New Bangla Car and Limo Service

BE WARNED! CON ARTISTS!
Do not use this car service. Take a legitimate, marked cab instead. My bf and I got in a Bangla car after being solicited by the driver who assured us of a ‘good price’. The short of it is that this guy tried to charge us $ 120 to go 8 blocks from Penn Station to Times Square!!! When we told him that he was nuts and we weren’t tourists he could con, he reduced the fare to «a good price» of $ 60! We ended up paying a highway robbery price of $ 30.

Worst service ever, paid 55 $ for full service, I had to do the cleaning myself. I spoke to the manager, he was very unprofessional. Easy money is all they want.

I felt uneasy getting in the car as he was very aggressive from the beginning. He picked us up from the taxi line at Grand Central station, even though we were walking toward a yellow cab. He proceeded to take our luggage into his car, so I told him where we were going. After asking us where we were from (I think to make sure that we are not NYC natives), he proceeded to talk loudly on the phone the whole time & ignore all of our questions about the cost. Then, when at the destination, tried to charge $ 60 (probably only a $ 15 taxi ride) a few blocks to 54^th & Broadway.
Lesson learned: do not take black limo-​cars around NYC… always take a yellow cab with meters to avoid the headache of getting unfairly charged.

Shameful! Was picked up in Times Square while hailing for a cab. I saw the car’s NYC tlc sticker, and asked for the fare to Laguardia. He replied $ 75, which I agreed to. There was no meter in the car, which I will never agree to again after this debacle.
The driver drove very aggressively, but not outside the norm from what I’ve experienced in NYC. However, Halfway through the ride, he said that the fare was $ 160. We argued about this all the way to the airport, at which time he berated me for various taxes and fees. After paying the initial fare, I told him that I was going to report this incident to the NYC tlc, when he popped the trunk and told me to get out. Incredibly rude and berating

My experience is similar to Tee’s. Picked up at Penn Station. When we arrived at the Courtyard Upper East Side, driver tried to get $ 160. Bellman wouldn’t let him get away with it. My own 311 complaint has been filed.

It normally costs me $ 10 to ride from 74^th Street Roosevelt to my home. One cold evening, rather than wait for the bus, I hopped in a borough cab managed by Bangla Car service. I feel that my driver took a longer route because by the end of my trip the ride nearly cost me $ 20. I probably should have stopped the driver when the meter exceeded $ 12 or so, but regardless, I will not be riding with this car service again.

Here is the complaint that I sent in to the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission:
«Very rude. Very aggressive. Charged me $ 30 for ride from NYC Penn Station to Park Central Hotel. I told him I needed to also go to Lennox Hill Hospital but waiting was OPTIONAL. I told him that 4 times. He waited anyway. Then he tried to charge me $ 140 to go from Park Central Hotel to Lennox Hill Hospital. I paid him $ 100. He refused to let me out of the car until I paid. He cussed at another driver along the way. He was aggressive and menancing in his responses to me. I came up from Maryland to visit a relative in the hospital on emergency — I told him that — he didn’t care. This occurred at 3:10pm-he saw me as I left Penn Station on 7^th by Pennslyvania Hotel (Madison Square Garden exit)»
