I’m super picky about where I order my sushi from. I’m relatively new to the Long Beach area and was in search of a good sushi restaurant that would deliver. Ordered two rolls and a seaweed salad. All was very fresh and the delivery was quick! Will definitely be ordering again.

Decent sushi in the Long Beach area. We recently moved here and we’re perusing seamless for options to eat during tonight’s Sex and the City marathon when we stumbled upon this sushi place. We ordered a ton of food for delivery. Service was prompt and friendly, and all of the food was very good. Nothing extremely amazing, but I will definitely return. Brownie points for offering brown rice options and a ton of lunch special prices. Keeping note for my next sushi lunch!

So im trying to figure out why so many people love this place. First and foremost, the delivery is blazingly fast. Gotten delivery about 5 times now and its consistently under 30min… wow. My big issue here is with the sushi that its mostly a hunk of rice, and its not big… and there it is… sure, you might pay $ 10 for a spicy tuna roll but its mostly rice… a carb… and we all love our carbs. The profit margin on this place must be ridiculous. Ordered three rolls and they sent one thing of soy sauce. Ran out half way through last roll… you are getting robbed every time you order from here.

I have been coming to Nagoya for a few years and I finally decided it was time to say what a great place it is. I’m a sushi lover having been to most sushi spots in Long Beach. They are definitely consistent with the quality they offer. I like the sandwich roll. My BF likes the roll combos. The lettuce cups are tasty. The prices are reasonable. They usually offer a coupon in the community coupon book. You do not need to pay cash which is a plus. I Only dine in. The restaurant is nice and updated since Sandy. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Nagoya’s like that girl you see at the gym with the nice bod, poor face(or visa versa). Should you ask her out? Want to go steady? Let me explain… The food… is good. We go simple here, but it’s constantly good. I usually go with… — Tri Color Sushi Dinner(salmon, tuna, hamachi) — Edamame — Gyoza — Avocado Salad — AAC Roll(avocado, asparagus, cucumber) All good stuff. Plus the delivery time is usually 20 – 40, which is A-OK. This, my friends, is the hot bod. On to that face you’re just not sure about… Dining in the restaurant is an awful experience. The service, if you want to call it that, was nonexistent. Seriously, I’m not sure if we had a waitress. We were seated, but not given menus. Different people brought things to our table. Took forever to get the check. You know, the usual service fails. The place isn’t large and there were three servers that night, very strange how you could ignore a few customers(the table next to us had the same problem). To boot, there were 6(!) children hanging out at the restaurant unsupervised. So, yea, not fun. I’ll be ordering them again, bc the food is good and the delivery is money, but never again will I see the inside of those doors. Protip: hit up their website for a 20% off coupon(dine-in only)

Buyer Beware. My husband and I ordered Sushi takeout last Friday, February 13th and ended up with food poisoning. This was the second time we ordered sushi from there and while the first time was without incident, will not be ordering from there again.

Two stars. Service non-existent. Three tables at high point, so no reason for inattentiveness. Hair in food(under a shrimp). Tea in pot not hot, so refills make your tea lukewarm. Won’t return.

Ordered delivery tonight and was very satisfied with everything I got. I typically order from himawari but decided to give them a try based off of other reviewers. I wasn’t disappointed. I got a small order of the seafood soup which was great. It had alot of seafood pieces in it so they definitely dont skimp. I also ordered 2 rolls which were very good also.

The food from this restaurant was so good that it prompted me to write my first Unilocal review! I ordered takeout from Nagoya last night and enjoyed every bite. The edamame was the best i’ve ever had. The sweet potato roll was amazing and the«snow love roll» is perfect for any raw sushi skeptics(like me); the crab was very fresh and tasty. I will definitely be returning!

I have a very love-hate relationship with this restaurant and I’m not sure why. The staff is very friendly and the meals are not terrible, the prices are pretty low(AND there are always 20% off coupons) and the interior is decent… but something keeps me from coming here often despite the fact that I can walk there from my home in about 30 seconds. That’s a pretty big statement. Obviously, I’ve never been wowed here enough to make convenience a deciding factor in eating here. Sushi wise, it’s just decent. I’d rather go to Nagahama or wait for delivery from Himawari instead of getting this. If you want plain sushi/sashimi like a tuna roll or salmon roll then maybe this place is pretty good but when you get into the harder stuff like Ikura or Uni I’m not sure that this is the place to go for freshness. Something just rubs me the wrong way. I will say that I do go for the cooked options here(which is VERY rare for me in a sushi setting) and the mixed seafood soup with buckwheat noodles(which is actually a mix between ramen and spaghetti but definitely not soba) is somewhat comforting. I always ask for extra pepper and I like it… there’s a good amount of veggie to seafood ratio. The deep fried crab and fried oysters are also nice compliments as is the plain green salad. I recommend this for a time when you just want some sushi basics at a low price, but you are not looking to be blown away. It’s normal, its somewhat comforting and it serves the purpose of curing your craving for Japanese food. Good for the price. Also a great spot if you like being alone in a restaurant — no one is ever really in here.

Friendly and great quality. They just renovated to add more space and a more open feel which i like. I have been coming here for over ten years. Evan the chef will make you a great Evan roll — whatever he is feeling that day — and it is family run, down to earth and delightful.

Slowly Long Beach is coming back and restaurants are re opening. This was my first time trying Nagoya. My usual sushi place in Island Park looks looks like its going to be closed for a long time recovering from hurricane Sandy. I decided to try Nagoya for two reasons: I saw the sign advertising 20% off, and while I love the food at Nagahama, its kind of crowded and expensive. I really liked the atmosphere at Nagoya. prettier. more of a «date place». Food was great. Great sushi choices… happy to find a new place to go in Long Beach…

Solid sushi and second only to Nagahama(and Himawari) in long beach. Take out is best bet and its reasonably priced.

I love sushi. I really, really do. Ive been eating it since I was knee high to a grasshopper. This place has some really good specialty rolls and the quality is aces for the price. Exceptional? Nah, prolly not, but the sushi is good, it’s never made me sick, the delivery is quick. Leaps and bounds better then the other. Sushi in long beach I’ve tried, fresh fish and not overly ricetastic PLUS they have ikura. I love ikura.

Forgot to review this one now for sometime! Nagoya is what I think of as a sleeper… The décor is average, the location somewhat off the beaten path, nothing over the top about the place but their sushi is great. And really what are you there for anyways, it’s not as good as Nagahama but for the price and what they have to offer this place can’t be beaten. Definitely one to check out if you’re in the mood for some good sushi.

Just ordered delivery from here and it wasn’t bad. I ordered just a plain tuna roll and a salmon roll and a piece of white tuna. The worst was the red tuna and it was pretty good. The white tuna melted in your mouth and was sweet, though it could have been a little softer. The salmon was great, fatty and cut nice and thick. My aunt ordered a shrimp tempura roll with no scallions and no flying fish eggs and they complied easily. Her piece of salmon looked amazing and her spicy crunchy tuna looked good for what it was(I’m not a big spicy tuna fan). The wasabi was ridiculously spicy, though good and they use red ginger, if that matters to anyone. It’s good, though again, I’m a white ginger fan, myself. Also the delivery range is really good considering the location, as are the times they’re open until(10:30 pm Monday — Thursday, 11 pm Friday — Saturday, 10 pm Sunday) All in all, though, a surprisingly good experience from a last-minute(and late night) sushi delivery place. Would definitely go again. In fact, just thinking about going again is kind of exciting. I wish I’d have ordered another roll… white tuna I think. Or another salmon one. :D

This is definitely a hidden place on Park Avenue. Being further down from the train station ensures less city traffic which I appreciate in the summer months where there are«tourist» all over LB. Interesting choice of rolls but limited. The tuna tartare and mango with avocado was AWESOME. Lido roll(eel, avocado, crab, seaweed salad) was really tasty and rolled more like a disc. Totally fresh fish. Only complaints were that the service was«eh» and there was no sake :(
