came in on Valentine’s day for lunch before going to our main date dinner and it was incredible! im vegetarian and its hard to find food i like when we go out but this place is great. the staff is very friendly and the tofu tom yum is the best! my husband got a thai iced tea, which i don’t like, but he asked me to try and im so glad i did! it was so rich and creamy and i guess i had a real one instead of watered down versions im used to. the prices are very fair for such great food and service. will be taking my whole family here next time.

Awesome food, full of fresh herbs and spices. The Tom Yum and Tom Kha(coconut milk based) soups are amazing! My only complaint: there are large chunks of lemongrass and other herbs that are not soft enough to chew… the way it is supposed to be, vs. the way a westerner would expect. Overall great little family owned place!

Needed wifi and a late meal the other night. The ladies were closing up because it was 20 til 9 and raining, and the place was empty. But they let us come in, use the wifi and were supposed to give us the food to go. But they served us like we were kings. And the food was amazing. Really good thai! We’ll be back!

I flew from Seattle for a business trip and I really needed Thai food. Pad see eew was delicious. The owner and the staff are very friendly. It’s an authentic Thai food. If you are looking for that, go for it! I will be back for sure!

New owner now and the food is great, my family and I have tried 5 different dishes and everything was great. Ask for spicy-you get spicy. My new favorite Thai restaurant in long beach.

I spotted this place from the Blue Line on my home from work last week, and this is my 3rd time eating here since then. With a Thai wife and 25+ trips to Thailand I have a pretty good feel-for authenticity, and The Spoon has it. Their pad siew gai is my favorite dish so far, but I will work my way through the rest of the menu in time. Excellent food, friendly service, good prices. A winner!

My mom and I called in an order from here on a Saturday evening for pickup, but when we got there we decided we were starving and just wanted to sit down and eat ASAP and the ladies working here could not have been more accommodating… even though our food was already packaged up and ready to go, they brought us plates and serving spoons and waters, etc. They were super friendly and attentive. There was only one other person eating here at the time, but it was sort of early for dinner and plus this is sort of a bizarre location. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and my mom had the Green Curry. Both were very generous portions and delicious. The Pad Thai could have used a few more shrimp and the sauce was a little on the sweet side, but overall good and I will definitely order from and/or dine here again.

I’m a soup-a-holic, and this place has got some great Thai soups! I usually pick up to-go cartons of their delicious tom yum with chicken, but the staff is friendly, and the dining area very warm and inviting if you have the time to sit down for your meal.

New management is so confusing :(We used to love this place and came regularly, so we were surprised when we were interrupted while placing our order and told that they serve soup only now. Like, only soup after 6pm? No, only soup like EVER. But the old menu is still up, and other people appear to have successfully ordered yummy food other than soup … Not really sure what’s going on with the menu, but I guess we’ll come back next time we feel like just soup?

I loved it here. I stopped by for lunch and the place was CLEAN, the staff was FRIENDLY, and the food tasted DELICIOUS. Good price. The lunch special came out to about $ 8. The décor is really cute, however, the place is small, so it’s not ideal for large parties. I will definitely go back!

I guess this place is under new management. I never ate here when it was under the old management so I don’t know how it compares. But my experience was great. I called in my order&decided to just pick it up. When I walked in the lady called me by name&went thru each box to assure that they got the order correct. She was really sweet&made sure there wasn’t anything else I needed. Chicken Pad Thai — loved it. Sweet&tangy. Combo Fried Rice — delicious. My son loves fried rice so it was a must. Papaya Salad — we got it very mild. It was good. Beef with Broccoli — this is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. The beef was dry&i feel like it should have been in more sauce. It was bland. The staff is great&the food is good. I would definitely come back. I know it’s still considered their grand opening so hopefully they keep it up!

First time here and I will be back! Food is amazing and intense with depth of flavor. Real beef pieces used in beef salad which was not too spicy but just spicy enough and full of flavor. Tom kha soup with tofu had a nice balance of lime and coconut flavor. Satay was great and peanut sauce was like a sweet peanut cream. They should bottle it! Egg rolls were egg rolls but they were on special so this isn’t about the egg rolls. Every dish was sent with a nice presentation! Thai tea!!!

Went to the opening Friday night and was very impressed. I had the chicken fried rice and crab wontons and I am addicted! My husband had the pad Thai noodles. The sweet/spicy dish will be a favorite! I also loved the beautiful presentation of our dishes.

New management. I ordered pad se eew but got pad thai instead. And I was the only costumer in the restaurant. So no way can they mix up my order with someone elses.

I like it spicy! This was my first time here, I came before their grand opening(or reopening I guess) and I didn’t know they weren’t open, so I came back a few days later for lunch since I’m still new to long beach. I ordered the chicken drunken noodle(extra spicy!) It was flavorful and had a kick to it, but I did add chili sauce to it right up until the last bite, which isn’t a bad thing I just like spicy food! I appreciated that it was spicy but I could add my own spin to it. I might’ve liked some sriracha more but the chIli sauce was good too! The waitress was happy that I liked it spicy. I thought that was funny. Overall I’d give my dish a 9⁄10 it was really good. I liked the inside of the place it was cool and clean… although it was a nice afternoon I decided to stay inside… I would like to come back again maybe for dinner! I’m almost tempted to come back tonight! I think once they are running for a few more months they’ll have all their foods in and corrections to their menu, but I think they are definitely on the right track! My experience here was perfect 5⁄5. My food was 4.5÷5 :) Thank you for a great lunch:) –Spicy Eddie:-) Ps i saved about a dollar on my bill(10% opening discount)

There is a new owner starting December 8, 2014. We were able to talk to one of the owners(George) and was very nice to explain the menu. We never tried the restaurant from the previous owner so couldn’t compare the food nor service. From my understanding, the some of the rice dishes have been maintained since the have the same chef. They want to focus on their hot soup though(ala«boiling point» style). The soup base was really good. You could taste it very natural, NOMSG. We tried the beef soup and seafood. The only complaint is the beef was a little hard, but the owner mentioned they were still experimenting what they will eventually use, so this should be better. Also, I wish there were more portions. Within January 2015, they are planning to have Hibachi Grill, where you get to choose what meat you want, and you can cook it on your table. Sounds interesting. The place provided great service. Their hostess was the one that served us too. Her name is Tatianna. She use to work there with the previous owner.

Meh… Really not sure what I was eating. It had some Thai flavors in it, but it was so lackluster which is disappointing because everything else about the dish was pretty much on spot. Noodles. check Meat. check Veggies. check Flavor… ??? At least in regards to the house glass noodle beef plate. Was hoping for some pad kee mow but not an option on the menu and ordered this instead. If I say that’ll teach me for being lazy and not driving a few blocks I’d be lying… but I know I won’t come back here. Really weird how this is the only thai place near downtown… but drive a few blocks and bam That/Cam places all around.
