Really great place for breakfast! Quiet and comfy booth and great service! Manager was very visible pouring coffee, asking if things were ok, etc. On this rainy day it beat standing outside in line next door.
Pancakes delicious!
And the complimentary warm mini pumpkin muffins are to die for!!!
Will go back for happy hour/​dinner sometime.

Food’s not the greatest. The staff we interacted with were very friendly though. If you come here, I’d just stick with the beer and get food elsewhere.

Meh … I was here with my husband and another couple on 12÷31÷15 We waited by the door for about 15 min since it said ‘wait to be seated’ No one came by to asks as if we needed help. My husband finally went and got all of us drinks from the bar and another group of people that where seating by the bar told us we can have their table as they were leaving. My husband asked if we could eat there and the bartender said yes, that he would send the waiter over. That never happened!
My friend got up and asked one of the waiter to please clean a table for us to seat down. So finally after 35 minutes we had a table.
Then our waiter lacked all customer service and instead of saying are you ready to order … he said what ya’ll want?! WOW! We ordered our food and it was okay, not great. I shared the avocado BLT which lacked a lot of avocado, it had tons of lettuce and the bacon was way overdone.
If we wanted to order more drinks we had to flag out waiter down so we can have some service! And same went with the check but then he stood around our table when we were signing the credit cards …
Oh well, not ever coming back to this place. I would not recommend it to anyone!
And do not order the house Chardonnay is is disgusting (for my palette)
Two star because of the history the place has AND that is it.

I work in one of the many business buildings near the restaurant and called to place an order for pick up (as I do at other similar restaurants in the area). I was told they don’t take orders over the phone, but would do their best to get me out fast. WTF? You are in a business district with busy people who don’t have time to wait for the order. Checking this off my list.

Woah. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a little snack. The brunch portions are HUGE. Actually, huge isn’t even a strong enough word. They’re enormous! Very generous indeed :)
The food was ok (I got a veggie omelette). Nothing too special but good nonetheless.

I don’t think I’ll EVER come back! Our experience here was the worse we have ever had. I don’t rate based on customer service because I rate for the food which is what Unilocal is for. But here is my rant:
To start when the server brought our drinks out he placed the tray with the drinks at the edge of the table for US to grab our drinks… WTF was that?!
–Second he never came to our table to ask for refills, we had to flag him down.
–Third, when he took our order down he asked everybody «what do you want?» With the baddest attitude. When he came to the table to give us our food all he would say was «who got a number 3?» Rather than say «I have a scrambled eggs with hash and bacon?» So we were all confused on who got what number. Had to ask multiple times to bring condiments like ketchup, A1, hot sauce, which I believe as a waiter it’s only common sense to bring out all these items whether they will be used or not. He forgot one of our pancake orders and brought it out after we mentioned it and we had all finished eating, and although he did say «sorry about that» it didn’t make up for the ice cold pancakes.
–Now about my food, I got the New York strip and eggs. Let’s say a McDonald’s breakfast deluxe would have been tastier. The strip was bland and so were the potatoes:(I ate it because it wasn’t gonna be free and I’m not a wasteful person.
Overall our experience here was very uncomfortable and this poor kid should look for another job. I know it’s hard to deal with customers because when you work in the restaurant business you deal with needy and picky people. I believe we are more than laid back and courteous as customers. And we also believe we are very tolerable with bad costumer service but this exceeded all of our experiences. To end the food wasn’t good and the service was worse.

Came to this place for breakfast. Waited a half an hour at front door and staff completely ignored us. When we got their attention they said ten minutes, meanwhile a table was wide open. Another party then came in and immediately got seated? When I called out the staff they gave some lame excuse that they needed to fill table and we only had three in our party. When I asked to speak to manager magically there was none? I just left. Worst service ever and I never even got seated! i will never go back! One star is too high of a rating for this dive. o

than when he finally arrives, he says …
«don’t you ever talk to me like that again «
and than when i asked to speak to the manager he said «i am the manager!»

I came here because there was a HUGE line for the Pantry this morning. I had heard that the breakfast here was the same as the Pantry. So I gave it a try. Unfortunately the breakfast was not the same. It lacked the flavor of the Pantry. The service was very slow. They only had two waiters… one at the bar area and one on the floor. The manager, a very kind man, helped out the service staff as much as he could. I hope they get some of the cooks from the Pantry side to bring their breakfast up to par. Other than the food and the lack of staff, this place is a very nice place with comfortable seats. The décor is nice.

Was missing my Pantry breakfast so left OC and came West for breakfast late start and long line led me to this place right next door to Pantry. SSOOO you would assume same food n service and you would be wrong SSSOOOO!!! WWRONG. We wander next door and seat ourselves at counter and encounter RAUL. Run if u get this server this guy is so rude I am amazed he has this job. Ordering my food and in the middle of my order be turns his back on me and starts entering my order I ask if he heard what I had said, no response. He takes off we get our food and he obviously did not here my order LOL. I Ask for my toast and his reply is don’t pressures me. WOOWW!!The place was ¹⁄₃ capacity hate to c him when their busy.LOL.Well not the same as Pantry food half the size it is next door and his service was atrocious. Next time I wait in line at Pantry.

The food was great. I had the New York and potatoea & my wife had Corned Beef. Christopher brought us some of the yummy pumkin muffins (and sent us with a few to go) Definetly coming back.

I was there last weekend during CicLaVia with a few friends, wait was long. getting a table seemed so complicated for the young, hostess, but after 20 min we finally sat down. Chef came out and waited for us to order Breakfast even though was pass 1pm which is when they stop serving breakfast. Food was great, same as the Original Pantry. Portions were generous and food delicious. Service was also great Chris did awesome dealing with our table. I would definitely come back

First time here for happy hour and it was great. Food was delicious. I can’t believe I’ve worked across the street for 8 years and never been here. I’ve been missing out.

Amazing wings and fresh tortilla chips!!! Great service! Good happy hour… Ice cold beer! I will definitely be coming back before all my dodger games!

Thank you, Mayor Riordan… for this bar! This is one of the few places in LA that consistently serves up good bar food. I’ve been to a lot of places that are real big let downs but Riordan’s always delivers. Friendly staff and great food. I actually don’t drink so I don’t know about all of that but again the food…
The food is a fine legacy.

Ok… not exactly the place to show up and do online homework. Ha ha. Really great atmosphere expected of downtown. The breakfast served from the pantry menu but simplified and made just behind the bar allowing the sizzling aromas to fill the air. If there’s an inkling for a beer or spirit they accommodate both and the coffe is perfect for that diner taste. I did the #3 added some toast was warned about the amount of food I was ordering and my server was right! OMG-​SMH! Great food have the cakes and try the Portuguese sausage! Will be back with friends, a brew, and LA Dodger ball.

Great service, a problem arose and it was resolved quickly.
The bacon & date flat bread was amazing. Worth a taste!
The steak salad was perfect. If there was one thing I had a problem with, it was the rowdiness of the Friday night crowd.

I only come here for the pantry breakfast when the line at the original pantry is unbearably long. Plus your beverage options are expanded when you done here ;). It’s the same pantry food but it’s served on weekends from 8 – 1. I’ve been coming to the pantry for years so I don’t need the whole restaurant experience to feel like it authentic, and then I don’t feel rushed if i eat at pub. My parents told me they have dined at pub a couple times before during dinner and it was good.

Have you ever tasted month old hamburger meat? This place is seriously disgusting. I can’t believe the former mayor allows his name to be sullied by this place. Just go to umami burger or some other spot. The food here is just terrible.
P. S. It is worth noting that they were nice enough to not charge me for my horrible burger.

Slow, but friendly service. The menu is interesting, but poorly executed.
The only thing I enjoy about this place, is that it’s close to staples, so I can drunkingly wander in after a game, and standing in line to help me sober up. Dusty, dirty sports memorabilia every where. It’s like a Lakers’ junk yard that serves bad food.
Perhaps its because I’m always 4+ beers in when I waddle in…
