Should I begin at the 30 minute wait in the scorching heat or the food that’s more bland than a drywall? My lunch break at work is one hour long. and half of that was spent staring at the side of the truck. A wait of HALFANHOUR at a truck is unacceptable; a food truck’s appeal is the quick grab ‘n go, not a slow stop ‘n stare. My buddy behind me was in like for 20 minutes, and when he was gonna order, they told him they’re not taking any more orders… they’re «backed up». WHAAAAT? Oh, and the food. You know when stuff like this happens and you hope the food will at least validate it? Yep– it didn’t happen this time. The rice had absolutely no flavor and the gyro meat was cold and below par. It seems like a pair of flashing boobs is the only thing that might save«Gyro Gone Wild.»

I wasn’t craving a gyro, but when I saw the truck the other night, suddenly, the craving went into overdrive. Super-nice people. Love the sauces. Mos def getting the gyro burrito next time! They seem to be new on the block, whichever block they happen to be parked at. Looking forward to seeing what else they can do with a gyro. There’s a bazillion food trucks these days all competing for your money, but give these hard-working folks a shot.

Found this place on accident while looking around for a quick bite to eat on a way to a friends house in west LA. Ordered the traditional lamb gyro, and I didn’t think it was bad, I just didn’t notice anything spectacular or out of the ordinary. Sure, they make their own homemade«wild sauce» with a hint of spice to it which is supposed to seperate their food from other gyro shops, but at the end of the day, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I was just telling my friend that I was craving gyros when this truck just suddenly appeared out of nowhere! It was destiny! They had just opened up earlier this month! The person running the truck was really nice and took my order even though she was still setting up. I ordered the Traditional Lamb Gyro. It was good; the veggies were all fresh and the gyro slices were meaty and juicy. I also really liked that their homemade sauce had a slight spicy kick to it.(Although, I wish they would have told me this earlier, since I’m currently suffering from a sore throat who is not a fan of spicy right now…) Overall, it was not the greatest gyro ever, but it did satisfy my craving and leave my belly full. For now, 3 stars for you Gyro Gone Wild! But I will be back try your gyro burrito in the future.
