Would eat here but they don’t pick up their phone and can’t order online cause the website doesn’t work with Unilocal.Been here before and the food was decent but service was terrible. Basically they’re slow and disorganized.

Interesting hot dog toppings and a good selection of craft brews. Customer service was friendly and helpful. I spent a long time reading the menu and they didn’t rush me at all. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The soo cali dog was delicious, but a tad messy and hard to eat. It was the first time I needed a fork to eat a hot dog. Great tasting nonetheless!

So, we were on our way to Ruby’s last night and decided to see if there was something more nearby that would be just as good or better. I’m so glad we found this place because, wow, the food is excellent. The burgers and dogs are imaginative and everything is delicious. The staff were super helpful and patient in explaining our(many) options. Any place that has custom corn dogs is golden, as far as I am concerned. Only complaint: make the awesome shakes bigger, please. We can’t wait to go back. Really fun place.

Just go here. I had the downtown hot dog and it was amazing!!! It was a Sunday night(the one before Memorial Day) and it seemed that most places downtown were either closing early, didn’t have their usual happy hour(boo Wokano, I talking about you!!) or their kitchens were closed. This place was open had one of the best hot dogs I have ever had, AND had but one get one free beer specials. I can’t wait to go back.

I love fast-casual dinning, and after seeing this place while my hubs and I were on The Passport exploring the area(it literally stops across the street), I was intrigued to try the food. I went in for dinner and ordered the Downtown Dog(without ketchup and mustard) with sweet potato fries and a coke. It was absolutely delicious! I ate outside on a beautiful, breezy day, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. And when my food was delivered, the staff told me about other drink options and specials they had, which I thought was an awesome touch. My only con: I want one to open in NYC! :D

This place is fairly new in the long beach community. It is located in the east village arts district. Parking here might be a struggle, because there are meters and some structures, but there is a lot of car traffic around these parts of long beach– which is to be expected. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are really well decorated. In the dining room they also have a bar. The menu is easy to read, and it is really affordable for a gourmet hotdog– more so than pinks. My group ordered a couple things– a downtown dog, a soo Cali dog(I forgot the name), the old town dog, a burger slider, regular fries, and sweet potato fries. The food here was really great! The cashier lady was so helpful, and answered all our questions promptly and knowledgeably. The food was so good, I nearly teared up. I am so happy to have gourmet hotdogs so readily available close to my house! My only problem was that I did find a hair in my hotdog, but I figured it wasn’t that big of a deal because mistakes happen. Hopefully that person takes baths daily! Haha. Great and affordable food, good bar, and a great place to sit and have a meal.

My first time here and I loved it. The ambience and and brand new feeling of this place took the cake. As my party and I walked in, we noticed both the outdoor and indoor seating. Both of them looked great, but we chose to sit indoors. It was a hot day, and the AC felt great inside. The lady working the register was very helpful in answering questions and suggesting food. I ordered the Old Town Dog because of my love for spicy food, and anything bacon appeals to me. The other 2 ordered the Downtown Dog & Soo Cali Dog. We also ordered a side burger slider, side regular fries, and a side of sweet potato fries. My hot dog was amazing. The texture of the bread was soft and accompanied the hot dog very well. It was a little messy with all of the sauce and toppings on the top, but was phenomenal. For a gourmet hot dog, the price seemed about average considering the environment and location. Everyone in my party really liked their food. The fries were ok — nothing special. Although, I really do like dipping my fries into mayo or chipotle sauce, so that’s a good option. They also have a bar off to the side if one is thinking about ordering some alcoholic beverages. Seems as if they only have beer, but I can’t say if that’s true. They also have free wifi for those who need it. All in all, I think this place is very good & I definitely see myself returning in the near future. Just be prepared for the parking because it is in the Arts District of East Village, Downtown Long Beach… Meaning that there are a lot of one way streets and parking meters/parking garages. Bring some coins!

I’ve been waiting for them to open a location closer to me because I was first introduced to dog haus in Pasadena. My usual is the little mule(minus the egg) and the love boat! Everything tastes so fresh and the consistency is amazing. Tastes like the first time I tasted it 4 years ago in Pasadena. Do yourself a flavor and get the love boat with the tots, you won’t regret it except for maybe the next time u step on a scale. Everything was very tasty and we were all happy.

As I’m writing this I’m enjoying Dog Haus’ amazing food. This is my first visit and you can bet I’ll be coming back. My girlfriend recommended this place to me and I’m so glad she did. Starting with the the actual restaurant itself it is very modern and new. Made to seat a lot of people with a bar with beer on tap. The decals on the wall and the puns, which are a bonus make it seem like they put a lot of attention to detail. Service was top notch even though most of the things you need are right within reach. The staff was on top of clearing and cleaning tables as soon as a party left. They also greeted customers at the door and were very welcoming. The most important thing, the food. The food was amazing. I can’t even begin to explain. Everything is made on King’s Hawaiian Rolls and the menu is very detailed you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. You definitely get your money’s worth. I was full after one of their burgers I could barely making it to my side order of cheddar cheese bacon loaded tater tots. The only downside would probably be finding parking, but give that you’re in Downtown that’s sort of a normal thing. Also super bonus, this locations Unilocal account is amazing. If you want to know what you’re going to be eating look through their amazing photo gallery which has a plethora of great photos.

SERVICE The service was great. The cashier who took our order was generous and patient and he accommodated the menu a bit to fit what we wanted(he added bacon on our Cheese Tots to make them Loaded Tater Tots) FOOD The food was amaaaaazing. I had the Frieburger and my boyfriend got The Hangover. Both had a fried egg in it and his had chili and mine had French fries and it was served on a 2×2 Kings Hawaiian bread. It was delicious. The tater tots were really good. I LOVE potatoes and I almost cried again when I put these in my mouth LOL. ASKTHEMTOADDBACONONTHECHEESETOTS. I promise it’s really good. AMBIENCE It’s very downtown-y. Like really chill and it has cute pictures on the wall. There’s plenty of space to sit inside and outside. It’s mostly benches and stools though. But my favorite part is that on the benches, it says«hot buns» or «sweet buns» I thought that was a funny touch. I think the only thing is that it gets pretty loud inside, but I don’t think it’s too bad. OVERALL I would definitely come back. This is actually my second time at a Dog Haus. My first was in the Fullerton location. But yeah, this place is a must

This is the second Dog Haus location that I’ve been to, after the one in Pasadena. They’re franchises, not a chain, so you can expect a few variations between the locations. For example, the Long Beach version, while the same delicious food, doesn’t have the same awesome local beer selection that I was expecting(point off for that, sorry guys). During this visit, I succumbed to the chili cheese dog temptation and wasn’t disappointed. Meaty, delicious chili, a really awesome brat underneath, and that same sweet bread that I was really looking forward to. My mom, despite it being her first time at DOG Haus, got a cheeseburger, but we’ll try to forgive her for that. Hers was also delicious – juicy, flavorful meat, melty delicious cheese, and some pretty rockin’ grilled onions. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area as it’s still an excellent hot dog. Or burger, if you’re going to be one of *those* people.

We finally made it here. I’ve been to Dog Haus in Alhambra but this is closer. They go from simple dog on bun to the grand slam which is very busy. They got several choices which I need to try more of, but they have option for every body including vegan brats. I think the biggest draw I have is their use of the Hawaiian rolls as a bun. That’s not to say the dogs were lacking, quite the opposite. I’m just saying these buns work great with anything you put on them.

It’s about time they put a hot dog spot in DTLB. I’m a sucker for a good hot dog and now I can walk down the street to get my fix. The menu here is great — there’s lots of dogs to choose from as well as burgers, corn dogs, onion rings, and TOTS! Good ol regular tots, cheese tots, and chili cheese tots. The beer is great and make sure you come during happy hour to get the buy one get one free deal. I did take one star off because I don’t like that you have to make line to buy your food. I wish it was a more traditional set up where a server gets you a table and a menu. If I want another beer or a dipping sauce or tots, I gotta get up and make line again. No Bueno.

To start off, I stood in line for over 10 minutes when there was only one person ahead of me due to either low staffing or the inability for people to multitask. The cashier had to make about 4⁄5 milkshakes and deliver them on her own so we had to wait for her to finish. When it’s my turn to order I asked her for her opinion on the holy aioli versus the cheeseburger. Her response«well a cheeseburger is a cheeseburger so.» Wow. So helpful. She seemed irritated that I asked her about the menu so I just went with the holy aioli, tater tots, the burger slider and two corn dog sliders. All comes out to around 16 $. When are food arrives the first thing we noticed is that it was SOAKED in oil. They didn’t even try to soak some of it up. It was seeping through their cardboard plates. My boyfriend was already irritated by the cashiers attitude so we didn’t bother asking them to remake it, which by wandering around to different tables it seems to be a common practice. The holy aioli was good other then it being soggy from the excess grease. The corn dog sliders were burnt and the burger slider was inedible due it being soggily soaked in grease. Tater tots are tater tots(haha) they were decent but I didn’t eat any at the bottom. All in all I had some high hopes for this place due to the reviews but we most likely won’t be returning.

Came here twice now… The first time was a very bad experience because we waited 40 minutes for our food! They did not even warn us about the wait time for the food, mind you i was hungry when I ordered the food. When I received the food I was starving! The lady said they were down some cooks and that its no usually like this.(Thanks for letting us know after 40 minutes) couldn’t have warned us beforehand??? Luckily for their sake the food was really good. Or maybe because I was already starving? So… A couple weeks later I come back and try this place out again. This time I asked the cashier how long it will take to get my food. She replied«10 minutes» so i said perfect. The food was fast this time. I ordered the soo cali dog which I personally think is the best dog and also the scott baoli(idk how its spelled but you get what I mean) I also ordered cheese tots which had wayyyy too much cheese for my taste. I didn’t eat all of this by myself okay, I shared it just FYI. Anyways I’m glad I decided to give this place another shot.

Ordered the Old Town dog n chili cheese tater tots. Cost me about $ 12 with no drink. First time here so I didn’t mind to much. Even though I think it’s pretty pricey for two stuff. First of all, the cashier was no help. She didn’t even smile or greet us. It is not hard to say hello, welcome to haus dog but yeah she looks like she dont even want to work there. She looks like a grumpy ol lady who hates her job. However, the other girl who brought the food out to table was way better than the cashier. She smile The Old Town dog sound so good off the menu. However, I was kind of disappointed of the flavor. The hotdog itself was pretty good but the toppings was very BLAND. The mixtures of smoked bacon wrapped dog, caramelized onions, roasted jalapeños, chipotle aioli, cotija cheese sounds so yummmmmmy but it wasnt. There was no flavors burst or kick in it. The only thing I taste was the hotdog and the bacon but everything else was blah. However, the chili cheese tater tots was pretty good. The chili sauce was perfect. Top off with cheese and green onion was just a perfect touch. You could taste all the ingredients and flavor. I wish it was a little cheaper tho. The environment was pretty chill. It was like a kicking spot you can hangout with your friends. The reason why I gave this place a 2 stars was because of the cashier, the flavor of the hotdog and the over price food.

«Open up the champagne, pop! It’s my haus, come on, turn it up» –Second time around, my posse & I decided to check them out on a Saturday night. We didn’t even care hitting up any of the bar lounges on Pine… DHB is where it’s poppin’! «Hear a knock on the door and the night begins Cause we done this before so you come on in Make yourself at my haus, tell me where you been Pour yourself something cold, baby, cheers to this» –Line up to order first, pay & then seat yourselves! Ordering was so easy and quick, I love how simple the menu is. Also, finding a table was no problem. The staff were welcoming and friendly, from beginning to end. «Sometimes you gotta stay near And you know where I be Yeah, you know where that is Sometimes you gotta stay near, near» –Beach City is the place to be, to grub! I love how stress-free parking is! I can’t complain with 2 hours free parking across the street. Way better than being in LA or the OC. Just depends. «Welcome to my haus Baby take control now We can’t even slow down We don’t like to go out Welcome to my haus Play that music too loud Show me what you do now We don’t like to go out Welcome to my haus Welcome to my haus» –Our dogs for the evening: Scott Baioli with a side of sweet potato fries, Bad Mutha Clucka with a side of fries && last but not least, the Grand Slam upgraded to a polish kielbasa! Anything is possible up in this haus. Whatever you like, they’ll do for you! You don’t have to go too far. «Morning comes and you know that you wanna go back Close your bookmarked page, let’s pretend that the time has changed Keep the check-in going, open up champagne Let’s continue tonight, come on, celebrate» –We’d most likely be back for another round this week! We enjoyed everything, the chef doesn’t disappoint. Whatever they’re doing with these dogs on the griddle and slappin’ in between these sweet Hawaiian buns, they’re doing it right! «Welcome to my haus It’s my haus!» –If you love wieners, try DHB! I highly recommend them.

Long Beach is a pet loving city, and we lovingly welcome(a) Dog Haus to its shores. Its fresh appeal is in its indulging ingredients, sharp spices, nom nom-names, carefree-casualness and its cleanliness. Never has a dog had a beef here in Long Beach, both are good. I recognize its creativity and chuckle at its humor, found within — «Another Night In Bangkok» is spicy Thai currywurst, Asian slaw, and crushed peanuts while«Bad Mutha Clucka» is chicken Fontina, basil, with a sun-dried tomato aioli. You can top them too — Premium Toppings of haus chili or pastrami are $ 1.99 Overall, it works — hot dogs; haus sausages; and hamburgers. Fries; tots; shakes. #Cheat Days or was that #Happy Days? — So says«The Fonz» a spicy Italian sausage, with pastrami and melted mozzarella.

Dear dog yes! Welcome to the neighborhood! The Pig and the Fig. Cheese in a sausage, with arugula, sliced almonds, and more? Yes. Yes. Yes. I will be the first to admit I’m a Wurstkuche fan, but Dog Haus may have turned me to the dark side. The burgers are intriguing, so of course I must return to try them all. It would be interesting to see alternative proteins outside of the norm here(not sure of that’s their thing). But so far, I love it here.

Went to this place with an appetite and it managed to deliver, the hotdogs here are really delicious. The deciding dog at the time was the downtown dog that came with somked bacon wrapped dog, roasted bell peppers, caramelized onions, ketchup, and mustard for the prize of only $ 5.40 or somewhere close to that. Will definitely be coming to this place again, I mean come on I haven’t even tried their burgers yet but at this point anything I say can be an excuse to come to this place. Long beach welcomes you dog haus and may thy humans be blessed with fine food.

Ummmmmm DELICIOUS!!! My Pig and the Fig with vegan apple sausage was so good I thought I was going to die of ecstasy while eating it. The soft and delicately grilled bread!!! And the tots!!! First off, I have to say that they were really helpful at the front when I was ordering. I wanted to order Das Brat but one of the chefs came over and informed me of the bacon content of a couple of the ingredients. I was thankful and impressed and took one of his other recommendations. And a good one it was! My husband got the sooooooo cali with a veggie dog and enjoyed it. We also tried the fries. Also deliciousness. The whole experience was smooth and everyone working there was nice and helpful. We went at 11:30 toward the beginning of lunch and that seemed to be a sweet spot because as we left the line started to lengthen. I was excited to see that they have veggie sliders. Can’t wait to go back! I can’t say that I’m even a «hot dog person» — I mean, I don’t even eat traditional hot dogs — but with the veggie/vegan options… this is one of my new favorite spots!

I ordered«the Cowboy» with a bratwurst sausage, the brat wasn’t too flavorful and it was chewy. Bacon was also low on flavor. The crispy onions were not good, the bbq sauce also tasted like cheaper sauce, the fresh bread bun was nice. The fries and the cheese tots are good. I spent 11.50 food here should cost closer to 6 – 8 a combo, I will buy the cheese tots and fries again but not the hot dogs.

Went in today to check out the new spot and I gotta say they don’t have it together. Me and my husband ordered the same thing. The cowboy with the bbq sauce on the side and my daughter got a kids meal. Both of our dogs came out cold but the kids meal did come out with the cheese melted on top. The cheese was still a whole slice that I could just pull off. So I kindly ask if they can just put in the microwave to melt the cheese. The response I got is this one is not served with melted cheese and they don’t have a microwave. He says let me do something for u. Came back to me. It was half way melted. Ok I’ll take that. Then the crispy onions on top seem to be from the frenches can u can buy at the store. Not fresh. Never got the bbq sauce. I had to go back again to get it. This poor girl running around by herself serving the food. She needed help. The only good thing that I give 1star for was the crispy cheese tots. The worse of it all is by the time we got home me and my husband are taking turns using the bathroom. And we both only ate 1⁄3 of the dog. So $ 30 left us hungry and gave us bathroom issues. Well atleast my dog got a good meal from the DOGHAUS. They definently need some training from one of the other locations. We have been to another one and loved it. We are gonna have to give it a few months to get themselves together. Sucks because we where excited one close to home was opening.

Second visit this weekend and I see plenty more in my future. The lines are except for the ones inside in front of the counter. I think the hold up is that the patrons are overwhelmed by the plethora of options. I ordered the Old Town Dog for myself and this creation is awesome. The flavors are well balanced. The tender jalapeños are smoky and charred and piled high. The sweet caramelized onions suit the dog along with the creamy chipotle aioli. Great spicy flavor which I still added Sriracha to. Did I forget to mention the glorious bacon wrapped hot dog? Check. And the crumbled cotija cheese? Check. I should of asked for more cheese but it was still great. The aroma of the cheese is mouth-watering. The Beef Corn Dig is lightly battered which is a good thing. There is definitely more beef than batter in this thing. Great for dipping or on the go. The Love Boat fries are ridiculous. Hot fries, covered in Haus Chili, and topped with Haus Slaw. Mind blown! The Haus chili is honestly some of the best chili I have tried in a long time. I wish they would sell that stuff in a cup because I would buy that for dipping with chips or veggies or my fingers alone. My goal is to try everything the menu. So I will be back soon Dog Haus LB.

Got turned down on Friday when they were having free hot dog’s because they ran out of supplies which is understandable. I saw their free burrito advertisement on Saturday and Sunday which was a waste of time because the offer was no longer available. They could have at lest informed the people waiting outside so as not to waste their time.

Do not wear your best clothes to eat this guy. Beef patty, fried egg, bacon, chili, melted cheese and mayo. Great! The Mrs ordered the downtown dog which was filling and delicious. Cost about $ 20 for 2 mains 2 sides and 2 drinks. All in all great place to eat. Only mark down was I ordered pickles relish & jalapeños on my burger which were left off.

LETMETELLYOU, this place has THEBEST vegan dogs you have ever tasted. I’m sure I was mistaken but it’s absolutely 100% vegan. It tastes so fresh and like a real sausage dog. Absolutely worth every dime. OMG I CANTFORGET they serve it on … HAWAIIANROLLS !!! You can have any dog or burger subbed for vegan/vegetarian options. How considerate is that?!! OH I also had their Ava Maria burger(V) and it was without a doubt amazing. I teared up a little when I bit into it. The cheese is bold and the party is perfectly flavored and juicy. Mind you, their portions are kind of hefty. I had plenty of left overs! Very proud of this establishment. I will more than likely come back and more than likely with more friends. Great place. I tried the So Cali Vegan Italian & Smoked Apple Haus Dog, Cheese Tots, Onion Rings, and Ava Maria Burger.

Spent and hour and a half(10:30am-12pm) on grand opening day for a free dog. I was thinking they were nuts for offer free food in downtown LB. I had to wait in line behind a couple interesting-smelling gentlemen with no teeth, so yeah, this hot dog had to be worth it. All in all, the staff seemed to have their stuff together and had seemed to have done enough grand openings that it ran smoothly despite a long wait. I ordered the Sooo Cali dog(arugula, basil aoli, crispy onions, avo, and tomato) — great presentation, it was well-composed, a good balance of textures and flavors(sweet toasted bun, savory wiener, crunchy onions, refreshing arugula and tomato, etc.). The tots were golden brown, crispy, and hot. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff with smiles who dropped off the food and made sure everyone had what they needed. Amazing considering the sh*t show that grand openings can be. I don’t go out of my way for hot dogs and sausages because I’m a burger person, but that was a damn tasty dog. Next time I’ll come in for a burger and shake.
