A decent location. I’ve been here a few dozen times. Not great, not horrible. The neighborhood is the issue for the most part. I prefer the drive thru.

I made the mistake of going to eat inside this El Pollo Loco today. Too many things wrong with this location. The restrooms were filthy and they had no soap. The salsa was not replenished, the tables were as dirty as the restrooms. The assistant manager Cassandra was rude. I will never go to El Pollo Loco again.

Their food is okay, their service is shitty. I would tolerate it because it was convenient. However, since my last visit, my food was completely disgusting. It looked even more disgusting. Never again will I come back. I rather take the drive to the one on Clark that has good quality food and great service. You can actually taste the difference between the two, even the guacamole salsa. It may take longer but at least I will be satisfied.

Okay so this is the El Pollo Loco that I go to next to my work merely because it is next to my work. And their food is pretty good its always hot in fraction the sauces are decent I don’t really like their chips and their sodas are just a touch off but other than that the food quality is pretty good I do like the chicken burrito if I do get quite often also they have a cheaper menu option called the BRC or the bean rice and cheese that with a little bit of their avocado salsa is excellent and it always hits the spot for a very good price that only 2:14 after tax. A few things that they could improve on is the size of the little cups they give you to get salsa and are super super tiny so if you need like four or five of them just to have enough. They do you have a larger cup for the salsa but it depends on who you ask on whether to actually give you to you or not. Lastly the bathrooms they need to clean a little more often when I go in there it is not pretty it smells funny and its just not a restroom that I would want to use if I was going out to eat and if I don’t want to use that restroom I do I want to eat after employees that have use that restroom.

Starving!!! On January 6, 2016 I did a 5 hour drive dropped off my car to get my tires changed and went straight to el pollo loco for my lunch while waiting for my tires. Everything on their menu looked so delicious I just wanted to order everything. Their restroom is clean, employees here are attentive and friendly, food smells and taste so delicious! Love the variety of their drinks. Thanks for the great experience here! I definitely recommend eating here!

This place is really a shitshow. The only reason I patronize this location is because it is next to the laundromat I use. The location on Los Coyotes Diagonal has better service and food. There is usually a problem here, whether it’s the food, or the order. Maybe this place needs to close or get a new manager. Look for my picture with the long hair on the receipt. I tweeted the picture, and I really think I’m done with this place. As a hairstylist, I’m used to having hair in my food, clothes, everywhere, but never this long. 6″ of hair, in my burrito, at the very end of it is just gross.

Let me start by saying I love el pollo loco! And my fast food standard is lower than for restaurants. But, This location is consistently terrible. I’ll be damned if I can ever get my sides or extras requests(this is especially annoying when they’ve been paid for). They almost always forget the salad dressing or salsa requests, the soda sometimes tastes more chemical — than typical, and the location is super sketchy. We have experienced them being out of chicken several times(how? Your name literally has chicken in it). They’ve also been out of ice cream.

Okay, I honestly don’t get the low ratings and stank reviews being left for this El Pollo Loco. I’ve been coming here for years, YEARS, and have never had a bad experience. Ever. The food has always been fresh and delicious. The service has always been fast, courteous, and professional. Yes, lunchtime can be a bit busy but not any more so than any other fast food place at lunch time. The food is delicious and worth the wait, which usually isn’t more than say five minutes or so. I’ve NEVER had bad food or stank attitude from any of the cashiers. The girls are always friendly, thanking me for coming and saying«Visit us again soon!», to which I always reply«I will! I love this place!». The only thing I will say is they’ve gotten pricey, which I think reflects how popular they are now. So check them out. Don’t be swayed by the negative commentary left here. They don’t reflect my experiences here.

THANKSAGAIN to El Pollo Loco for totally getting my order wrong! Monday September 7th around 6:30PM I ordered food in the Drive-Thru, a Shrimp Mexican Cobb Salad with NO cheese, NO bacon, extra beans, and extra pico de gallo on the side. I get all the way home and what do I have? A LOUSYDISGUSTINGCHICKENSALADWITHBACON. I am a VEGETARIAN! It never fails, this El Pollo Loco always gets my orders wrong. Whats funny is they have the nerve to have an attitude problem as they take your order. I think its time for me to spend my money at Charo Chicken. Next time I’ll go to JJ Chinese Express which is in the same shopping center because their food and service is 100% better.

Why take the time to write a review about a fast food place? Because it was that bad of an experience! I was unsure of what comes in a combo so I asked«what comes with the combo» after raising my voice and rephrasing the questions several times I just went with the combo not even know what it came with. I was constantly cut off at the speaker and felt rushed and like a burden rather than a customer. The drive thru was filthy and their were random handwritten signs for medical supplies for purchases? Cindy must be over worked and under paid because the experience from the drive up to the drive out was terrible.

Never been approached inside a place and had a guy ask for food before and then sit in a booth and stare at me as I eat. When I first came in I seen him filling up the little cups at the salsa bar then sit and eat them. I thought he was waiting for his food. Nope he was waiting for people to finish there’s to eat what they didn’t. Was super awkward and after he came up to me and ask I didn’t want to be in there.

The Cashier Stephanie had a terrible attitude when I ordered my food. I didnt enjoy the dirty look she was giving me and my girlfriend as if we were asking her to do to much. I wish the establishment would hire people who will treat the customer with respect and have a positive attitude.

El Pollo Loco Corporate Training and Corporate: I used to work for a training store in Long Beach and I know this is absolutely not the way you cut the wings. I have been coming here for five years and I have never received wings that we have a piece of breast on them the way that they are supposed to. I love this restaurant, but this spot is terrible. The location is so that the place is ALWAYS packed, and with shady individuals, too. I was standing in line to pick up a large order for lunch for all the employees at the animal hospital which I help to manage last Sunday, and two guys behind me(usually I say«gentlemen», but these guys were not) were talking about me, and with no shame. It was embarrassing. I won’t be back to this spot. I don’t like being objectified anywhere, but in a crowded restaurant is the worst. And I didn’t say anything back to them simply because of the area I was in. Next time we order lunch from here, I will send someone else to pick it up. Also, the corn tortillas we got were falling apart. They weren’t even usable for tacos. They were all broken up. No thanks!

Wanted to try something different since I’m front out of town, so my cousin brought me here so we could grab something quick and easy and not too unhealthy. I ordered the chicken avocado salad, which had about two or three of the smallest slices of avocado I have ever seen. My cousin also bought a salad. And they forgot to give us our dressing. Luckily, my cousin had checked, because I wouldn’t have realized it. Their cilantro dressing is pretty tasty, and my salad wasn’t too bad. I also like their salsa bar; I took some hot salsa, pico de gallo, avocado sauce, and fresh peppers to give them a try, and they were pretty tasty too.

The Manager Laura helped me with order and got the order wrong. She fixed it but not properly and I received my order about 4 bites into it I feel hair in my mouth I put my finger and pull out a hair, I proceeded to tell the dining room employee(Attendant) and threw the food in the trash right in front of her. I wasn’t going to eat it. She took the piece of hair to the employee and said the manager said it is not a hair. When you pull a hair out of your mouth and it continues to the end you absolutely feel that and recognize it is a hair. There have been times I have ordered in the drive thru and no salsa was in the bag as requested. Just the very thing you need to make the meal is missing — Now that is CRAZY you can see and not TASTE! Please check your bags before you leave the DRIVE — THRU!

So, my boyfriend swung by El Pollo Loco on the way home from work. I was sick and was really craving El Pollo. He got there at 5:25 p. m and they told him they were out of chicken. They said it would be a 30 minute wait for it to be prepared and cooked. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this a chicken restaurant? I have worked at el pollo loco before so i know the standards that employee should have to serve customers, and i think they are doing pretty good job. I know its hard to serve each and different other customers all the time(because im a cashier too) and i was just so amazed how the cashier tooked my order. I know he is just giving me his fake smile but im honestly impressed with his customer service. he was so nice and well spoken. Chicken were at same taste as other el pollo loco. The only thing i noticed was the place. No expediter to maintain the lobby and the tables clean. But overall. They’re doung good!
