The worst Chinese food I’ve ever tried, the food was rotten and 0 hygiene. I would not recommend this place not even to worse enemy. P.s I had to put a rating but I wouldn’t even rate this place one star

Worst customer service there all about their money and not their customers! I went back after a year not going to get some of their pot stickers and egg rolls they were hard from the inside seems to me like they had been under the heating light for too long. Should have known better after I heard a customer complaining about other food there that was too over cooked dry and no flavore. I called to speak to a manager the girl who answer said they had no mangers and that the owner was never there !! very sad … who knows if she lied but saddest thing is I tried to get an other plate or at least fix my problem she said no refund no more food you take what you get me sorry k bye exactly what she told me I hung up the phone speechless I can’t believe their customer service if I could I would give them a 0 wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Ate the buffet — everything was«tepid», at best — probably would have been good, if hot, or at least warm! When complained food was cold, their response was«if it’s kept hot, it gets dry»…well…that’s lame, I don’t think the SOUP would get dry if it was hot! We won’t be going back… I’ve eaten buffets that were hot and not dry! And, I might add, the fish tank is deplorable, filthy and very sad for the poor fish. This is what greets you when you enter. The people that work there are very nice — no offense to them!

Good spot for some good Chinese. I recommend for families. The portions are amazingly huge. So they the get a star for that. The staff is super nice and yes there is a star for that as well. They deliver and yep I am giving a star for that as well. CONS: The fish tank… Sometimes the food is cold in the buffet. So for each of those I took away star. Lots of parking and great for parties. Their hours are on point too! They are open decently late on the weekends.

I used to eat here when I wanted Chinese food but, with the ownership change… No more for me! I didn’t know the owners changed and I got some food to go. It was terrible! No flavor, low quality, inside the restaurant was very dark, and the grill was closed! I got so sick from my food and I was up all night. Do not eat here!

Had the serve-yourself dinner buffet here last night – and it was not very good. Food selection and quality has declined substantially here over the last year or two. This place used to publish discount coupons in the local advertiser paper, but they stopped that at least a year ago. Also, last night, I noticed that they no longer included sushi in the buffet, and there were very few shrimp dishes and other high-end offerings. Much of the food was dipped and fried, and most of it was cold. The buffet is really not worth the price anymore.

China King Buffet changed ownership and now food is very bland. I pick up plate and there is oily substance on bottom. Shrimp tasted spoiled. Just a few items were ok. Lady was nice, service good, but food not as good as previous mgmt. I asked her if they kept the same recipe as previous owner, she said they want to do it their own way. Bathroom still gross. Zài yě bù(never again)

Seriously!!! They served all hard as rock left over foods from lunch… maybe from yesterday. They charged $ 12.99 for dinner. the worst chinese buffet in the world! Calamari is like a rubber, one piece of burned ginger fish, and 3 scoops of left over noodles.2 pcs of sugar donuts without sugar on it. its been sitting i guess for many hours there. The manager, she’s been walking around observing how many guests .and maybe shes calculating how many pieces of meat and shrimp they will serve .then i finally decided to ask her where’s the food, she said«you have to wait.“Wait for how long, weve been sitting for one hour but they havent refill or added any food. Desert at least… shpuld be decent… marshamllow with syrup, sliced banana with syrup and canned fruits. my son asked for ice cream. but wait ice cream machine is broken too? So i finally saw my BF he has the crunchy salt pepper shrimp .so i stand up to help myself .but zero .no more shrimp i think they only served 5 pcs ! Soo… mad will neverrrr go back!!! im even hesitant to give one star. FYI this is my first time to write a review… to warn customers dont get fooled by beautiful name super king and their outside décor

In short: pretty good Chinese buffet. Saw a lot of negative reviews for this joint but decided to stop by anyway because: Chinese buffet. I had a pretty good experience. The staff was friendly, although when I first arrived the doors were open but they said they were running late getting the food ready, and to come back in 20 mins. To their credit, there were no posted hours and the open sign was not illuminated. I was just hungry! I came back 20 mins later, and was seated immediately by the friendly staff. The food was good for buffet style food. If you come to a buffet an expect something else, and then complain, I have no sympathy for you. Everything I tried here was very good, and FRESH. A lot of people have described the food as leftovers but that was not my experience at all. A lot of buffets I avoid the veggies cause they look stale and old, but I ate tons of fresh delicious zucchini, carrots, and celery from the shrimp dish. Very good! Also I ate a beef thing that was very good. Not sure exactly what it was because some of the items were mislabeled. It said it was pork, and it was clearly beef. Not uncommon thing to find in buffets, though. The restaurant itself was clean. The décor is dated, and they didnt turn on all the lights? Not sure what that was about. Didn’t feel like the place was fully open. I had to use the restroom, which resulted in my having to make my way through a dark maze hallway– a little scary– but when I found the bathroom, I felt that it was kept in good order. Overall, if your looking to fill your Chinese buffet fix, and you’re in Lompoc, this place will do it. Clean, good food, and friendly staff, can’t ask for much more. If your looking for something a little above that, I understand, but give this place a fair shake on what it is, not what you want it to be. I’d probably do three stars for this place, because I think the open-but-not-open thing was a little weird, and not having all the lights on(generally never feeling fully open) was also of putting. Also the BBQ part that is supposed to be included was never operating in my visit. HOWEVER, because I think there are some unfair one star reviews I’m trying to knock up their average a bit with an extra star. The food is good, guys.

Don’t eat here if you don’t want to get sick for like 4 days. wouldn’t recommend and will never go back. This place has made me give up buffets entirely. The service was good. That’s why they’re getting the one star.

This place has really gone downhill. The food was old, and when u get the BBQ it is over cooked. They need to clean off the grill before they cook it fresh, so it doesn’t taste like the last meal they prepared. Service was fine, food was not.

The buffet is great, a lot of choices and nice artwork, capturing the Chinese culture. The food was great and I recommend to get the cut chicken curry, most delicious and it had the right spice to it.

I was a fan, well not anymore! I won’t be coming back here, unless I am not paying. We came here Friday dinner, all they have are old dishes, prolly leftovers from lunch time. My wife complained about it, instead of doing something about, it was ignored. Totally disappointed!!!

I have never left a Unilocal before, but this food was so bad that it forced me to start. Okay, here goes. My friend M and I orderd delivery on Sunday night. We got beef fried rice(?), orange chicken, and vegetable rolls. Okay, delivery was prompt, price was a bit higher than expected, but I blamed the economy. We were hungry, so with almost no hesitation we dug in! Now, we both ate pretty quickly, but then M said, «does this smell funny to you?», pointing at the«beef fried rice». I didn’t think so, but I had a stuffy nose! So we continued eating, when much to my suprise M started vomiting onto his plate! While it may seem like I left something out right there, I haven’t. Ine second he was eating, the next he was vomiting. So naturally I went outside! I don’t have a weak stomach, but I was just in the middle of eating! So, about 5 – 10 minutes later, he was done vomiting and I had come back inside. And then all of a sudden, I had to run to the bathroom! Now it was my turn to give the porcelain god my stomach contents. Now, during the day, the darkest thing I had eaten or drank was the beef. I didn’t put soy sauce on the rice, nor teriyaki, nor did I drink root beer or coke or something. Wanna know the scariest part of this whole debacle? My vomit was pitch black. Like I was puking up tar. It was horrible.

The food from the buffet was okay. I felt kinda sick and wanted to vomit sometimes. However, the service was friendly. I really like the way the restaurant looks & for that I can recommend it but would stay from the buffet. Maybe ordering from the menu may be really good. I like the versatility. I’d recommend for gluttonous eating but not for quality.

Leftovers!!! Almost all the food at the lunch buffet has the taste and texture of food cooked last night? And then warmed up for lunch? How can the sushi rice be so tough if it was just made a few hours ago? An why are the chicken wings so tough? And the duck so tasteless and tough? Face it China King, leftover food looses a lot of flavor and texture! I’d skip this joint and the other Chinese buffet in town as they’re both crappy.

Ordered on a Sunday evening since it was basically the only non-pizza delivery option. The food was marginal. Not inedible but not particularly good either. Portions were appropriate. We got pot stickers, orange chicken, general Tso and wonton soup. Don’t see us ordering again. Was told it would take 45 min and it was almost to the dot.

Well this place«Highly Recommended» by the desk guy checking us in at the Comfort Inn, he said it was the best of the two in Lompoc so we went. As we entered my wife says«Did you see the dead fish in the tank?» Of course all I could think if was«Where’s the Kung Poa» I should have listened. The waitress was less than friendly, her and one of the cooks seem to get into a loud heated argument, my daughters soda glass was sent back for being very dirty. Some of the food was salty other was tasteless, basically I do not recommend this restaurant.
