It gets busy at times and sometimes hard to find a seat to study. But overall it is a good spot to hangout with friends and have a chat. People are friendly; overall it’s a nice spot:)

Cute little coffeehouse right next to a park in long beach. Really loved the options to be able to create your own drink or have something that they specialize in. Pretty roomy place on the inside and everyone working there is super friendly. I had an iced chai latte with soy blended with mixed spice and vanilla with whipped cream on top! Would definitely recommend!

Great experience. Portfolio is my usual spot but I am trying too broaden my horizons. The guy who helped me was so incredibly nice. I made an aids fibrin simply because of how much I like him and how kind he was to me. His demeanor was so genuine it felt like a verbal hug. Coffee is great too! I didn’t get anything fancy just a coffee with some steamed soy milk but coffee was fresh. They have like 5 different coffees out at a time all freshly brewed which is great because I like variety and I love coffee fresh.

I really like the scene and the people who work here. It’s definitely hipster, LGBTQ, and modern. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I do think it’s a little more expensive here but not significantly. I like to come here on a Sunday afternoon, order a skinny vanilla latte, and sit outside and people watch.

The best I’ve found to date. If you like spicy order the flaming mocha! Yummy. They take great pride in their shop!

Great vibe. Great sandwiches and dessert. Great hot chocolate and iced tea. Fun music and friendly employees. A long beach institution for a reason.

I have been coming here for a while and consider this place my home-office away from home. Three words: Flaming. Dirty. Bi-Chai. A house specialty that is soooo yummy! Also, lots of delicious food options ranging from an assortment of snacks to pasties to sandwiches. Other important coffee shop considerations that this spot fulfills: lots of outlets, variety of table sizes that accommodate individual or group-work, cool ambiance, fun music(seems like it’s always different!), and friendly people(staff and regulars alike!).

Best coffee in SoCal! These guys are from Seattle and make a Seattle coffee snob’s dreams come true with every sip! Get a Cronut to go with your drink. Sandwiches are good. Not great but good/edible. The ambiance is nice with different types of seating, including patio tables. Would give the place a 4.5 if I could.

This place is unreal! I’m from the valley and came to visit and they are so cool and accommodating. I asked for a smoothie and the worker said and I quote«we can blend any together» that made me feel extra special!!! I don’t know your name, but the worker with the glasses is amazing. They offered me the wifi without even budging??? The coolest. Love it. Def coming back.

What a wonderful coffee shop! Visited from NYC and had a few hours to kill before a dinner in the neighborhood. Found this cute coffee shop and felt right at home. The baristas were fun and engaging(especially Alex), and recommended a flambé chai and mocha which were both amazing. Had we known that this coffee shop was that comfortable and welcoming(they had couches, newspapers, game boards, cards, music, etc), we would’ve come earlier. What a great place(and the coffee is so good that it competes with the new Bay Area Philz craze). Oh and don’t forget to try a homemade cookie. An all around 5-star.

This place is so awesome! The cashier was very helpful in describing the drinks and giving me a recommendation. I ordered a chai tea, half spiced chai and half vanilla with an espresso shot. I didn’t think it was sweet enough and the cashier kindly made it sweeter. I loved the foam in my drink. It was so frothy and amazing!

This place have friendly costumer service and have unique food. My girl and I went here after biking at the beach cause we want to try somewhere new. The server is really friendly and helpful for first time costumers. They recommended their bacon cheddar scone which is amazingly good. It is a unique scone cause not a lot of coffee shops make such a food and it’s the cook’s special for that day. It was flaky and cheesy at the same time. We ordered their madeleine cookies, too and it’s sweeter than other madeleines. My girl ordered their chocolate macchiato and it was good. They have improv comedy open mics on certain days as well so might go there too. Overall, I will definitely go here again :)

First: the business review I felt absolutely welcome as a middle aged straight lady. Coffee is excellent. Fresh. Piping hot. Easily accessible condiments and sparking clean surfaces everywhere. Food: only had a cinnamon roll and it was great. Staff: friendly, but gave us time to orient before interacting. Seating is also perfect. Lots of it. Indoor. Outdoor. Upholstered and hard. Bathrooms: accessible and spotless. Secondly: my own agenda: I’m shocked by the negative reviews citing behavior by staff that seems to indicate their interest in making money. Or that being«straight» here was not comfortable. This is a business, not a library. Operating an independent café is not a lucrative business and making any profit, much less being able to employ people and provide a community space, is extremely difficult. Further more, I used to own a café & know quite a bit about the balance between making a welcoming public space vs. the gang parking it rent free for the day while nursing a single 2 $ cup of coffee. They have no obligation to let you bring in food or drink or use their bathroom or sit in their comfy chairs all day. It is absolutely well within their rights to ask patrons to be customers. To infer that being asked to buy something or not to bring in outside refreshments is offensive, indicates a rather selfish and privileged perspective.

I use to come here and study with some friends back in college, but recently I will not come here again. The last time I was here I was yelled at because I had a Starbucks refill cup that was filled with water. He literally came up to me while I was setting my stuff down. As I’m setting up my laptop and books, he gets in my face and says, «How dare you?! Come in here with that cup!» Talk about haters. Like relax, I’ll buy a damn muffin, can I first look at your menus. Every time when my friends wants to meet up at this place, this memory flashes back. I don’t feel like this place has an inviting atmosphere at all for a straight person like myself.

I just watched an employee tap someones shoulder aggressively and then say, in a voice that the entire café could hear, that they needed to buy something or leave. Then they said they would call the police, still in a voice that the entire café could hear. When the customer didn’t immediately leave, they said they we’re going to start recording them on their phone. The employee then proceeded to take out their phone and take photos of the customer. I overheard him afterwords say that he’s «worked here for ever» and«doesn’t care» if the guy calls the boss. It’s such a shame, I’ve been coming for a year but it would just be too awkward to go back with that employee there. What if I sat down and didn’t immediately buy a drink, would i be yelled at and photographed???

Solid spot in long beach. Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I’ve seen this place on my runs around town and I’ve meaning meaning to try it. Place wasn’t packed but lots of people with their laptops and books, so it was your usual café vibe. I ordered a large iced coffee, which was good and a breakfast burrito with bacon. Now, living in SoCal I’ve been spoiled with huge portions when it comes to burritos so I was expecting this HUGE meal. It wasn’t. It was a smaller portion than what I’m used to but I honestly felt satisfied. The burrito itself was good tho. Hot and it tasted great. Will definitely comeback.

Always an amazing cup of joe when I come by. Usually just get a latte or a flat white, and it’s always on point. The various sweets and snacks available help get me through lunch ha. A must try neighborhood hot spot and favorite!
