Loved the place and good. The prices were ridiculously low for the quality and amount of food. Will come back and order those sticky, crispy tuna rolls. Yummmmmm Everything we ordered was delicious and well proportioned. The place might look like a college hangout but the food is great and inexpensive.

Love this place! They have fresh fish, many fancy rolls and it’s not expensive at all. I have sushi here at least 3 times every month! In the weekend dinner is always to busy, so I prefer week days. If you go try Wilshire roll: California rolls with lobster on top… Amazing!

I’ve been here about 10 or 12 times in the past couple of years. The sushi is creative and fun and tasty. The price is right. My biggest complaint is that each time I come here, I find the tables to be disgusting. Everything sticks to them and if you pick up your napkin and wipe any table in the restaurant after it’s been cleaned, your napkin will be covered in gunk. Somehow, they need to get these tables clean to get their ratings higher.

Decent sushi. First time I came here food was not good. Decided to try again and this time the food was significantly better and the fish was more fresh. I liked the rainbow roll and the salmon hand roll. If you’re looking for decent sushi and a fun spot, you’d like it here. Atmosphere is fun and lively. It gets very packed. Not a romantic date kind of place as it can get rowdy.

Meh. Wouldn’t come for the fresh fish(we passed on some of the sashimi) but did get some of the rolls with all the bells and whistles, and left pretty full. Kind of freaked out by meh sushi, so probably won’t come back. I’d go into detail on the rolls but a lot of the usual suspects, covered in sriracha mayo(hard to hate that). Wish I had more to report back on!

Second and last time I came here. Ordered a spicy tuna HAND roll, got a spicy tuna CUT roll. Ordered 4 orders of blue fin, got fatty tuna. We told the chef, he said it was blue fin tuna. He then pulled the whole«me not speak English», very annoying. We told the waiter who answer they don’t even have blue fin, still he refused to take the 4 orders of fatty tuna we didn’t order(or eat) off our bill($ 60!). All nigiri we got was warm, especially the ebi. Kinda scary… The rolls are covered in sauces so you can’t tell how bad the fish really is. I had to scrape the sauce off because it was inedible, kinda like eating spoonfuls of mayonnaise. And what is up with their wasabi?! I finally gave up on mixing it with soy sauce and still couldn’t taste it! Beware! This is a Korean please NOT Japanese. You’d be better off going ANYWHERE else.

They are the fast food of sushi around this part of town. I can’t lie, I really like a few of their rolls and I do like to come here often. But, there are multiple things that hold me back from giving them 5 stars. First off, their service. It is absolutely HORRIBLE. You have to beg them to bring you more ginger or extra sauce for your sushi. There has been times where I literally asked for the same thing 5 or 6 times until I finally got it. Plus, they are extremely cheap with the sides that they give and when you ask for more they make you feel so uncomfortable. I hate this about coming here. Secondly, it doesn’t have much of an ambiance or environment. Not to expect much anyway because like I said I call this more of a «high end fast food» vs a restaurant. The rolls I like to get here are the green carpet, the baked salmon(which is my favorite), and the crazy roll. FYI– they give you free miso soup in the beginning but you have to ask for it… OH, and ice cream at the end. They use to just bring it automatically. Another thing I don’t like about this place. They try to save on every little penny and pretty much wont bring anything unless you specifically ask, and even when you do you have to ask multiple times to finally get it.

I came here on a Friday night with my girlfriend and her family for her birthday. We didn’t have to wait to be seated however the place is really crowded and noisy. The food came out super quick! It tasted okay the servings were small. I ordered the you pick two with the beef teriyaki and the california roll. Beef teriyaki: honestly tasted like the beef teriyaki that I could get anywhere else California roll: it tasted alright, I’ve had better The service was good. I think i would come again if I’m ever craving sushi. Also don’t forget to get the complementary miso soup and green tea ice cream!

(Good) AYCE is hard to come by in most parts of town, but you can come on over to Hara Sushi, order the sushi platter for 2(or 3 – 4 regular people, I guess…) and you’re set!

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant because of the environment and the food is very delicious not to mention great prices. But i will say the service can be much better and for heavens sake, they can be less cheap about their spicy mayo and ginger. I cringe every time I ask them to give me more than 2 pieces, because they literally get upset and then claim they absolutely have to charge you. Like dude, I shouldn’t have to pay for extra ginger and mayonnaise… Other than that, it’s really not bad. I do return quite often for heir baked salmon role. Otherwise, there’s other sushi places that just might be better worth your time.

Decent sushi spot! I discovered this place because it’s directly across the street from my office on Wilshire. I decided to try it one day and had a very pleasant experience that has brought me back several times since! They have great specialty rolls including the XOXO roll and Wilshire Roll /both baked with deliciously amazing goodness. Their initiations crab sushi is very fresh, and they have surprisingly delicious and spiced miso soup. Their service is also very good for the most part. The servers have always been attentive, and on top of our meal especially when I am on a time crunch. The chefs are also very nice, so don’t feel scared to sit at the sushi bar! I’ve had some funny conversations over lunch when I treat myself to lunch! Their menu is very descriptive in pictures and everything tastes as good as it looks!

I honestly can’t complain much about the sushi, its definitely a comfortable go to spot when I am on the west side. However, the service is not up to par with the amount of patrons it has. I came here on Saturday night and our table was squeezed between two other tables, so the ambiance was a bit off and I could hear my neighbor’s conversation more than my own. We ordered the yellowtail, crunch roll, and crispy rice(which is fried rice with raw tuna on the top). The table next to us got duped with an ice cold crispy rice not made to the the guys’s request which led him throwing a fit. Completely understandable but the manager and him were having communication issues and we had front row seats to the mess. This place will serve as a casual night out and not somewhere I would go for a more classy girl’s night out.

Popped in for lunch after deciding I didn’t want sushi from Ralph’s. I was feeling classy today. The restaurant was empty around 11:30am and I sat at the sushi bar alone. I was immediately greeted by a waiter and hostess. They were swift and uninvasive. I ordered salmon sashimi which was cut thick and very tasty. I also order a spicy tuna roll which the chef made promptly. Best order were made within a minute of my ordering. The miso soup I ordered was average but I can’t really complain because I wasn’t charged for it :) They also served free edamame which was a nice touch. Overall, this is a really nice place and I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Didn’t change my life. But damn good.

It’s… ok. It doesn’t taste bad, but it’s definitely not high-grade fish. Everything feel likes it’s made assembly line-style, there isn’t a ton of care into making dishes taste fantastic, there’s a lot of use of sauces to cover up the blandish taste of the fish. Get one of the«fancy» rolls(with lots of ingredients/sauces) and you might like it, but get a basic piece of nigiri(fish on a piece of rice), and you’ll say«meh» like I do. The rice is *definitely* not high-grade sushi rice, it tastes like regular white rice. The servings are generous, so I guess that’s a plus. But nothing is mouth-watering. I’ll stop by here if I’m in the neighborhood and want a fast and cheap roll, but I’d never drive over here, there are plenty of better places around. Pay cash and get 5% off your bill!

The Sushi was good, although they screwed up and served the people next to us, our«Crunchy Roll», so I was pretty disappointed from there on. We also ordered two other rolls, one I believe was called Rockin California Roll(?). That was not«Rockin» at all, all the pieces fell flat and fell apart too easily. We also ordered a Chicken Salad and Udon noodles w/Chicken. Both were pretty good. It was a good experience, w/the exception of the one sushi roll that we didn’t really care for and the mishap. Don’t think I’ll be going back. I mean for the area and in saying that, pretty steep! I had about the same(exception tempura instead of salad, & had to pay for edamame somewhere else and that total bill including tip was way cheaper and yes, a reputable sushi restaurant). It was just all right.

I was so very satisfied after my visit to Hara Sushi! It was delicious, the portions were great and it was very well priced. It’s perfect to go with kids, but also perfect to go have a few sakes or beers while enjoying a pretty authentic sushi bar. I actually can’t wait to go back!

Good prices, fresh fish, open late night. What more can you ask for? Always busy but never a wait. Easy parking outside and in the back garage lot. Like their Ginza Roll, Spicy Yellowtail, Salmon Sashimi and the Black & White Albacore. 1st miso soup is free, second is $ 1. Comfy booth seating! Perfect spot when we want to have sushi past 9:30pm.

This is the best sushi place in Los Angeles. One of the places you seriously want to go all the time and constantly crave. The best thing here is there escolar sushi pieces you can’t come here and not try the escolar. Also the tuna crispy rice is amazing. I love the ginza roll, Philadelphia roll, and the corona roll. Don’t forget to ask for the green tea icecream after you are done is free. This should be on your list of places to try in LA.

This place was a hidden jem for a long time. frequented by a variety of different people who all love inexpensive sushi. Yay for free miso soup and green tea ice cream with your meal IF you spend $ 10 per person If your whole party pays in cash, you receive an 8% discount! The service has always been so-so considering the crowd and all their demands, but especially since the expansion, it seems to have become more impersonal. Generally pretty loud around dinner time and great place to sake bomb… Pretty calm during the day if you’re looking for a nice place for lunch Salmon Tempura Roll and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice are a MUST

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but on the inside it’s much bigger than I expected, with a very large staff. Staff is fairly quick which is good. They bring out miso soup right when you sit down, and it is the strangest miso I’ve ever had because it was literally soup and nothing else– no tofu or seaweed. Still fairly good. Ordered a lot: baked salmon roll(I didn’t like because the baked salmon was weird, and there was cream cheese in the roll itself. Tasted like a weird combo to me), albacore sushi(yum), choo choo roll(yum), ginza roll(yum), and some other stuff I can’t remember. I do not recommend getting edamame as it was tasteless and looked old. It’s also very loud inside, so be prepared for that! Tables are very close together. But overall good food.
