I patronize this restaurant once a week. My meal is consistently good. The fattoush tawook salad with dressing on the side(it gets soggy if they put it on) is my favorite. I can usually get 2 – 3 meals out of that one salad alone!

I can only speak for the carryout aspect, but I’ve never been let down by the food or the customer service. The staff is knowledgeable, the cooks are really damn good at their jobs, and the food is excellent.

I had the chicken sheesh tawook and it was absolutely amazing. The chicken was so juicy and tender. The grilled carrots and veggies were amazing also. The carrots are huge. We also had the spicy hummus it was like a creamy but it could have been a little spicier. The garlic paste is so so so good. A real garlic paste because it tasted like real garlic cloves were in there. The service could have been much better. They forgot to bring out my finances salad after 10 minutes of everyone else starting to eat. Service needs to be better but overall food was amazing.

Worst customer service skills ever. Staff is rude on the phone, rude in person. Absolutely ridiculous wait times.

Just came here for my birthday lunch and mistakingly ordered something thinking it was something else. When it was mentioned to our waitress she kindly switched out the meal for what I actually wanted and had it wrapped to go. Great food and even better customer service!

I went here when I was visiting Detroit to interview for a job at a local Medical School. I found the food to be quite good. The lamb soup was wonderful. The lamb shawarma was simply amazing. The rice was excellent. The sauces were wonderful. The ambience of the place was very good. The wait staff was excellent and professional.

It was about a year since Ive been to Sheesh and really wanted Arabic food. We arrived around 5:30 on a Tuesday night with only a few people in the restaurant. I ordered the Fatoosh salad with chicken shawarma with a side of garlic paste for the bread. My son ordered standard chicken tenders and fries. The bread was warm and good but the garlic was sour– not creamy and fresh. It was not suitable for consumption. We waited 25 minutes for our food only to have my salad served before my sons tenders. The salad did not have pita chips on it and the shawarma was bland. The chicken was dark meat and rubbery. My sons tenders and fries were average. The waitress was pleasant but just fresh out of high school so not very experienced. I will never eat at Sheesh again and II highly recommend you pass on this place. If you want descent Arabic food, I suggest you to drive to dearborn.

Pretty solid. Went here for lunch for the first time today. Food: Tasted fresh and delicious. They give you a nice serving of fresh baked pita bread initially, and if you ask, they give you a tasty garlic spread that goes on it. I had the lunch special entrée lamb schwarma which was tasty. The salad was also pretty good as well. Service: Fast, friendly. Prices: good value for lunch: entrees with soup/fries/rice/salad(choice of 2) somewhere around 8 – 9 bucks. Ambiance: actually feels like a sit down restaurant a bit– certainly not upscale but tastefully decorated and reasonably nice inside. Overall, a solid choice for some tasty Middle Eastern food at reasonable prices.

While the food is really good. I don’t like how they try to nickel and dime you on the sides of garlic and tahini sauce

My family ordered carry out today, and not only was the lettuce wilted and soggy in the fatoosh salad, but there was GARBAGE in the salad! The end of a lemon, and a wrinkled up yellow receipt! Absolutely disgusting!!! Aside from this repulsive salad, we requested chicken well done, which appears by your standards to mean completely burned! I am certain the Department of Health would not approve of recycled or unsanitary food! See photos attached. What a shame, as my family has relied on Sheesh as a halal restaurant. You have lost a lot of business from my family, friends and co-workers. If i could rate as zero, i would… Complete failure

My family and I went there once and ordered their chicken shawarma. When it came out it looked like a pile of mush on our plates and tasted like we were eating cardboard. Which was a bummer because everyone told us it was amazing. maybe we went to the wrong one. Other than that their lentil soup was amazing and I could not get enough of the hummus. But it is not enough for us to come back any time soon.

Great baba ganoush!!! I like the veg combo for 2 if you are into that kind of thing. The rest of the food is sometimes hit and miss. The meat is often dry. Also service is slow and not very attentive. There is one waitress in particular that if you get her you can just forget it your time inside has doubled. But the baba really is great! If you are only eating hummus at Arabic places you are missing out!

Colorful tapestry, rich fabrics, and bright paintings adorn the walls. Music played softly in the background. The basket of oven-fresh pita bread was a nice welcome to this ornately decorated restaurant. Warm and flavorful, the pita bread was a nice delivery system for the baba ghanoush. I happen to be a huge fan of the smoky and chunky eggplant taste. The puffed pita bread was also nice with the garlic paste sauce that had a deliciously distinctive bite. I could have made a meal solely of that bread basket. For entrée, I had the shawarma combo, which included both chicken and beef. This was served with a choice of soup and salad, and fries, rice, or grilled vegetables. I selected the latter — the carrots and green peppers had a nice charred taste, but I was not fond of the onions. There was just too much of it. The salad was cold, fresh, and vinegary, working well with the various flavors and spices of the meal. Portion wise, there was so much food that I ended up with 3 evenings worth of leftovers which made dinner very affordable and me very happy. Service was friendly and quick.

First time, great food, nice interior, clean bathrooms, slower service but they were busy, served the deboned still pink and had to go back, better after it was sent back

This is my go to place for a quick dinner or a take out when in Livonia. All food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is homous lamb with fatoush salad. If you are ordering out make sure to ask for the garlic spread that they serve at the restaurant with the bread.

An unexpected experience in Lavonia, MI. I had the baked Kibbee. I was served a large salad that came with the meal. The dressing was amazing. Simple olive oil, vinegar and a hint of lemon juice. The salad was very fresh and very tasty. The Kibbee was served as a very large portion. Two people could split this plate and walk away full. The restaurant was clean and the people were friendly. What more could you ask for?

How many freaking times can a place mess up a take out order — well this place can do it A LOT!)the first few times we would call, and return the food– BTWSAMEFREAKINGGIRLMAKINGTHEMISTAKE– but I’ve already spent time and gas getting there then home that we stopped doing it. When we called to inform of the error the girl would get an attitude about it and act like its our fault that she’s too busy chatting with other employees or checking her phone that she doesn’t check the bag before handing it to the customer. I’m done. Their food is good, but so are other places in the area — and cheaper

Good food. Decent portions. I love the bread. The pita bread here I’d a little thicker and doughy which I love. The only reason the get four stars instead of 5 is lemon oregano needs to be given with more sauce. They up charge $ 1.00 for lemon oregano and I feel I scrape the plate to get sauce on my chicken. Also, once when I went in on a Sunday evening and walked in to do a carry out, he took two orders on the phone and I had to wait to continue to place my order so he could get the phone orders. I was in the middle of giving my order and had to pause. I do realize the get busy, but it was strange. But, I love their food and will return.
