My friend and myself were going to an event nearby and decided to try this wine bar before hand. When I arrived around 530 the parking situation was already terrible. Expect to circle the area for a while looking for parking. Finally inside I noticed the décor to be trendy rustic and perfect for a date or a gathering with friends. There is even a small lounge, sitting area in the back facing the water that would be ideal for a date. Wine and small bites how can you ever go wrong?! We ordered glasses of their house red, mac n cheese and buffalo sliders. The wine was very good, as should be expected from a wine bar. The mac n cheese was so delicious with a thin layer of panko bread crumbs on top. I believe my friend even contemplated a second order lol. Lastly the buffalo sliders, I was concerned that they would be too spicy for me but I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was tender and lightly coated in buffalo sauce that was just perfect. Like I said, wine and small bites how can you go wrong lol!!!

I love love, did I mention how much I love wine bars? I never been to a wine bar that disappoints and this particular one met my expectations. My friend was running late so I sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of their house wine while I looked at the menu. I was very impressed by how comfortable the bar seats were. There were two bartenders behind the bar and both were super friendly and nice. Once my friend arrive and joined me at the bar we ordered of course more wine :) and the sliders and mac & cheese. We had an event to go to so we didn’t want to overeat. I really enjoyed the both dishes, The chicken buffalo sliders were super tender and not spicy which was great. The mac and cheese was superb and I was a little sad I had to share it since I could have eaten it all by myself. I did noticed they have a very cute cozy lounge in the back perfect for a date or a girls night out.

I’ve lived in Long Island City for several months now and only recently had the chance to stop in and check out the BLVD wine bar. Good food, great wine(obviously), excellent coffee and amazing dessert. Bar also offers a good selection of beer. Will definitely be back and would recommend anyone hanging in LIC to check this place out

I went here with friends and also my boyfriend. Everybody loved it. Atmosphere — ONPOINT. Décor — ONPOINT. I have been here when the weather was chilly and sat at the back where the couches were. Also was here during the summer when they had the outdoor seating. Cheese plates were great, wine was impeccable. Definitely a spot I can get cozy and intimate with people. I will for sure come back here numerous times in the future — no doubt!

Amazing atmosphere! Being our first bar in the city, we absolutely loved it. Must try the chorizo appetizer, very tasteful just as the staff and wine! Will definitely be coming again before we go back to Florida.

A friend of mine referred me to this place for a date night. It was a thursday night so it was fairly quiet which made the atmosphere more peaceful. The bar had gorgeous views of manhattan as well. We shared the sprouts which were good but not the best i’ve had and the toasted fig spread which was perfectly sweet and salty. Our wine was tasty as well and the bartenders were very personable and just the right amount of social. I would definetly come back in warmer months!

What do you get when you blend one of the neighborhood’s most selective specialty wine stores with one of the area’s leading culinary masterminds? You get the wine bar we’ve all been secretly dreaming of… Luckily, those familiar with Center Boulevard in Long Island City have been blessed with precisely that – a wine bar brought to you by the teams behind Blue Streak Wines & Spirits and the The Burger Garage known as BLVD – a quaint, casual, yet sophisticated locale for sipping a glass of wine or noshing on a delicious small plate. While the wine program is headed by the impressively versed Rob Bralow, the kitchen creations are being executed by guitarist, Russ Cowen. A rock star and a glass of wine always makes for a fun evening. With thirty-four wines by the glass and fifty-five by the bottle, Bralow is perpetually editing a loving selection of the favorites he tries for Blue Streak just down the block. «We focus on small producers with a quality reputation,» says Bralow. The bar also serves ciders, draft beer, and a handful of champagne cocktails. Open since last December, the lounge features a 20-seat bar made of reclaimed wine barrels with an oxidized zinc counter that intentionally collects character markings so that everyone can leave their own mark on the bar. Mondays, all bottles are half-price. Tuesdays are 2 for 1. Wednesdays, you can create a $ 20 wine flight with a selection of any 3 wines. Beyond the requisite selection of charcuterie and artisanal cheeses, the menu is focused on gourmet plates and snacks, all intended for sharing. A stellar cubano ranks up there as one of the most delectable sandwiches ever created, with toasted bread points surrounding house-roasted pork, thinly-slice prosciutto, melted Idiazabal cheese, and house made pickles. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. Whether you are mother wielding a stroller on a Thursday at 3 p.m., a student returning from an evening lecture, or a suit seeking to loosen your tie after work, BLVD offers a little something for everyone.

Such a great neighborhood spot. They have a varied selection for all tastes. Family friendly for those, like us, with wee ones. Delicious bites, as well. Can’t miss with Blvd Wine Bar!

I’m not sure why I’ve waited this long to write a review, probably because I’d rather be at BLVD than typing a review up on Unilocal, but alas… here we go! BLVD carries a constantly rotating selection of fine wines. The list is highly curated by an experienced sommelier and by the owners. The décor is modern but comfy and has a nice back room area with a view overlooking Manhattan that can be rented out. The staff is very friendly and very likable. Every wine you have here will be interesting and thoughtful. I’d like to emphasize the«interesting» part of that last sentence. For example, one review mentions the Les Fleurs Sauvignon Blanc, which is quite cloudy and very acidic. When I tried it it was one of the most interesting and unique Sauvignon Blancs I’ve ever had; I can’t say that about many other establishments. The best part is the staff will always let you try a sample of something before you order a full glass. If that zippy Sauvignon Blanc isn’t for you, don’t be afraid to try something else! BLVD also has a very nice reserve list. Every time I go to nice restaurants I’m excited to see a reserve list but also disappointed because most of the time I don’t want an entire bottle. At BLVD, with the use of the Coravin system, you can enjoy a glass of that old Bordeaux or Barolo instead of purchasing the entire bottle. The cheese is fantastic, my only complaint is I wish there were more of them! The food is also delicious. I’ve had most of the salads, the tomato soup, some of the pizzas, and both types of sliders. All of them were superb, though I wish there were a few more bigger meals on the menu other than pizza. There’s also frequent wine classes about every other Monday night as of the time of this review, usually starting at 7:30pm and ending around 9:00pm. The topics vary: everything from Wine 101 to a Pinot Noir master class. You might have to ask about the classes though as they aren’t always immediately advertised. If you get a chance to go, they are fantastic and lead by BLVD’s sommelier, Jeremy Christie. Overall, this is one of the best places in Long Island City. I highly recommend it!

The wine list is fine — better than pretty much anything else in the neighborhood, except for Manducatis(the one on Jackson Ave, not Vernon). And the cheese list is second to LIC Market(which is awesome and full of rare, constantly-changing selections). What concerned me(and what’s driving my 2-star review) was our bartender. I suspect she was either high or drunk. While(overly, bordering on inappropriately) friendly, she was forgetful, had slurred speech, etc. And the cheese plate was strange: cut up into quarter-inch cubes. I can’t figure out why someone would make that choice. It minimizes the presentation and perceived value of the plate. I’ll give it one more try. But for now, it isn’t a destination.

This wine bar is a really nice addition to Center Blvd. It’s perfect for an intimate night or to hang out with a few friends. It’s dimly lit and cozy. I love that they started serving food. The menu is pretty diverse– not only are your typical meats/cheeses, but also salads, soup, flatbreads, sliders, snacks, spreads and desserts. The food prices are reasonable– the wine is a little high but standard for the area. The food is really yummy. I tried the pork sliders and red eye flatbread and they both were tasty and fulfilling snacks for a chilly, rainy night. We also ordered the cookie for dessert which was soo delicious– crispy on the edges, gooey on the inside. I can’t wait to go back!

Great selection of wines as you would probably guess from their name. They also have beer but I have only had wine each time here. The staff is friendly and helpful when it comes to making suggestions. The flatbreads are exceptional. Very casual nice atmosphere.

Rating mostly on the atmosphere and their CHEESE! I will admit that my wine pallet is rather undeveloped, with me typically defaulting to ordering Riesling, or house wine. However, even to an inexperienced eye, the wine selection was very large, with prices ranging from $ 6 for house wine to $ 30 for a more high end glass. I should mention, that my husband and I live one block away form this place, which makes it a perfect location for a weeknight date, or a relaxing Saturday night. The place is small, with dimmed lighting but somehow it makes it more warm and inviting. I ordered a plate of three cheeses to go with a glass of Leyda, Pinot Noir. I selected Chevre d’ Argental, Tomme de Savoie and Roomano. If you like your cheeses to have a nice texture, but don’t like pungent smell, these three are great! Definitely a fan and will be back.

I really enjoyed this cozy spot — the ambiance is perfect for a date or just a relaxed evening. The chairs at the bar were not your typical bar stools, but rather tall arm chairs; super comfortable! Great selection of diverse wines and even some craft beers. The food choices were slightly limited– that being said, I really enjoyed the«birds of a feather» dish. I opted for the Absolut Peppar Vodka Sauce on top of the savory chicken and sausage meatballs(that went very well with my wine). I tried the«urban» Riesling which is German; it was delightful. I would definitely seek this place out when I’m near the LIC area.

BLVD has been such a great addition to the neighborhood. One of my favorite places to hang out. Their wine list is incredible and the staff is so knowledgable and helpful while making selections. I also tried their food for the first time last night and was not disappointed. Definitely a go-to neighborhood spot that I look forward to returning to

My best friends brought me here for my bachelorette celebration and we LOVED this place. The ambiance was very mellow and positive with an older professional crowd. We had white wine which was so smooth and sweet(i don’t recall the name). The food was delicious too… the waitress was really nice. There was a private party in the back room but it seems like their sound proofing is really good because we didn’t hear a thing from where we were seating but only when using the restroom. Overall I had a good experience. I most definitely want to go back.

BLVD is far and away my favorite place to hang-out in LIC. It has a wonderful selection of wine and has recently added cheese, meats, and hot foods to the menu. They even have a small selection of craft beers, my favorite of which is the Nora Belgian Whit. Something I really appreciate about this bar is that all the wines are available by the bottle or by the glass. A lot of wine bars will only sell pricier wines by the bottle, but BLVD has a nifty little device they use to draw a glass’ worth of wine from the bottle without un-corking it, allowing the remaining wine to be preserved. They also have a few house wines on tap which are delicious and inexpensive($ 6 a glass – and no, that’s not a happy hour special!). The menu is organized by wine type(crisp white, rich white, bold red, ect) and has a variety of options in each category. I have a preference for reds, so my favorites include the Gaglierdo(light red) and the Napa Valley Zinfandel(name escapes me at the moment – bold red). Even if I’m not sure what kind of wine I want the bartenders are always helpful with recommendations. Additionally, what would a few glasses of wine be without a cheese accompaniment? On my most recent visit I tried a selection of 3 cheese(I don’t really know what kind, I asked to be surprised) that were really flavorful and came with a small amount of some excellent honey(I know that sounds weird but the honey was seriously amazing). I also had the chicken meatballs and the tomato soup w/grilled cheese, both were awesome… so much so it will take some discipline to try the rest of the menu and not just order those dishes all the time. I will definitely be coming back regularly.
