Convent little bar outside of Nordstroms. On Sunday mid-afternoon my two friends and I stopped for a quick pick me up of iced coffee and strawberry lemonade. They have a huge selection of syrups and an extensive drink menu that is impressive for such a small shop. My friend said her strawberry lemonade was a bit too much strawberry even though she asked for minimal. The coffee was good and on the expensive side. $ 4.45 for a large black iced coffee… In the end it is worth the stop if you’re desperate for caffeine.

I visited this bar a couple of days ago for the first time and i must say it was really good. Im not much of an adventurer so i ordered a plain drip coffee. It was way to strong for my liking. The young lady quickly asked if i would like to have something else instead so i ordered the spice chai latte. I gave it two thumbs up, hot creamy, spicy. They dont wear name tags here so i asked the young lady for her name. Jasmine was wonderful she had such a warm spirit and smile. I will go back.

I love this coffee bar but the service is non-existant! I have been here serval times where the girls working are biting each others heads off and we as customers end up getting the brunt of their anger. The people here never seem to be happy. NORDSTOMSWHATHAPPENDTOTHESERVICEHERE!

Use this place a lot. Quality is good but service while helpful is sometimes slow.

Ok, so I was here on Saturday(3⁄23) and I think I might have experienced the scariest coffee ordering experience of my life. Please note that this is the Westside Pavillion location, not the Detroit location. I walked up and the woman behind the counter had a furrowed brow and a look on her face like she was ready to upper-cut(or shank) the next customer. I was scared to walk up! Add to that that she never actually said hello, smiled or even looked up at me. She kept her eyes fixed on the register and looked as if she wanted to punch it and said«what do you want to order». I was too scared to actually ask for what I really wanted and fearfully ordered a cup of drip coffee so that it was a fast and painless exchange. She took my money and handed me the coffee and said«Next!». I won’t be coming back to this location without a security guard.

Nordstrom Espresso Bar is located inside Westside Pavilion right by the elevators and it is a convenient place to refuel after a long shopping trip. There is plenty of seating around the shop for resting tired legs. Tired and famished, I had their pomegranate lemonade and a dolce-de-lecce bar to replenish after a few hours of shopping. The service was speedy and they readily give out free water for thirsty shoppers. The pomegranate lemonade was a bit too sweet and tangy for my taste but was descent. The dolce-de-lecce bar was super rich, creamy, and sweet… with the consistency of butter. It was a nice snack but it was just too rich for me to finish. The drinks and pastries were both mediocre but it’s nice having a place like this to rest after a shopping trip.

Good coffee, great iced mocha drinks, however the lines can be pretty bad! Also they try to rush customers in and out, its not a relaxing atmosphere like Starbucks. However, the coffee is great, so I will give it 3.5 stars, and for the benefit of the doubt I will give them 4 stars to round up! You will get great coffee, but expect quick in and out service!

Nordstrom is quite a brand. I have tons of praises for their department stores, but for their Espresso Bar??? If you serve really good stuff(expensive, too!), you expect to get good service. If good service is just not possible, at least not a horrible one! So I ordered an ice-blended drink with a couple of their really good pecan bars and this girl who took my order just left the bar and sat down on one of the empty tables to do what looked like her«homework» while I was left standing there, totally appalled. This other girl who also worked there had to ask me what I was waiting for, duh? I have a few friends who work at Westside Pavilion where this Espresso Bar is at and they all say the same thing — the worst service you could possibly experience. I recommend you try just so you can maybe suggest to their manager that they are better off hiring ex-con with silver-lined smile.
