A nice grease pit on the Westside. Be warned, the combination of the stress caused by awful traffic and elevated cholesterol from the food could kill you. It’s a smaller place on a very busy corner, and parking can be cramped. The burger is the centerpiece here. Just the right size, tasty and Tomy offers a good selection of toppings. Side orders veer too much towards cheap or greasy. Not to the point where I would call the fries or onion rings bad — I just would not call them good. I will probably have to re-visit the Apple Pan before I can decide whether or not it’s worth a return trip. Until then, I I’ll just say if you’re in the area and craving a burger, Big Tomy’s isn’t a bad spot at all. tl;dr — Getting here is tough, but the burgers are good. The sides are just average.

They don’t make em like this anymore, kids. Great old fashioned burgers fries and breakfast food as well. 5 stars just being one of the few late night options in this lame city. But food is definitely good. I hope they never renovate this place.

Hamburger — fantastic. Cheeseburger — fantastic. Orange Bang — awesome Chili Cheese Fries w/Pastrami(which people seem to rave about here) — meh. Not worth the price tag.

I really like this place. I usually go for the Gyros, which are tastier than you might expect from this sort of «jack of all trades» place. Their fries are also very good, usually crispier than most, and they give you a whole lot of them. Make sure you get whatever red salt they have on the counter to put on your fries, it’s excellent. Good prices, and it’s close. I haven’t tried their numerous other offerings, but I’d like to. Update: Chili Cheese Burger is extremely flavorful, and much more substantial than I expected. Also it holds together well without falling apart, which isn’t always a sure thing with chili-related sandwiches.

Used to like this place until they messed up my order today overcharged me because they can’t hear and wouldn’t fix the mistake. If you want the real«Tommys» go the the original not this knockoff

WOAH. Really. WOAH. Chili Cheese Fries for the win. After the suggestion to go here, I can truly say, best idea ever. Truthfully, I was very very suspicious at first. Looking online in advance, I questioned many many things. I can safely say now, that it was great. Great service, and food so great, it was great after a night in the fridge! Now that’s incredible.

Deeeeelicious! Hits the spot after band rehearsal or a night of heavy drinks. Open 24 hours. AMAZINGCHILICHEESEFRIES. Need I say more? Oh wait. A worker just started mopping under our table with heavy lemon scented amonia cleaner. It’s mingling with my cheesbie! No bueno! But whatevs. Bless him. Five stars, still.

The minute I stepped in the place smelled of good food. So I ordered a double burger and fries, and I must say it was like the best burger I’ve had in ages. I recommend going here for $ 7.43 for a double burger with small fries, which I must say they give you a lot of fries even its small, is a good deal. Only downside is that THEYONLYTAKECASH. ONLYCASH. Had to go to 7-Eleven to get some money. So next time you go here bring CASH. Only real reason I gave it four stars was because of that; overall its amazing.

I drive by here twice a day, every day and have never stopped. It doesn’t exactly scream healthy with all the photos of ‘naughty’ food taped to the windows. I do a monthly breakfast for my people in the office and wanted to find something new. I saw they were voted one of the best breakfast burritos in LA, so I felt compelled to investigate prior to placing a big order for 100 people. I called in an order for a veggie, pastrami, and bacon, sausage and ham burritos. Not only were they all incredible, they were massive. Averaging $ 6-$ 7 this is an incredible value. I just kept cutting off pieces and giving to whoever came into the office kitchen. Everyone had rave reviews. They accidentally forgot to put salsa in the bag, but I don’t think anyone noticed. They were perfect as is. I like to think I’ve actually saved myself some calories today because after eating 3 small pieces of each, I am so full I may not eat for the rest of the day. Ample parking, they take credit cards and the counter service was very helpful and friendly.

First visit was a solid 4! Second visit a 1 making this like a high 2 point sumthin LOL So another night in WestLa with the Westside vegetarian lovely. The evening before we had some bites at Il fornaio for a continued Birthday celebration. Kinda disappointed that he picked a chain spot in Beverly hills no less –_-. I won’t even write a review because we had two appetizers and wine, not review worthy in my book and neither was Nics since we had more appetizers there and two martini’s and never had a chance to hitthe Vodbox but the ditzy hostess«forgot,» about us. I’ll give Nic’s another shot, then I’ll write them a proper review after a second review… Anywho, I woke up around 5am starving and I had to be back at my gfs house to tend to her dogs LOL. I came in and wanted a breakfast burrito something fierce! I ordered a spinach, egg, bacon and sausage burrito. Service was good this first visit. I took a seat in this oldschool looking place and waited for my food. My order was up and I looked in the bag and didn’t see salsa, so I asked for some, he only gave me two little cups of it. One it’s a given to pack salsa already in the bag and second two small cups with a HUGE burrito o_O. Anywho, I was on my merry way back to EastLos. I got in my friends place, opened the bag and cut this sucker in half. This burrito was packed with meat. They did not skimp. The hashbrowns were delicious. This burrito was damn good. Probably one of the best greasy spoon breakfast burritos I’ve ever had mmmmmm. I knew after this meal, I would see myself coming back here without a doubt. Second visit kinda made me change my mind LOL. I came through around 11ish pm or so and I wanted some other«latin» breakie eats and maybe a breakfast burrito for the following day LOL. So I’m waiting in line and getting anxious on what I will be eating in an hour, or so I thought! I tell homie, can I order some chilaquilles he cut me off so quick and so no breakfast til 4am. Say what muthafuck??? I didn’t ask for French toast and pancakes. I asked for a savory breakfast. Items that you make with non breakfast items. You put eggs on the burgers, I can get enchiladas(same sauce as chilas,) tortilla chips take nothing to put on the plate and rice and beans come with all Mexican meals on the non breakie menu anyway. So are you fuckin killin me. Just dumb. So I ordered a two taco combo(carne asada.) I waited for my ordered pissed off, because if I really wanted Mexican Mexican, I would have kept driving back to EastLos o_O. Got my food and I was on my way. Got home and I knew already this was going to be a fucked up meal. The«asada» looked like overcooked flavorless steak bits. Who are you guys foolin man! I took one piece of meat and spit it out. So mad. I took the beans and rice and made it with other items I had in my fridge. I know how to repurpose food like a mofo. Seriously the worst food I’ve encountered my whole 32 years of life! I rather have eaten baby food ! Seriously I’m still mad about that shit and I wish I just went to Apple pan instead and gotten a solid burger! Shit even Norms down the street would have given me breakie 24/7, never again never again!

Open 24⁄7. YAY! It’s an american diner basically. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. What I didn’t like is that they stop serving breakfast after a certain hour. It’s not too pricey. The hamburgers and french fries are good. They only get cash, but they have an ATM inside. They have their own parking lot. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The service is a bit slow, but the cashier was friendly.

Another local spot of mine again I can walk here. Toms is great for breakfast, the breakfast burritos are a great size for the price. There are a few different floors to chose from chicken, pastrami and asada(you can have it with no meat either if you prefer) I like the chicken myself though it could use a tad more flavor in the chicken it’s still really good. The other items on their menu are just as good, the super breakfast can’t be beat and the burgers are tasty as well. I had a neighbor that loved their chicken salad if you’re looking to eat something a bit healthy just don’t drown in in ranch! Overall the place is great. Located at a busy intersection but if you are inside it won’t bother you and if you are outside as I am now you just take it in and say«I am in no hurry» feels pretty good.

My fourth grade teacher taught me that there was a real Tomy’s burger and a fake one. I never found out before passing onto 5th grade and to this day, still don’t know. Either way, the chili cheese burger here is pretty tasty. It’s not pretentious, served up with truffle flies at some hipster burger place. It’s served on a yellow wrapping paper in a red plastic bin. Nothing fancy but not sorry. Chili is good and drips out, the way a chili burger should. Different crowd of people come here so you know it’s good. Worth a visit if you like basic burgers at basic prices.

What can I say about Big Tomy’s? Juan is our MAN. He knows that 2:30am on a Friday night to expect three ratch girls bursting in, each with their specialized order… here’s the shit you gotta try: Chicken Quesadilla They put veggies and all that good avocado ish in there. It tastes like a Mexican paradise. Melty cheese. Generous chicken. Refreshing lettuce and tomato. Make sure to get extra salsa, not because your mouth isn’t already lubricated from the smell of ultra goodness, but because it is well worth it. Dat spice doe. Zucchini Fries My homie LT likes to refer to these fondly as «Zuke Fries» because they are deep fried goodness of something that I normally spiralize and turn into pasta. No, these are long hefty strands of battered zucchini that you dip the ish out of into ranch dressing. Warning: they’re fresh, and hot. Blow on ‘em before you guide them into your mouth hole. Easy does it. Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries My friends always moan with their health-nut disgust as I place my order for this, but they’re the ones digging in their plastic forks in the minute we get home. We’re talking a pile of fries, a pile of chili, and a pile of pastrami topped with a pile of cheese. It is beautiful in a messy way. Super filling. The perfect drunchie. Nom. Big Tomy’s makes my heart soar.

I’m surprised this place is only 3.5 stars… The food here was sooo guuuud. I ordered the carne asada fries which were great. They give a good amount of sour cream and guac. And the fries are crispy and hot. None of that soggy stuff! I also got the bacon avocado burger which was solid. It was a damn good burger. Each bite was so perfect… Thinking of it now is making my mouth water. I did feel guilty afterwards but each bite was so worth it!

Stopped by at Big Tomy’s after leaving Best Buy and thought that the shack looked appealing and old for a burger. They have a deep menu of burger and Mexican food so it is nice to select from a lot of things. I just got a standard chili burger and fries because I heard that they do have good chili. It was okay. A good hardy cheep mean that probably had too many calories. Not too much to ride home about tho. It was good. Would eat there again, but would not seek it out.
