Payless is a great place to go for vegan shoes, although I’d also guess that at such low prices, they’re likely sweatshop-made. This store, as usual, predominantly features women’s shoes; the kids’ section includes Hello Kitty and Bratz shoes, plus girls’ ballet and tap shoes. The men’s section constitutes only one aisle. Right now, the sporty stock is mostly Champion, Airwalk, and American Eagle. I found enough shoes I liked to easily pick up two pairs of cute Airwalk flats(but I missed the BOGO sale by a week, dammit). I think my biggest problem with the store is that they don’t stock every style in every size, so I’d find a pair I liked another size over, but was unable to get a pair for myself. Boooo. Also, their selection of insoles was cut-to-fit. I’d rather spend another $ 2 to have it already sized right. For any complaints, I still got two pairs of cute shoes for $ 31, and the receipt has a coupon for $ 2 off if I buy another pair of shoes in the next month. I saved $ 9 due to a sale. The manager, who rang me up, was very friendly. Can I really complain? Nah.
