I love pupusas and had the bean and cheese pupusa! Good size and good amount of fillings although it was a bit oily. I really liked the cabbage… it has a spiciness to it! Outside looks like a house; it be a nicer if the interior was more fixed up! I would come back for the pupusas!

Ok so this is a little hole in the wall type place. Food is delicious had the platanos fritos and a pupusa revuelta. For the price my hubby and I ate for less than $ 15 and got full. Now don’t let the décor… or shouod I say lack of… fool you. If you can get passed that then you may have just found another go to spot for a no frill good eat place. Will be coming again soon!

Doris’ pupusas are the best I’ve had in LA so far. I’m a big fan. Also, don’t know if Doris is the one with the long beautiful braid down her back, but she makes everything from scratch and it’s sooooo good. Her curtido(cabbage accompaniment) and salsa for the pupusas is also THEBEST. Love this place. It’s super cheap and delicious. I never spend more than $ 5 here and always leave stuffed and satisfied. Would highly recommend it.

Excellent Pupusas and friendly service. The salsa and cabbage were great too. This is an authentic little family restaurant for Pupusa lovers. It has it’s charms, but you have to be a little adventurous too. It’s Echo Park! The decorative plates were a nice touch too.

No toilet paper in the men’s bathroom and they’re nearly out of soap. I hope the cook’s not a guy!

I really really want to like this bakery. I saw the grand opening sign and made a U-turn to stop here. The worker was friendly and helpful. So we already picked 2 breads when I saw a tiny baby fly inside the bakery cabinet on the right side. 3 seconds later… I saw a GIANT fly. So I pointed at those flies and told the worker. She looked embarassed and said something in Spanish to the other worker inside. I didn’t know what they talked about but then she opened the cabinet wide and smiled. By that time I wanted to throw up. I felt really bad if I walked away with nothing. I paid those 2 breads and left without looking back. The breads ended up in my trash can. I am sorry for writing this review but please please make sure your bakery is clean. It was still new and it wasn’t crowded. That’s no excuse to have pet flies. I amost didn’t write a review but I really want the owner to know the problem. 1 star! Doris Bakery is not yummylicious!
