, plates with crostini, bruschetta and olive tepenade, grilled cheese on fig challah with apples, and a variety of pizzas. Everything was delicious. My top 3 favorites were the cheese plate, the grilled cheese, and the vegetarian pizza. Downsides: Parking sucks around there. I recommend valet. And as the place got busier, the service was kind of slow on drinks. However our waitress felt so bad about her slow service that she gave us a glass of wine on the house so we forgave her. I’ll be back. Probably for happy hour. And I will be ordering the grilled cheese.

I’ve come here twice since it’s opened. I’ve been looking for a wine bar in our area that’s not too expensive. They have a good daily happy hour for both drinks and food. But, for some reason I’m just not completely sold on the place. Food: I’ve had a few things on the menu. It seems a bit hit or miss with the portion size and the taste. I had a pizza that was surprisingly filling and good. I also had their version of the grilled cheese, but I felt it was a bit bland with the Brie cheese and the bread was a bit burnt, so that flavor overpowered the cheese as well. Prices: The happy hour is good to have drinks about $ 4-$ 7 or appetizers around the same price as well. However, outside the happy hour you’ll be spending at least $ 20 for 2 glasses of wine and that hardly covers the tax and tip as well. I would suggest trying to go during HH in order to get your money’s worth. Overall: I will probably come here out of convenience, but this place will probably not be my first few choices. I think they may need to spruce up the food menu to make the portion and quality of the food match its prices.

Gave it a shot but not for me. The crowd was a bit pretentious which amused my friend and I considering the wine was merely so-so. Yes this is Hollywood so people acting aloof should not be a shocker, but you can smell out who’s faking when they’re fawning over mediocre wines. It was OK I suppose but definitely have been to better wine bars. The bartender was pleasant enough which softened the blow of overly salty olive tapenade. Great location wise, but I’m afraid I’ll be leaving Bodega to those who are more caught up in what premier they’re trying to get into next instead of paying attention to the wine in their glass.

This place is fairly new, since their other location is in Pasadena. I went here last week and I must say, Happy Hour was definitely HAPPY! This is a great place to go to right before or after a movie, or even right before you head out to the clubs on Sunset and Hollywood. I truly love it when I do Happy Hour because my schedule does not allow me to enjoy this wonderful event most places have between 4−7pm! It’s pretty dark when you go inside, but I did enjoy the contrast in seating arrangements. There are nice plush couches on the left and sturdy wooden long tables to the right. The ceiling was pretty trippy, with the overlaying of these circular wooden pieces that were hanging from the ceiling. HAPPYHOURPRICES are AFFORDABLE. They have happy hr on all their liquor, which is a PLUS. I first opted to try their glass of wine since it’s called a WINE bar, but I scrolled down the menu and saw their infused soju cocktails were also on happy hour! I ordered that instead and their drinks are quite strong for me… but I LIKEDIT! My next drink was a traditional sangria but since we were in a Wine Bar, they used a more full bodied wine instead of the cheaper wines all other places use. The food was quite splendid as well. The appetizers were on Happy Hour so a plate of the mushroom and pepperoni pizza and a plate of hummus came out way. Pizza was SURPRISINGLY pretty good, considering most places have average tasting pizza. It came right out of the over, so the goey cheese and the soft crust made this dish tasteful. The hummus was average, nothing spectacular. Our waiter was SUPER nice and SUPER good. She was the only waiter during happy hour and she was manning her station! Oh by the way, if you watch Chelsea Lately, the cute chubby comedian with the high squeaky voice came in with a couple of gfs. SEMI celebrity siting! Woohoo! I will probably visit the other locations and test out what they are known for. THEWINE! I will be back Bodega!

Happy Hour Review! There’s great drinks, great food, & great service, but the only thing the bar is missing is a singles scene. Wine bars tend to be filled with couples(good for dates!) and ladies talking about looking for dates(us!). I’ve never understood why guys don’t check out wine bars more often. After all, some of the better guys I’ve dated actually know more about wine than I do… and I drink a lot of wine. Girls often visit sports bars in hopes of chatting up a guy, but we do watch sports, too. It would be nice to see guys return that favor and check out some of the lady like spots. And fellas, I found one for you — Bodega Wine Bar!

I’d driven by BODEGA’s new Hollywood location several times during the construction phase, eager to walk in, and finally had a chance to visit yesterday evening. I arrived in time for happy hour(from 5pm — 7pm everyday — 50% off); nice going ladies and gents! These are the wines I sampled: *‘Monte Oton’(Garnacha) /Spain — not impressed. Surely the wine buyer could have done better. There are so many excellent Spanish reds from which to choose; especially from the spectacular Ribera del Duero region. Just sayin’. *‘El Portillo’(Malbec) /Argentina — nice, full bodied but not excessively so. I’ll try the Italian ‘Quarceto’(Chianti) and German ‘Urban’(Resiling) during my next visit. The menu featured various appetizers, salads, etc., basic but appropriate pairings for wine. I settled on the Bruschetta and Olive Tepenade and it was excellent. Nice presentation and portion size. The Warm Goat Cheese Crostini and Tuna & Crackers appetizers also sounded good… I’ll try them next time. BODEGA also serves beer — nothing on tap — but these caught my eye: Leffe Blond Ale, Chimay Reserve Blue and Lindeman’s Framboise. Overall, BODEGA did not disappoint this wine enthusiast(although I strongly recommend that they beef up their selection of Spanish reds). Hats off to mixologist Edwin for the hospitality and excellent service(and for the extra slices of toasted baguette to finish off my Bruschetta and Olive Tepenade appetizer). In vino veritas.

Love it! Awesome place to go. Not too crowded early, after 8 or so, the place fills up. Went here the last 2 weeks for Sat drinks. Happy hour(my theme) is everyday from 5 – 7 P and all night on Mondays. Comfy cool couches to sit on as well as bar seating and long tables with wide bar stools. Modern cool Clean bathroom– that’s how I roll. Even the Men’s. I use Men’s when women’s full… The wines are all discounted which is nice. So, you don’t have«certain» HH wines to choose from. You choose from their regular menu and get 3 $ off glass and 7 $ off/carafe. Bottles have a discount as well but I don’t know what it is. The wine I had, McManus petite syrah was dyno-MITE! Ummm. Delicious. They have beer wine sake and soju Some of the apps are on the HH menu as well with prices around ½ off. We had hummus — really good with warm pita and the bruschetta and olive tapenade. We also had the chopped salad and pizza– after happy hour. Food great. Wines great. Location is awesome… minus the parking. Hollywood near Sunset and Vine– Arclight area. Hoppin area, next to Tender Greens– which I also love. Parking: Meters in area are 1 hour until 8P! Then free. So, for Happy hour, you have to go plug the meter. The parking police are alive and well as I got a ticket at a failed meter! 85 $ BTW. Bodega has valet parking but it’s about 10 $ I think. I am cheap so I circled the block a few times to find a spot and also went to a working meter the second time. Palladium across street so there are parking vendors there as well. Most places 10 $. Overall I have no complaints about Bodega. Go try!
