First of all, like others have said, this place is hidden from the main street. It’s located in the parking lot, which is behind the building. I’ve been coming here for years now, and the quality is pretty consistent. Everything is freshly made, and it shows in the food. I usually get the #10(Cambodian stir fry noodles) and a shave ice for a sweet treat! It’s a «no-fuss» type of place, you go in, order, and get your food in a decent time.

A great place hidden on Anaheim street. Ban mi is made with mayo but very light in taste. I am used to pâté on my ban mi, but I liked theirs because of the light feeling it gave. I also had the beef stew. It was full of flavor. The side of bread that comes with the soup will fill most people even with a small size soup. They also have great espresso which they make the hot drinks with. I had a great New Year’s breakfast here and will come back to try different dishes.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of the Cambodian community. I’ve been here many times. There are so many good things about this place. I usually come for the #10 stir fried noodles or the #12 rice porridge(with a side of Cambodian fried doughnut)…both some of the best I’ve ever had! Their boba drinks are also one of the best I’ve had anywhere. They have such a big variety of flavors, from teas, to fruit flavored drinks, and even fresh avacado and durian drinks. Oh, and did I mention the shave ice? So bomb! And with all these great food options, the prices are great and the service is quick and friendly. One of my favorite spots in Long Beach for sure! Definitely coming back, again and again, and again…

I’ve tried only dessert so this review is for dessert and an appearance of the restaurant. They offer several varieties of South Asian desserts and they are all $ 1.50 which they serve in a plastic cups. They are not too sweet and freshly made. A shopping center that this restaurant is located is not appealing but inside of the restaurant itself is clean and the service is very friendly. They do speak good English. Now I know where to go for warm south Asian dessert in LB.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Long Beach. I’m a self-proclaimed banh mi fanatic, so I can be quite picky. In Long Beach there are several other mom and pop shops like this one that also make banh mi, but their biggest drawback is the quality of the baguette: sometimes it’s too flaky or lacks true depth in the flavor. However, at Star Bakery and Sandwich, the baguette is DELICIOUS! I’ve visited Europe on many occasions for work, and have eaten my fair share of amazing baguettes. Yes, there is a Lee’s Sandwich not far away, but their baguettes can’t compare to the ones at this café. The baguettes here are almost on par with what is available in Europe. Just try it, you won’t regret it. This café also has a young and enthusiastic owner that makes an effort to get to know his customers(provided he isn’t taking orders from other customers). He’s very personable and greets with a smile. He also helps out the local business community by letting them place flyers in his for customers to see. All in all, a great and honest business owner in Long Beach.

Had BBQ beef banh mi totally missed the mark, the pickle veggies has no flavor the beef dry and no hint of BBQ anywhere. The bread is hard. so disappointed. The ham banh mi, where’s the ham lol! And the pâté’ It’s paper thinly sliced feel like I’m just eating the stale hard bread. Not again am I going to order from here. How can you mess up a simple Bahn mi?

As far as banh mi goes, it’s pretty tough to make bad banh mi, but if you’re going to try, you should start by not including pâté. How else are you going to moisten it… mayo? Not the same! I mean, I was only out $ 2.50, so I’m not even mad, but I’ll keep going to Baguette Paris… thank you very much.

The one a star is for service, or more correctly a lack of service. Not only was the server rude, she was slow, not a good kind of slow where theres attention to detail. But she was just so slow orders were repeated soon to be forgotten in a heart beat. She barely wanted to acknowledge you even though your RIGHT there. Even if food was good even if price is right… not worth stopping by again to wait… theres no line.

Was only here for a short amount of time, but this is a hidden spot that is worth a venture. Only grabbed one of the shaved ice drinks, but it was really nice. They were quick, but didn’t hasten. The drinks themselves are sweet, but the with all the additions to the drink balanced it out a bit. It also gave different textures and flavors not really known by most. Definitely recommended spot.

I was just in town for the weekend for a cousin’s wedding, and my family ended up dropping by two mornings in a row to grab some cheap and tasty vietnamese sandwiches along with some delicious iced coffee! Wish I could get the same $ 4 lunch in Michigan. :D

Great prices! Delicious without the restaurant environment and excessive loud music. Vibes similar to a coffee shop. Parking is tight however weekdays are great during lunch.
