After accidentally stumbling upon the Bap Pul truck during a Friday night food truck gathering, I couldn’t believe how much I’d be craving it after that first bite! Ordered three things to share so we could try as much as we could; one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Bap Style Fries: sour cream, guac, cheese, sweet sauce, salsa, and bulgogi slathered all over a pile of steak fries. A-MA-ZING. The perfect food to make you fat just because you can’t stop eating it! BapRito: Pretty much Bap Style Fries wrapped in a burrito, fries and all. The rice and noodles add a nice touch to this delicious burrito. Bulgogi is tender and there is a perfect evening of all ingredients, not one overpowering the other. Full Flavor Vermicelli: The least favorite of the night, but still good. A little too spicy for my taste. Since the vermicelli is separated from everything, it comes off plain even when you mix it all together. Then again, the previous two menu items may just have been significantly more awesome for this dish to stand out. Staff is friendly and helpful, food is delicious, and there is a lot of selection(a little too much maybe?). All in all, it’s a great food truck that I’m sure to visit again. Curious to try out the other menu items. Once I can find the time to visit/track down Bap Pul once more, maybe you’ll hear from me again. ;)

This is a truck I was anxious to try. And am I glad I did! What drew me in was how many votes these guys got when the Food Channel conducted a poll of «The most popular trucks in America». These guys were at or near the top of that list the entire time. Every review here is either 4 or 5 stars too. After tasting a Baprito,(Their menu changed from what’s on line), I understand the hoopla. This thing was awesome. Juicy but not too juicy, spicy but not too spicy, chewy but not too chewy. The key here is balance. These folks are expert at balancing flavor, texture, heat and variety. I will definately eat from this truck any chance I get now. I can’t wait to try some of their other things. So to the owners of Bap Pul I say, Please come to El Segundo for lunch more often. You guys Rock!

ORDERTHEBAPRITO! You’ll thank me later! I was totally bummed that they did not have any kimbamp that day but I decided to try their BapRito instead. Bulgogi + sour cream + guacomole + salsa + cheese + french fries all wrapped up in rice paper = BapRito Can you say best decision ever made? After taking my first bite, I literally had to take a moment and just stared at it because I could not believe how good it was. The bulgogi was tender and sweet and went perfectly with the french fries and sauces. Each bite was just an explosion of flavor that kept getting better and better. It’s been 2 days and I’m still thinking about how amazingly delicious it was. Oh my god! Bap Pul, you are my number 1 food truck right now. I would definitely go out of my way to have your BapRito! 5 stars.

I EFFINGLOVEASIANFOOD!!! Asian Food stands high on 3 pillars for me. 1. Good Price 2. Good Amount 3. Good to my tastebuds And Bap Pul has good Asian Food written all over it fusing Korean and Vietnamese culinary styles into familiar comfort food creations. I was hoping to get their signature rolls, but when I got there, they just had: rice bowls vermicelli bowls rice paper burritos french fry bowls I got the Bulgogi Bap Bowl which was filled with fresh cilantro, onion, carrots and marinated heaps of thinly sliced tender beef on top of just the right amount of white rice… with drizzles of their special sauce… and I love sauce! This bowl hits the spot and the portion is beyond generous, earning a well deserved $ 8. This one bowl could satisfy two skinny girls… boom-chicka-bow-wow.

This is by far the most delicious Korean Food I’ve tried. I ordered the Vermicelli with spicy pork. It was so good that I wanted to lick the paper plate clean… but there are too many people around me. LOL I’ve tried many korean food and many other trucks and this is definitely my favorite. I can’t wait to come back. Trust me!

After working next to a food truck street for the past 2 months, i was starting to lose faith in finding awesome eat for less than 10 bux. My lunch breaks started to become a workout session, succumbing to long distance marches down to Yack in the Box for cheaper bites. I dont have a problem with paying 8 – 10 bux for food as long as they are tasty and doesn’t require me to stop by a liquor store for a bag of chips after. The Baby Blue(truck) Bap Pul to the rescuee… good ass new menu consisting of Bap Bowl, Baprito, Kimbap, and Vermicelli bowl. I’m sensing that this is heading towards Korean Vietnamese fusion. I got me a Bulgogi Vermicelli which was very flavorful and walked away a satisfied fat/full pigeon.

Not your run of the mill Hannam/gaju market fare here, no siree. Their kimbaps have a distinct gourmet flair with a dash of «dude this is awesome grub’ thrown in. I caught them at the animé expo a few weeks ago, and everything, from the great meats/awesome fried chicken filling, to their creative AND tasty sauces are a refreshingly different approach to truck food amogst a sea of bland hamburgers, and korean tacos. I love love LOVE their tuna kimbabs, and their fried chicken(yes you heard me FRIEDCHICKEN) kimbabs are definate crave worthy.

It was great food, it was a great price, it was run by a friendly guym it was a clean truck and unlike a lot of trucks I have been to lately, they actually had the proper no smoking signs So, like almost every other Unilocaler who has ewviewed Bap Pul, I am going to give them the full * * * * * rating. well, maybe«give» is the wrong word. These guys earned it. Bap Pul is Korean for rice sticky and the menu is very limited. They offer 4 kinds of sushi-looking rolls, but as the truck says:.“This is not sushi“ The take beef, chicken, tuna salad or spam, and roll it in rice and wrap it in seaweed. They offer a combo, with three different rolls and a can of soda for $ 10.00. I chose the Beef Kyoto, Creamy Tuna and Spicy Soy Lime fried Chicken. I passed on the Spam. They also offer 6 varieties of sauce, and while I was only entitled to three of the 6 choices, the truck owner was nice enough to give me all 6. They all rocked! I was suffering from sauce/memory overload as I sat in my car with 36 piece rolls and 6 little portion cups. The mouth worked as I had 18 permutations to work with and tried them all, but it was simply too much to take notes If I had to choose I would say the Creamy Wasabi was the best, but the others were close too, I would rank this as one of the best sushi trucks in LA, but remember«It’s not sushi». Gourmet Food Truck #178 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in «So Cal»

Great food, I would definitely go again for the(#9), which I think is the short ribs burrito. I ordered the $ 12 combo and walked away very stuffed. It comes with a burrito, roll & a drink. In my case I got the #9 and the #3(BBQ roll?). The burrito was the standout. Love the wrapping. Even though there were french fries in the burrito, it didn’t come off as too heavy.

I’ve never had Kimbap before, but this was really a treat! I tried the Spicy Soy Lime chicken roll and the Beef Katsu roll(6 pieces per roll). $ 6 for two tasty and filling rolls, the perfect amount for lunch and a great deal in the food truck world today! The chicken roll was my favorite of the two, and the dipping sauces were delicious. The hot bap and the barbecue sauce were really good, but the signature sauce was my fav. Will definitely be tracking this new truck and hoping to cross paths with it in the near future! Next time I might have to try the bulgogi wrap or the pork vermicelli!

Small and straight forward menu. Got the Medium Combo which meant 3 rolls and a drink for an extra dollar more. I liked the price – really affordable, for en extra dollar, tax on a drink. My favorite is the chicken. The meat is moist and crispy all at the same time, even with the sticky rice and seaweed. Tried all of their sauces. The BBQ sauce is easily forgettable but I like their signature Bap Pul sauce. CASHONLY

Caution: This is Not Sushi So kim bap, kinda like Korean savory rolls, is the total opposite of pretentious eating. Chopsticks are not necessary, nor dipping it in soy sauce. It’s clean(not messy), simple food I snacked on while growing up. (I literally pick it up with my fingers and shove it in my mouth on the go) Bap Pul Truck–«Bap Pul» meaning a «sticky grain of rice» — has some delicious alternatives to the traditional style that really work. TBH, I was skeptical of this concept. THEROLLS: — Tuna(like tuna salad, not tuna sashimi) with red onion, perilla leaf, & daikon radish — SPAM(my favorite of the bunch!) — with perilla leaf, kimchi, egg & daikon. Spam never fails, my friends. — Beef Katsu — sliced up beef katsu in a roll, yes please! They serve it with their signature«Sexy BBQ sauce.» I didn’t know BBQ sauce could be sexy, but if you really think about it, you know it is… ;) — Spicy Soy Lime Fried Chicken — with vinegar marinated radish + cilantro. (This one wasn’t really my favorite but my coworkers loved it) And just like the same as traditional kimbap, it’s CHEAP! Two rolls = $ 6 They have a whole list of dipping sauces you can pick from to complement your roll. Don’t love fusion, but I kinda love this!

The truck clearly states that this is not sushi. I have to disagree with them. Sushi really just references the rice. The menu items here have the rice going for it and while it doesn’t use raw fish. or raw anything for that matter in the creation of their sliced up rolls, this does make you feel like you just ate something new. Something different. Something awesome and strangely familiar. I walked up to this truck without knowing what to expect. I have to admit that the person standing outside of the truck was not very much help in describing what I was about to eat or try. Hell, she couldn’t really do much other than recommend me one of the rolls to choose from. And while her inability to do anything but point to a menu item picture may have lost me, the food found me and found a special place in my heart. The prices here are dirt cheap. After going for 2 rolls for $ 6, I was thinking that it would have only taken 1 to do the job in keeping me stuffed. But this was really good. I mean, really really good. They have a couple of different options for dipping sauces. I had the sexy bbq sauce and the Bap Pul house sauce. Both of which were really good with the rolls I got of spicy chicken(though it wasn’t spicy) and the beef. So you have really cheap good bang for your buck if you’re hungry and the fact that its delicious going for it. In fact, I like the concept of this truck more and more as I think about it. It’s not really too snobby and while you’re eating with the option of chopsticks on the go, you can just eat this stuff as finger food sort of stuff.

They were at Animé Expo, and thank god!!! For the terrible overpriced convention food or crappy convenient store diet we were on, they sell delicious food for a great price! 2 kimbap(6 rolls per) + drink for $ 7? Amazing. I wish I saw them more often and knew about them before.

It’s always impressive and interesting to see something so simple like kimbab make its way into the fusion market. I love how you guys created this new concept and found a way to reach out to other people in terms of flavor and design. Thumbs up for the creativity and the my god. the sauce is just amazing! Hope you guys come to Koreatown more often. Can’t wait to get some more Bap pul! :) BTW, your truck is tooo adorable. Love the design!

Words cannot not even express how good the food is. The sauces and rolls compliment each other so well. My favorite has to be the Soy Lime Fried Chicken Roll and the Beef Katsu Roll. The rolls are made fresh, and the crispy katsu and the chicken provide great contrasting texture to the rice and the laver wrap. THESAUCES… OHGODTHESAUCESARESOOOOOAMAZING! I wish I could buy a bottle of each of the sauces. This places is like my White Castle! :]

Simply amazing. There was never really a food truck that catered to the Korean style of eating. The best thing on the menu is probably their spicy soy lime fried chicken. This place is like crack, once you’ve tried it, you’ll be back for more. :) Talking about it is making me want some right now :(

New Korean fusion roll truck! Simply amazing! I actually got a chance to try all of the rolls because I went with 3 of my friends and WOW! Such an unique and characteristic taste to each rolls!!! Although I loved everything I had, 3 of my favorite rolls were #2, #4, and #9! #2: spicy soy lime fried chicken, vinegar pickled radish, and fresh cilantro. Best flavored fried chicken I’ve had in my life! The combination of fresh pickled radish and cilantro with the flavored fried chicken makes me feel like I’m eating thai food and kyochon chicken in one bite! #4: bacon, egg, black bean, cheddar cheese, and jack cheese with fresh salsa. If you are a breakfast burrito lover like me, you will love this breakfast roll. #9: short ribs, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and potato fries wrapped in rice paper. Close your eyes and let this roll melt in your mouth because you only get two long pieces but its so worth it! Other sides I would recommend are: side salad(amazing dressing), pickled radish and jalapeño, and the special Hot Bap sauce!
