I was Frayed Apron’s first customer and I was very very pleased with the quality of service and the quality of the granola. It’s healthy, all-natural and delicious! It’s great at any time of the day(breakfast, midday snack, late night snack, whatever!) and is especially good with some yogurt. I’ve only tried the apricot & pistachio granola, but I look forward to trying the new almond & cranberry granola, which I’m sure will be just as great(if not better)! Local Los Angeles customers get $ 1.00 off their purchase, so that’s great too! A definite plus is being able to support this small upstart business. I look forward to seeing it grow!

You risk the chance of TOTALLY becoming ADDICTED to this granola if you read this review so read on at your own risk! :o) I am SOOOO glad that I have found Frayed Apron granola by a series of serendipitous events. Frayed Apron is a small business started and owned by a local Hawaii(Maui) woman, living in CA named Larissa Marks. I stumbled upon her personal blog a year ago after scouring google for easy, healthy«whole» food recipes. Her blog featured many of her own versions of HEALTHY, nutritious, homemade gourmet recipes. One of her favorite things to make was homemade granola. Her friends and family like it so much, that a few months ago it inspired her to start a business of her own. To my understanding, this is how Frayed Apron granola was born and I’m SOOOO glad she did it! So on to the granola! I am SOOOOOADDICTED to this granola. You can definitely tell that it’s «homemade» and tastes worlds apart from store bought granola. She uses only all natural, whole ingredients and no white sugar or preservatives. It has a wonderful«toasted» flavor and the just the right blend of sweet and savory. I’ve tried both, but my personal favorite is the almond blend. Nothing like lightly toasted whole and slivered almonds that go crunch in my mouth. I’ve been eating it every morning for breakfast with just a little bit of soy milk and it’s soooooo good! I look forward to my breakfast each and every day. The best thing about it is that not only is it homemade(baked) but it’s nutritious, packed with fiber, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. I feed it to my daughter with yogurt and she LOVES it! Frayed Apron currently has 2 flavors of granola, Apricot/Pistachio, and Almond/Cranberry. It comes in two sizes, 12 oz for $ 6.99 and 16 oz for $ 8.99. If you live in Hawaii, you can only get it by ordering from the Frayed Apron site and there will be a $ 2.99 shipping charge for a 16 oz order. I think if you live in CA, you get free shipping and $ 1 off. I am not a personal friend of Larissa, nor have I ever met her, so I am not here to promote her business, but simply because I LOOOOOOOOOVE her granola. And I’m not a «granola» lover to begin with. So what are you doing still reading this… go and order some for yourself! You can thank me later: o)
