I called several liquor stores in the area looking for a special type bottle of bourbon. Everyone was very nice except Limelite. They were very rude & when I asked the price I was told they don’t give prices on the phone & they hung up on me

I’ve, unfortunately, been here a couple times due the proximity of the store and my house. Never again though. My most recent trip to this foul-smelling wood paneled shack was for a quick beer run, containing: a 6-pack of Stella and 12(please note: 12 beers, not 30) of Tecate. This trip resulted in a charge of $ 30 at the register. I asked the clerk«whoa, whats with the premium price?» He broke down the price(because their receipts aren’t itemized) as «umm $ 9.99 for Stella, and $ 18.99 for Tecate». To which I replied, «No sir, this is a 12-pack of Tecate.» At this point, slightly bewildered, he looked down at his 54-degree ‘cooler’ and paused, then said«yes, I know.» Now, honestly, I was ready to exchange some words and argue the price, but for what $ 10? It’s not worth my time. There’s a reason the dude uses a 10-button calculator as a cash register; he can make up the price as he wants. Oh well. Lesson learned. I just smiled and said«enjoy your evening». Hopefully he enjoyed my overpayment because that is the last time I will ever set foot in that place.
