Marty Stylist

Went in today and got my hair colored. Marty gave me suggestions and picked a great color for my skin tone. I’m happy I finally found a salon & stylist I can come back to. He even fixed my dreadful bangs. I was super happy with the results.

I highly enjoy visiting Marty and getting my curly locks regularly layered and trimmed.
He has excellent precision when cutting, is a blowout guru and only uses runway quality products on clientele. Moreover; his witty humor and superb customer mores combine to create a sensational salon experience.
I would highly recommend Marty to anyone who wants to transform their locks from drab to ravishing.

I just recently moved here and was super nervous about finding a new stylist. I have had such horrible salon experiences, and was sad about moving away from a salon I had finally found to love. So, I trusted you guys on Unilocal to show me a new stylist I could trust and fall in love with. You guys were right, Marty is fantastic!
He really knows what he is doing and made all my worry with trying a new stylist fade away. I go bleach blond and Marty was able to match my already existing blond and make my hair look/​feel amazing. He actually asked me questions about my hair and what it does or doesn’t do… and he listened.

What can I say about Marty?! Not only is he a sweetheart, but he is also the best stylist in LA. I searched far and wide before I found Marty and I haven’t gone elsewhere since. I will never forget the condition of my hair when I sat in his chair for the 1^st time… it was ORANGE… like Raggedy Ann orange. Not cute! He was able to fix my hair and I have been committed to him since. Do yourself a favor, and go see this man!!!

Marty is fantastic — not just his technical skills, but his personality, too. Let me put it this way: I’m incredibly impatient and fidgety when it comes to hair, but it is a pleasure to spend time in Marty’s chair. Besides, Marty is so good at what he does that it never takes very long.
My husband and I go to him for cuts — he’s meticulous with men’s hair, too, btw. I also go to him for color, and when I got married, he did my wedding hair as well as the bridal party — the most beautiful and intricate hair I’ve ever had, and it didn’t look fussy or precious. Just gorgeous.
In this town the rates for hair range widely — I find Marty’s rates reasonable and competitive — a great value, considering the level of service. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I was actually referred to Marty from another Stylist. I was going from Blond to Red, and really nervous about it. Marty did such an amazing job, I have absolutely NO regrets about changing my color. It has now been over 9 months and I just keep going back to him. He is a wizard when it comes to color. I showed him a magazine of the type of highlights I wanted. And he made it happen. Time and time again, his coloring skills amaze me, and I walk out feeling fabulous every time. Marty is a blessing.

Marty takes the time to consult… Remember when stylists asked you what you want and knows what your hair will and won’t do, and then does it? Yeah, that’s Marty! My color is perfect and People ask me what’s new… instead of asking me what I was thinking… definitely I recommend him!

marty is nice and easy going. he works quickly and cleanly. cut and color were okay, but nothing that i was amazed by. pretty expensive too.

Marty is a genius. He truly respects his work and the result is always brag-​worthy.
I’ve been going to him for two years now and he’s taken my hair from a total hot mess to a sleak, blond bob to a full head of red and they’ve all been beautiful.

«My husband and I first started getting haircuts from Marty 16 years ago when my husband ran for his first elected office and his campaign manager said he needed a „real“ haircut. I take my hair cut/​color very seriously and I only go to the best!
Marty is absolutely, positively the most incredible hair stylist and colorist — and he loves what he does for a living. (Makes the experience a total pleasure).
I can’t possibly recommend Marty enough! I have been going to Marty for 3.5 years now and I have only been thrilled with my hair.
My haircuts last and so do the color jobs. (He is a color EXPERT!) More times than not, people ask me if I just got my hair done after two months of getting it done! His prices are VERY reasonable for the job he does.
Moving on from hair — Marty is also a great person with a heart of gold. Scheduling with him is easy on his website, or of course the old fashion way on the phone :) and I have never had a problem getting an appointment when I need one.
Give Marty a try — I promise you will NEVER have a bad hair day again!

I love Marty!!! Okay, he makes me feel beautiful every time I walk out of his studio (always cut and highlights). Not only is he talented and funny, but he has serious creds (in his career he has taught and consulted for MAJOR hair companies, organized state-​wide programs from the ground up and managed high revenue salons, worked with celebrities, and the list goes on)! And did I mention that I travel all the way from Orange County to see him? Marty has been my stylist for 10 years now and I don’t even have to tell him what I want, he and I are on the same wave length. I don’t know what I’d do without him!
