I normally don’t give a one star rating to small businesses because I understand that it can be difficult(especially since I have worked with small businesses), but this place just has really poor practices that left a terrible(literally) taste in my mouth. I was misleadingly charged $ 14 for a sandwich that should have cost $ 7. They used regular pbj sandwich bread that you can buy for $ 1.50 at a grocery store. The turkey was dry, the salami was not good, and the macaroni salad taste like miracle whip. I just asked for a salami and turkey sandwich, and they took it upon themselves to say that it was«double meat» and charged me nearly 4 $ more without notifying me. $ 14 for a sad shredded lettuce sandwich. If you come here, make sure to ask for the price before even putting in your order. Really disappointed as I’ve been wanting to come here since I live next door.

Charged me $ 8 for a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant that was tiny and flat! The cashier originally told me $ 5 but the cook demanded she charge me $ 8. They mildly argued about it in Spanish as I stood there wondering why the heck the cook wanted to charge me $ 3 more than what the cashier had told me. The cook didn’t realize I understand Spanish as well and clearly heard him telling her to charge the higher price. I paid, walked out, and will never return. All the while a guy who appeared to be the owner stood on the sidelines staring into his cell phone. I’m not a fan of pricing games or charging people based on your mood.

Great assortment of imported/rare beverages. I used to come here all the time to buy jolt cola and moxie. I would give this place five stars but… I’m taking off a star for the prices though, this place is very expensive, I mean ridiculously expensive! It feels like your buying food/drinks from Disneyland

My favorite deli on the westside. Always fresh and made exactly to order no matter what your special request is. The owners are great as is the staff!

The sandwich was over priced, should’ve went to 7−11… The ingredients weren’t fresh and they were lacking in the meat department. Not a happy pappy.

Just finishing up a workout and only had my debit card on me. Tried to buy breakfast but was unable to because of a $ 10 card minimum. Heading to 7 – 11, they’ll take my money lol

Came to pick up a quick breakfast before work. They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads and snacks like muffins and cookies. Prices are a bit inflated but items are fresh and portions are generous. They also have good lunch specials. They have a small lot in front for parking or you can find street parking nearby.

I dont get the bad reviews. They have the best tuna sandwiches in L.A. Also this is the ONLY place I have ever seen anywhere that sells pomegranate seeds by the pound. Forget about the seeds they may sell at the grocery store. They suck, and POM doesn’t sell seeds anymore. The owner and staff are super friendly and their prices are very normal for a store of this type. If you ever got anything below average I am sure they would compensate you in cash or food. It is my favorite deli/market all around. Period.

I came here on a Wed morning to pick up a sandwich. my experience wasn’t very good. The customer service is unfriendly. The guy who made my sandwich came off as if I was inconveniencing him by ordering a turkey sandwich. I asked if they had hard salami, $ 3 extra. My sandwich, with a side of pasta salad, was $ 10. The sandwich was dry and boring. I will not return or recommend. Be friendly to your customers and maybe they’ll give you a second chance.

This place bangs out some good sandwiches. They have a la carte dishes in a deli counter as well which are pretty good, such as lasagna.

The moment you walk in it smells very rancid and moldy. Items are highly overpriced. I’ve noticed a lot of expired items on their shelves. They have no interest in providing any pleasant customer service. I would avoid this place.

Horrible, horrible service. The young lady was VERY rude. She also did not have very good hygiene. She had bad, oozing acne which is a BIG turnoff when ordering food! And this place is very overpriced and smells weird.

Don’t eat here. I received rotten food and poor service. See the photo I added of the egg sandwich received from here. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Absolutely 100% five stars. This place is a little bit of English heaven in West LA. Not only is their selection of English candies, frozen foods, biscuits, etc amazing — they also have the most fabulous deli. Their pre-made salads look like what R+D brings out, only there’s more to it and I’m pretty sure some are actually pretty healthy! The albacore tuna, egg salad, and summer salad are my three go-to’s. ***ask for a little cup of oil and vinegar to mix with your summer salad — yum!*** They also have some pretty decent hummus and other great pasta options. Fresh pastry selection — don’t even get me started. The staff, so helpful and always happy. Easy, free parking lot in front of the building. Indoor/outdoor seating to have your snack should you choose to dine in.

Sainsbury’s Frozen Sticky Toffee Pudding + Your Oven = Happy Times But more than that, Sainsbury’s is the little corner store in the area to order a sandwich or salad from the deli counter and then get lost in the imported treats they stock up on. From the deli counter, the summer salad, french chicken salad, tuna, and meatballs are all super. The cookies and bars are all good too. Plus a big selection of bottled beverages and snacks. Really this is a great place to pick up a quick mid day lunch or stock up for a picnic. And get that sticky toffee pudding for later — it’s super rich and something to share after a cozy dinner at home.

This is definitely a little gem in the big city! They have a deli and various ethnic and non-ethnic selection of groceries. Their candy aisle has all the hard stuff you can’t find elsewhere. Don’t bother receiving one-on-one assistance here. Everything is done independently and you can bring your grocery items and check out near the deli. I purchased a salad with tuna from the deli. It was freshly made and looked amazing. The guy even gives you a choices of house made dressings and added the tabasco for me while mixing the salad up. The only hot sauce they have here is Tabasco. I love putting loads of Sriracha on my salad, but in place of it, the Tabasco worked perfectly! My salad cost upwards of $ 11 bucks but it was totally worth it. The salad receives a 5⁄5 stars because it’s exactly what I wanted and turned out better than my expectations for a small city deli.
