My fiancée & I stayed here last night. Our room, the lobby, & the hallways were very clean. The walls are kinda thin, but cancel out most of the noise. The staff was very rude. Parking is a nightmare. I’m giving it a 3 because the price isn’t bad & the room was very clean.

I would admit that at first seeing the mediocre hotel lobby, the rundown hallways that smell a tad bit full of cigar smoke, and an elevator that’s too tiny to accommodate such a hotel. People would be turned off and give this place a bad review… However, I decided to try this hotel on my trip to New York City from Los Angeles California. I found that in my 5 day stay my bed was comfortable and allowed me to sleep way more wonderfully than I do at home. The room that I stayed in was just enough for two people and room service always cleaned up very well while I was out on the town. Also there was a continental breakfast that just wasn’t a muffin or some bagels instead they offered eggs, sausages, and cereal to name just a few. Yes this specific Ramada hotel is in a weary neighborhood however they do their best to give visitors the best hotel experience they can… so thank you!

This is a substandard hotel on a crumbling block of Long Island City that visitors will find frightening. But it’s cheap, adequately clean and adjacent to public transport. It’s not actually threatening… just a sparsely populated industrial area in transition. The staff are helpful enough and the doors stay open all night. They don’t charge holds on your credit card and you get a fine view of the Con Edison power plant. There are definitely better hotels within five blocks of the Ramada, but if price is an issue, this is far better than staying in a vermin-infested AirBnB somewhere in Chinatown.

Customer service is an alien concept for these employees. Parking is not provided in an area full of tow happy business owners and overly eager meter maids. The TV was busted. Every electrical outlet in the room didn’t have power. I was still charged the full price of $ 150/night. LaGuardia had shut down leaving thousands of travelers scrambling to find a room for the night. My flight landed at 2am so I was left with this shit hole as the only option for lodging.

The room and private bathroom are attractive. The bed is unbelievably comfortable!!! I wish I could trade mine for theirs. They even supply you with 5 pillows, for head comfort, instead of just two. There’s a desk with an office chair if you need to do some work. The room even includes cute coffee/tea mugs along with a machine to make it. Even 2 cute glasses for other beverages. The water pressure in the bathroom is perfect and it doesn’t take minutes for the water to become hot. The breakfast is delicious and filled me all the way up. I had a Belgian waffle, Light & Fit Banana/Strawberry yogurt, a garlic bagel w/cream cheese, a sausage, a glazed donut w/pink frosting + sprinkles, and 2 cups of Orange juice. I was even allowed to take the food back to my room. There’s also a fitness center here on the sub-cellar level but I forgot to bring along my workout attire. There was no noisy sounds or guests. My only complaint is the $ 50 deposit you have to pay when paying with cash. I wasn’t aware of this when I made the reservation via but the guy at the desk was nice enough to let me slide. He just made it clear to not smoke under ANY circumstances. Besides, you get your ‚$ 50 back when you check out. This is a smoke free hotel!!! This is my fave spot, only $ 84 for the night.

Bed bugs… and lots of them!!! Plus non-existing customer service! I woke up at 2:30am with a bed bug bite and subsequently found bedbugs on the mattress and on the wall, one of the bedbugs is the size of pea ! We showed it to the management, they moved us to another room 3 floors above and agreed to deal with it in the morning. When the morning came, they changed shifts, and the manager on duty wouldn’t even acknowledge the problem in writing, the only thing he could do is to give us the email address of his boss. And with that he brushed us away!
