Soon as I get to the front counter the front desk woman quickly sat down and starts staring hard at the floor, completely ignoring my existence even though I was a foot away from her. Like she literally had her head facing down, staring intently at the ground, her manicure, then the floor some more. I was made to stand there awkwardly feeling like a jackass for a long ass minute, wondering if I unlocked some secret invisibility power and I’m now part of the X-Men, until finally her coworker got off the phone and he acknowledged me. Although he was pleasant, the counter girl and other employees we crossed paths with need a serious lesson in basic manners. Cons con’t. The bed was hard and not really comfortable at all. No coffee maker in the room. Thin walls so we could hear conversations clearly from next door and in the hallway. The way the curtains were set up it was almost impossible to warm up the room properly AND have the curtains closed, because the curtains would block the heater. I was cold most of my time there. «Breakfast» was laughable. See pictures another reviewer posted. We had to hit up the bodega down the block. Hotel parking is an extra $ 25 per day. Pros If you don’t drive, it’s a quick walk to a subway station. The room was clean enough and the shower pressure was good. That’s it. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price I paid.

My girlfriend and I stayed Jan 13−17th for my birthday and it wasn’t bad. Pros: location!(Public transit just around the corner. Value!(Under $ 300 for 4 nights) Cleanliness!(a few issues but good) Staff: very friendly and helpful. Cons: We did have a few cosmetic things with the room, housekeeping didn’t do a good job of cleaning after previous tenants. Found old tissues and clumps of hair and dirt behind the bed and dressers. Burn mark in carpet from an iron. The breakfast was not good and you have to eat in the breakfast room. Can’t take the food to your room. The AC/heat in the room was whacky. I had it set to warm the room and kept having heating issues. Overall though, I would probably stay again. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives for me.

Clean, cute room with a great view! We loved that they had a complimentary hot breakfast with lots of options and the staff was very friendly. They also came with clean towels right away when needed. The area a little shady, however it’s so close to the metro which is great! Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would stay again.

This is very terrible hotel I never experience before, they did not changed the coverlet and towel before I live in, many place has dust in room. I complained to the room manager Jon and front receptionist, no one solve and back to clean up. For your health, do not enter the hotel!!!

Economy brand new looking hotel close to subway station. The area is under construction and feel dangerous at night. Manhattan view room with extra $ 12 fee. The breakfast is free but B.S. Same cheap products every single day, no fruits at all. BIG cleaning issues, the sheets got never changed, bed never made properly and mold growing all over the bath tub!

How did someone write a one star review??? I agree the front desk person was emotionless. But who cares. If you want someone to brown nose you… then go ahead and pay 800 per night in a fancy Manhattan hotel! The hotel I usually stay at was full. So gave this a shot. It wasn’t that far away from my usual hotel. My first impression… it was very near the ghetto. I was super concerned about this. But… let this not be a concern to you. There were people offering us directions when we first got to the area. Everyone walking around this area were so friendly. I got hello’s from more people then I would have in the richest neighbourhood! The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the F train and about a 10 minute walk to the other trains. Maybe less than 10. So your in Manhattan quickly. The rooms were clean and modern. And comes with free breakfast. And costs about 150 less per night than my usual hotel on the other side of the Queensboro bridge, and 300 less than staying in Manhattan. I say give it a shot! PS: free wifi

Easily one of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Hotel desk staff were expressionless, long check in time. Beds were never made properly the next day. Bathroom towels were not changed — unbelievable. Trash were not thrown. A broom was outside my doorway– what was it doing there? Really not recommended at all. Housekeeping service really made the mood and stay uncomfortable.
