Family Dance Jam

Family Dance Jam gets everyone involved! The creative props help children find their unique way to interact with the space around them. The Facilitator creates a beautiful collaborative environment for all participants… everyone feels like a dancer when they leave!

Experienced at Farmer’s Markets, Museums, Schools and Malls, Family Dance Jam is a party atmosphere where dancer facilitators lead lively movement games engaging families in simple, surprising and full body ways. While the DJ spins hip global grooves families are guided to do things like dance next to someone in blue or pink, freeze connecting elbows, build a body bridge to go under, invent a move, create a dance and more. Props from recycled and repurposed materials are used to make inventive obstacle courses, flowing streamers, stepping-​stones or provide wonderful open-​ended building supplies to move with. Family Dance Jam provides an opportunity for families to engage with each other in a unique physical way making deeper connections with each other and their bodies. It is a wonderfully creative way to spend time together as a family.
