We were looking for a little lunch spot and this small café bakery was perfect. There menu of baked goods, sandwiches, quiche and pastries made our decisions difficult. We decided to return tomorrow ! Pastries were memorable. Yum! Owner/staff so friendly and accommodating.

Amazing Food. But the curly haired lady who works there is so rude. SO Rude. She acts like every customer is a burden. All my coworkers feel the same way about her. It’s a running joke to see if she’ll be pleasant at some point.

This was my first time at this bakery/café. I really enjoyed the food. I’ll give that 4 solid stars. Then there was the service… The one woman at the counter, couldn’t have been more disinterested at helping customers. No… disinterested is the wrong word. She was outright annoyed. We were sitting at one of the tables enjoying our lunch, watching her roll her eyes every single time a customer came in. After countless«thank you“s, you’d think she’d give a «oh you’re welcome» …no. Sorry lady, maybe you had a bad day, but don’t take it out on the customers. Oh, and by the way, we waited about 30 mins before she offered us the check. One more sore point. A woman came into the store and, with her dog, managed to enter the kitchen. Smells like a public health violation. If that’s being a stickler, how about the chef coming out to greet a couple of creditors, wiping his bare hands on his half buttoned(unbuttoned from the bottom halfway up) shirt. This place was just a mess unfolding in front of us. Again, if you’re desperate for a decent lunch or desert, go there… just be forewarned: the service will stink, and you might become best friends with your toilet that night.

This place always has great soup and excellent vegetarian options like veggie and lentil burgers. They also have a good selection of sandwiches and salads. Additionally, they have a wonderful selection of pastries and cakes which are always freshly made. And good service!

My wife had a soup and sandwich there(well tried too). The service seemed fine, but the sandwich had imitation cheese and the soup had a big wad of fat floating in it. Pretty well turned her off after hitting that in the soup.

Wonderful little bakery in downtown Littleton. Excellent choice of soups, many vegetarian options, interesting and delicious eating options. The macaroons are really delicious as well. I would love to see a half sandwich with a cup of soup option and perhaps a bigger coffee selection option. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this bakery and hope to again soon.

Keep your eyes open on Main street or you could miss this place. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in deliciousness. Here’s the local rumor… the owner/chef used to own an upscale eatery in town that has since closed as he wanted to ‘retire’. I’m convinced that is why the food is simply outstanding. The baked goods made by the sisters are incredible. I’m not kidding on the food. Just try a soup and sandwich combination. All white meat chicken salad with any variety of unique home made soups. I’ve had everything from traditional chicken noodle to curry butternut — all bountiful and tasty. And their gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are a favorite, and I’m not even gluten free! Honestly, it can be hit or miss on the service, and the seating is tight. But, really who cares when the food is so good. The best sandwich place in town — hands down.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and had a half sandwich soup combo. The tomato soup was quite tasty and the spicy turkey sandwich unusual, but good. With all the amazing looking desserts we couldn’t leave without trying something and had a piece of orange cake with orange buttercream frosting. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place.

A rare find! Baked goods aficionados rejoice! I am not subject to the contagious hype that often affects reviews on Unilocal, and find it annoying to go to a place that many have raved about only to find it merely bests mediocre.(Polly’s Pancake House in Franconia would be a good example of that). I do not know the owner either… As this is a first review there is nothing to influence my opinion on this delightful Gourmet Bakery. Being a committed Foodie and an accomplished baker myself, I am not easily impressed, however The French Sister’s Bakery and Café has some of the best cakes(available by the slice), I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. We sampled many of their offerings and the three cakes we tried would easily stand out at the top hotels in Boston. They all had a lovely large moist crumb, and real butter cream frosting. No artificial ingredients, neon pastry creams or preservatives here, just gorgeous layers of excellent home-baked goodness. The Italian Cream Cake was a layered affair with large amounts of crunchy toasted pecans, a lovely frosting flavored with nuts and the crumb had a subtle undertone of liquor. Exquisite. The Orange cake was flecked with citrus rind and the icing was beautifully balanced with a little sweet sour citrus note. One of the best ever. The Coconut cake was beautiful, and had great toasted coconut flavor coming through the richness. There was a little too much frosting for my taste but as it was covered in toasted coconut, I am sure many of you will have no issue with that! The Lemon Square, which in my opinion is a good test of a bakery’s capabilities, was simply put: sublime, yummy, wonderful. The Carrot Cake Squares, Ranger Cookies, Crazy Lady cookie, and the Chocolate Hazelnut cookies were also excellent. The fruit scones were a little dry, but had a good amount of tasty fruit and buttermilk flavor. If they could add cream and jam when you order this would solve that problem. Please will someone try the variety of cheesecakes available and review them? I will drive the 25 minutes to go there again from Lincoln NH(loon Mountain) in a heartbeat! Adding espresso drinks would be the cherry on the top, although iced and hot coffee are available. Hours: Mon 10 – 5; Tues-Fri 10 – 6, Sat 10 – 5. Cash only.
