Love the roasted beans here. Coffee done right. I love a deep roast and make my own blend. The staff here always get it right. They also make a great pulled espresso. If you’re not sure about what to drink or what beans might brew your type of joe they’ve got the knowledge to help. Places to sit can be scare at times so come early or after ten if you wanna kick.

This is LONG overdue! All around amazing place to be when you are in need of that coffee or tea fix. Staff is not only friendly, kind, generous, caring, funny, talented, informative and upbeat but they also make you feel right at home. Environment is the bees knees. Not only is there plenty of space inside the outside seating gives you optimal views of beautiful downtown Livermore. Free wifi, and clean establishment also helps make Peet’s one of the only spots worth coming to. Our favorite talented coffee creator is Mason setting us up. When asked if we want any other coffee my husband will say«If it ain’t Peets, it isn’t worth it»

The holiday blend is 15% off today. I enjoyed a nice chat with the employee about which beans in the blend impart which flavored and textures.

Nice, quiet, but busy coffee shop. Maybe that’s not the right term, but they make a great cup of coffee — and it’s actually quiet enough to put a cellphone on speaker to have a conference call. On both accounts, unlike Starbucks and their hip elevator music. Nice selection and variety of food available. Nice people there, too.

I visited from out of town a few weeks ago and came to Peet’s for an iced tea and ended up leaving one of my shopping bags behind, thankfully the manager placed my bag in the back. Since I live almost 2 hours away I wasn’t planning to go back to Livermore for a while and the manager was so very kind and generous to ship my bag to me! She wouldn’t even let me pay for it, I am so thankful for her and her kindness! I highly recommend Peet’s because they truly care about their customers. Thank you again!

My review is about the product not the service and I want to make it clear from the start. I am into good quality loose leaf tea for many years, not coffee. So those who are coffee lovers, can skip this review. For many years Peets was my FAVORITE place to hang out with book, study for exams, business meetings etc. With pot of very good loose leaf green tea #1 reason — great quality loose leaf teas, combined with Wifi option and pleasant setting. Yesterday I came by as usually and ordered my favorite«Dragon Well» green tea. I want to say that over years I introduced about 20 of my friends to good tea, how to drink it etc.(Which very often is a challenge even for people who work in Peets and suppose to be trained in this properly). So the answer was: sorry we just switch to Mighty Leaf brand and now we have almost the same tea but from Mighty Leaf. First of all I felt little bit offended by this statement. It would be tha same as saying: we have Budweiser in can but t tastes almost the same as draft German beer, if you know what I mean. Assuming right away that your customer is stupid is not nice, for starter. Yeah, and I know very well difference between tea they used to carry and freaking Mighty Leaf. Are you kidding me??? Eventually they found for me left overs they had Kuan Yin tea(another good grean tea). It smoothed my disappointment. This morning I am back to give it last shot before Peets lost me as a customer(and I think many lovers like me as well — very soon, too). I was told that they now have only Mighty Leaf. I decided to try black tea. That is the only one I could accept in Starbucks when Peets was not nearby, when I travel. The guy put one tiny bag of Mighty Leaf Earl Grey(which is twice less that they used to put in a cup before for the same price, and same compare to Starbucks). The taste was cheap as all Mighty Leaf«famous tea» kinds. The only nice part about Migjty Leaf is a cute bag. But not I am not paying for cute bags, sorry. This is unfortunate, but this is my last time in Peets after so many visits over the years, and of course I will share my experience with my friends. So guys, who made this genius marketing decision — stupid decision, HUGE mistake. I guarantee you will keep on loosing customers like me. Well I will now switch to Starbucks(they have great Earl Grey) and for green tea– Chinese tea rooms of course when I am close to them. Good luck with business Peets!

I like Peet’s way better than Starbucks. The coffee just tastes better. I’m really tired of that Pikes Peak crap at Starbucks. I’ll deal with it if there are no other choices for coffee around. I still go to the real original Peet’s where it all started in Berkeley, but now with corporate growth, Peet’s is all over. This location here in Livermore is relatively new. It’s right next door to my fave Taquiria«Tequlia’s». This is pretty convenient, I can hang with a nice cup of coffee after having my fave burrito! The WiFi works well and you don’t need a password anymore. Service is fine since I usually just get house coffee. Not into those fancy overpriced sweet drinks just gimme my cup and I’m happy. I’m not usually out this way, but I was staying in the Livermore area for the weekend a while ago and turns out there is more to see to this town than I thought. This is a nice location for Peet’s. Even outdoor sidewalk seating is nice.

Really HUGE Peet’s coffee with nice staff and great mango infusion tea. I was eyeballing the ginger molasses cookies here, but was too full from lunch. The tea was nice and not too sweet. Definitely refreshing during these hot East Bay Summer days. Would recommend.

I am a fan of Peets over Starbucks the majority of the time. I came to this location and noticed they had these new«mocktail» iced tea drinks. I asked the barista lady if the green tea mojito was sweet or if I could get it less sweet(maybe no sweetener???) and she was like of course! I swear I needed to go to the dentist after taking one sip of that drink. I’m almost certain instead of putting less sweetener in there they put MORE! Ugh I didn’t even drink it.

Mason is a barista master. He can make our cappuccinos are so dry they should, technically, float off the bar. Great service, awesome coffee, and truly a perfect little escape between dropping the kids off at school, and heading off to work.

I have been drinking Peet’s coffee for decades. This review is not about the coffee product that Peet’s sells, but about the poor customer service, «we’re out of coffee beans»(2x in the last two weeks). If a particular person(an espresso machine operator) is there behind the machine, my wife and i just turn around and walk out. This person is not trained to make anything with an espresso machine… its always horrible. This particular store always seem to be understaffed. Had a not-so-friendly encounter with the only person behind the counter. Bye, will not be coming back.

Peets… Are you crazy… I want the Dark Chocolate Freddo back… The Javiva is the most bland drink drink ever concocted for $ 4.50… It’s almost like Coca-Cola in 1985 messing with the formula for Coke… Yes, we know that the price of chocolate is going up… But to have no drinks with chocolate in them is offensive to the chocoholics of the world… I’d rather pay 50 cents more to keep the chocolate in the drinks

I love Peet’s; so much better than Starbucks. The quality of the espresso is world’s above the other guys. I really love the décor and color scheme. The deep, rich browns and references to primitive cultural art(African kuba cloths, Maori tattoo designs, etc) really evoke the spirit of the place. This is Berkley hippie culture made for the modern world. This particular Peet’s location has everything you could want except… parking. Honestly I can’t imagine how much better business here would be if one could easily park nearby. But this is a pervasive issue for downtown so it’s true of all the nearby establishments. I guess the best compliment I could pay this joint is that there used to be a Starbucks one block away near the theater that rolled up shop a few years ago. But Peet’s? Still pulling shots and serving up coffee for coffee lovers!

So I think the drinks are good, my issues come more from a place of «why does Peet’s have the aura of the passport office?» I’ve only ever gotten the green tea latte here(I can’t find anything similar to it elsewhere). It’s delicious! My observation is that it doesn’t have the friendliest atmosphere. The bathrooms require a 5 character key in code to use. Take it easy Peet’s, it’s a bathroom, not a government office. I don’t know what you’re hiding in there that needs coded protection, but you’re doing a great job making me awkwardly have to announce to a barista that I have to pee so I can get the secret password. Also, what’s up with the super tense message that pops up when I use the wifi? It’s something along the lines of «our wifi is only for customers ACTIVELYENJOYING our products. By using our wifi, you agree that you are actively enjoying Peet’s products». I get what you were going for, but it conjures up a mental image that if I stop sipping my beverage or I don’t particularly enjoy it, an employee is going to slap my laptop shut.

They have quinoa salad here! Peet’s used to be one of my favorite coffee places but now I’m afraid to try their drinks, since everything I’ve had so far seems to make me sick — especially the coffee. I have some food allergies and sensitivities so this is probably due to a change in their ingredients, which makes me sad, because the service here is really good. Peet’s has a great selection of fruit juices, though. I like that they have limonata and aranciata. It makes me feel healthier than if I buy a Dr. Pepper from Panama Red down the street. They seem to be making an effort to be health conscious and that definitely stands them apart from Starbucks’ and Red’s carb-laden menu options. I do miss the classical music, though. Peet’s was pretty well known for only playing classical music but lately it seems like they’ve made a switch to soft rock.

A nice break from Starbucks, that’s for sure. I was so glad when they opened because Livermore seemed to be dominated by the big-chain coffee giant, Starbucks, for the longest time. Not that there is anything wrong with Starbucks, I just prefer Peet’s anyday! Peet’s has excellent Jasmine tea & Limeade, my new favorite go-to drink at the moment! Of course you can’t really go wrong with their tea & citrus mixed drinks, because they seem to balance the citrus and the tea perfectly! Not to mention the staff is always super nice. Also, along with customer service, the staff seems pretty efficient since our drinks came out at the drop of a hat! Impressive, considering how busy it was on 4th of July. Also they have free wi-fi, which is nice if you intend on coming here to work/study.

Thank goodness Pete’s is from the East Bay… it really appeases my conscience, knowing it’s not ‘technically’ an evil corporate chain… it’s a local corporate chain! This location is a gem. Spacious & never crowded, free wifi, always air conditioned. What more could a working girl in Livermore ask for? I like sitting in the window looking out at First Street and wondering when I’m going to switch from tea time to wine time. Props for serving Donsuemor madelines(another local brand, made in Alameda!)
