El Hamecla Mariscos Truck

OMG! Amazing seafood! Apparently my nanny has been taking the kids here for years. Tons of shrimp in the cocktail. The mixed seafood was an amazing tasty mixture of EVERYTHING! The avocados were perfectly ripened. Kids happy… parents happy. Perfection!

Saw the food truck parked in front of Burger Bros. Building supplies. We stumbled on this truck impulsively today and my husband and I were very glad that we did. Wondering, though, why this truck has only one review on Unilocal.Probably those who frequent this truck aren’t Unilocaling so much.
We got one Mixed Tostadas and shared it. For seven dollars, they give you a LOT. The clear deli container box that the ceviche came in looked kinda small, but it was (literally!) packed with very fresh and delish seafood. Yum yum.
Definitely will come back for more of this delicious seafood Tostadas. Maybe I’ll try other non-​seafood stuff on the menu as well.

This food truck is located in front Penmar Park. A buddy of mine that has lived in Santa Monica all his life says it is his favorite spot for mariscos (seafood) in the WESTSIDE. So, I had to go and try it out. I only tried the Shrimp cocktail which was delicious. They also serve some good chicharron tacos. Some Mexican places will serve the chicharron in a sauce, but this place serves them dry. Yet they were crunchy and juicy. Everything tasted fresh. They have numerous refreshments which include aguas frescas. Always a plus for a Mexican eatery. This food truck gets my two thumbs up.
