Ok… I am from San Francisco Bay Area and wanted to try a recommended Mexican restaurant. I decided on this place. I only give it two stars because I ordered a Bronco Chimichanga with shredded chicken, but… I received chicken fajita mix inside of a deep fried chimichanga burrito instead. Maybe the cook had made to much fajita mix… I do not know. To the owner: Fire the cook. He will hurt your business as I am sure you do not know what he is doing to change the menu to suit his work load. Only gook cooks make great restaurants. Bad cooks will kill your business reputation. The waitress service was totally 5 star. I felt very comfortable giving her a nice tip. To the owner. Keep the very nice pleasant waitress. She made my visit great despite the food games. I hope she gets to keep the entire tip.

My wife had the chile verde plate which she said was very good. I had a steak and shrimp burrito that was absolutely inedible. The shrimp portion was ok but the steak was the most gristle and fat and disgusting beef I could have ever imagined. I don’t think I would fed that to my dogs. Send it back for some chicken tacos which were okay. We weren’t charged for my meal. Credit the waitress for that… Probably won’t be back again.

One of the best restaurants in town! My husband and I go here 3 – 4 times a month. The staff is always helpful and welcoming(especially Jess!) the food and drinks are great too!

Fairly standard Mexican restaurant with a bar. In terms of looks, this place is the most festive in the area with the paintings, tiles, and decorations. I like that salsa they serve, even if it’s just mild. I can’t recommend the guacamole, but I’m a bit picky. I like just some avocado with salsa mixed into it and I think they add sour cream to it. I believe most foodies find this to be an unnecessary step. I highly recommend the chicken Molcajete, not the beef. Why? The chicken comes out tender and juicy, while the beef gets tough and overdone. I love my carne medium rare. And that’s really hard to get in restaurants where the beef is a really thin cut.

The steak was extremely fatty. The spices were decent, however the originality of Mexican was mediocre at best. The restaurant could use an update and a deep cleaning. Perhaps it was an off night…

Excellent and cheery atmosphere; I felt like I was in the gulf coast. I also had a friendly server, A. Abad. I came at 1300 on a Thursday and there seven other tables. She was the only server on the floor but she was attentive and kind. I came here in the blind(so to speak) upon verbal accolades from some coworkers. I should have read some reviews because I was expecting a taqueria format, but it’s actually a full service restaurant. Nevertheless I ordered pollo asado tacos and left the restaurant satisfied, but not blown away(so to speak). I’m generally a taco consumer so I probably won’t be coming back because there are plenty of other taquerias in Lompoc, but don’t let that discourage you if you’re looking for a full menu. There is enough room to bring your family. They take American Express.

Food is always great! But the serves is always bad… Including this time. My son & man love it so. Here we are. We don’t come often though because of it. It’s a shame too

Festive and traditional family Mexican restaurant. South of the border flair throughout the décor, and restaurant is clean and well maintained. Busy and full of Mexican patrons, a good sign for a Mexican restaurant :-) The margaritas are hand made, reasonably priced, and very good… lots of booze :-) We ordered the Bronco quesadilla and a taco combination plate. They were both very nice :-)

Found a chicken bone in my burrito and when i told the waitress she replied with«well the kitchen is closed» I said fine just take it back and off my bill I am not paying for it. I have never done that before it was a terrible experience.

The food was good. I really like the chili relleno and enchilada plate. They were kind enough to add chicken to my enchilada. The waitress was very friendly and kind. The con that I can say for now is that someone cleaned the booth next to me with a bleach solution that was very strong. It made my eyes water for a while. But on the plus side it’s clean. Lol.

I visited this resturant a few weeks ago and it was ok. The ingredients are par at best. It is better then most of the Mexican Restaurants in Lompoc. In that category, I would rate it a 4.

We ate here because it was close to our hotel. I do not recommend this place. The service was horrible. The food was not good! They forgot to give us salsa for a long while till we had to ask. My family all got there food and were half done by the time I got mine. They put bacon on my vegetarian quesadilla. You would think they would offer to discount my plate but we had to ask so they gave a military discount. They weren’t busy, maybe three other tables.

This is an average Mexican restaurant, they have a small area with TVs where you can enjoy watching sports. They have spicy but delicious chips and salsa, the food is pretty average, not the best but at the same time it isn’t plain like other Mexican places. The staff was friendly. My only complaint was: I ordered a chicken burrito and they gave me a pork burrito.

This place is the ‘go to’ when making a trip to lompoc… Cause let’s face it. No one makes Mexican food like Mexican cooks. Authentic and flavorful, this place will not disappoint. Just make sure you budget time, because either the service or the kitchen is slow.

10÷11÷14 Wanted a place near the hotel to get some goodies and found this place on Unilocal.Literally across the street from the hotel so added bonus after along drive from home. There was plenty of parking and we found a spot right out front. When we came in were were greeted so warmly by a nice young lady who sat us in the back area near the TVs where she was able to get the mlb playoff game on for us to watch. She took our order of drinks and gave us a moment to figure out what we wanted. When she brought over our drinks we both ordered our food. I got the chicken enchiladas with rice which was super yum!!! The bartender who happened to be our waitress’ mother came to check on us to see how we liked our drinks and saw we needed another round and got those margaritas pretty quickly. The staff is just so super friendly. They really try to make sure you are taken care of and we really appreciated that. I would definitely check this place out again if we are in town.

Overall, the mexican food is pretty standard here. Before this visit, I thought the Burrito Bronco was pretty good and I’d rate the restaurant 3 stars. I got the Molcajete this time and it was phenomenal. Awesome grilled flavor in the skirt steak, tender roasted cactus, fresh mexican cheese, grilled tomatoes and new onions, and a great spicy sauce. Comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas and rice/beans on the side. The molcajete achieved such depth of flavor, it was unforgettable. Comes in a hot lava rock. You can split this with someone else and eat it like fajitas. That, plus their premium margaritas, and you’ll be in heaven. So, the one complaint I have is that our party had 33 people – and one waitress. It wasn’t a complete disaster, but the delay in getting our food was rather significant. This speaks for itself. Overall, standard Mexican joint with a few standouts on the menu bring this to 4 stars.

Honestly, this place had the worse Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life and I love Mexican food! I have no idea why we even decided to give this place a try. I ordered a cadallic margarita and I’m pretty sure it was not parton. I am very sensitive to cheap liquor and I was very sick for 4 days and had to go to urgent care on the 4th day. It was unreal! The guacamole tasted like lettuce and looked like green slime with chunks of «vegetables» in it. I did take a picture and post it. There was nothing in there that tasted or looked like avocado. I also found it quite strange that the rice and beans were INSIDE my burrito. Rice and beans are staple side items. I did read afterwards that those things go inside, but still. The service wasn’t bad and they took off the guacamole. ICK!

I’ve been here five times & I’ve had really great service but the last time I was here(last month) they had no chips & salsa. That was probably the only reason I went but any-who, the waitress didn’t even offer to help with the inconvenience with a dessert or something but to my dismay she didn’t even apologize. Also, she came by twice to our table never asking how we were, how the food was & never gave us any refills. Definitely not coming back.

WOW! This is some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had, who’d have expected it in Lompoc. The restaurant is pretty large, and well decorated. Our server was exceptional– she was attentive, offered suggestions for food, and provided us an overall great time. At the waitresses recommendation I ordered the Mocajete dish. This amazingness is representative of the basalt rock dish that stays super hot and keeps its contents hot too. Mine was filled with a very generous portion of shrimp, grilled nopales, and a delicious and rich sauce. Served with tortillas and rice and beans, this was an incredible feast! Everyone at the table was pleased with their dinners. It was served hot, appeared fresh and an all around great meal. I would definitely return here next time I’m in Lompoc.
